Poor customer service
Agents are unaware of how balance transfers function and frequently provide incorrect information. I wouldn't recommend it.
Wells Fargo CS is Horrible
On 03.31.25, my husband received a message alerting him of fraudulent activity on HIS debit card. He called WF. The representative flagged the erroneous charge/s, canceled his card, and ordered a new one.
That day, I could not use MY debit card.
WF had stopped his card and MY card.
My husband called WF, and they refused to speak to him, but asked for me. Unable to get relevant information from him, I requested a supervisor. He said that one would contact me within 24-48 hours. WF had negatively impacted my ability to access my funds, BUT I would have to WAIT to speak with someone who MIGHT have the answers needed.
The following morning, I called WF. It was explained that although my husband called, there was another charge with the same vendor on my debit card. Hence, my card was subsequently canceled. This cancellation was done without notifying me. Also, I would (now) have to request a replacement. Thus, although WF took it upon themself to nullify my card, it wasn't important to replace it or contact me.
NOW I am continuing to save recurring charges that were associated with the previous card. Daily, I am contacted regarding charges that have been kicked back or services that have been suspended. If we incur ANY fees and/or charges as they relate to the cancellation of MY debit card, Wells Fargo will be held accountable.
A week later, someone finally called my husband’s phone asking for me. They did not leave a name or number. She directed him to have me call the same number used previously. She stated that his number was the only number visible, but the account is mine.
Someone finally called me a few days later. She was concerned that the fraudulent charges had been taken care of. I asked if that was the full scope of her reason for contacting me, and she admitted that it was. Again, this had nothing, absolutely nothing, to do with my reason for contacting Wells Fargo.
I’ve been a loyal Wells Fargo customer…
I’ve been a loyal Wells Fargo customer for over 10 years. Right before leaving the U.S. for a couple of months, my account was blocked after transferring $3,500 to my son, a person I’ve sent money to monthly (usually $1,000+). I had also changed my password that day.
I explained the situation and was told to give my son a power of attorney so he could access the funds. He went to a branch twice, once without and once with the notarized document. Still, after waiting for hours, they told him I had to be there in person.
I was willing to provide any and all information, and so was my son. I even went as far as notarizing the document, and yet Wells Fargo completely ignored our efforts. Despite many calls explaining I was stranded abroad without access to my funds or a way to return, they kept repeating I needed to go in person. One representative even ended the call mid-conversation after saying, “You’ve been told multiple times to visit a branch.”
I feel completely abandoned by a bank I once trusted. This situation has hurt both my personal life and business, and I sincerely hope Wells Fargo rethinks how they treat honest, long-term customers in difficult situations.
Wells Fargo financed furniture…
Wells Fargo financed furniture purchased at Ashley
Furniture on a 12 month promotion with a $2,600
credit limit. Promotion ended last month with $925.00
balance plus $589.99 added INTEREST! New balance

This is my First account with Wells Fargo and it will be my LAST!!
I hate wells Fargo they are liars and…
I hate wells Fargo they are liars and love to charge unnecessary fees . They steal your money by charging high overdraft fees by posting things super late. Dont open an account with them.
Another call - Another theft.
Another call. Another lie. I was denied my request again even though I was told otherwise. They refuse to get me in touch with a supervisor and im left with an email.
Not transparent policy and lousy customer service
I opened a CD online and transferred the money from my checking account with WF to the new CD. When the CD matured, I called to return it to the same checking account. They didn't allow it and told me that I had to go to the branch or that they could send a check to me. I was not aware of that when I opened the CD. They transferred my call to three different people. The third person had no clue what happened and just told me to wait for my "case manager" to contact me via phone or email. When I asked if she had my contact information, she was unsure and had to check again. It looks like they do not care about customers. The bad feedback here reflects that. I will move my money to another bank ASAP.
Wells Fargo: where your money is safe, unless someone wants it. Then it’s your problem.
Bravo, Wells Fargo. Really. Applause all around.
Because nothing says top-tier fraud protection like letting a 19-year-old’s ATM card get cloned, used to withdraw $142.50 three times in a row at the exact same Rockford, Illinois ATM, inside a liquor store no less, and then letting the thief wipe out her savings — all without so much as a peep from your so-called “security system.”
No text.
No email.
No call.
No red flags.
Just vibes, apparently.
Never mind that her ENTIRE transaction history is in Keller and Fort Worth, Texas — you know, where she actually lives. But sure, I guess you figured she just teleported to Illinois for a spontaneous 3-minute ATM joyride?
And then — here’s the real masterpiece — you DENY her fraud claim. “No fraud detected,” you say. Just three identical ATM withdrawals and a cleaned-out savings account in a city she’s never been to. Totally normal.
Your advice? Oh, it’s rich.
“Go file a police report in Rockford.”
“Maybe they’ll pull security footage.”
“Then you can sue in civil court.”
Ah yes — because what every teenager wants to do when their money is stolen is become a cross-state private investigator with a law degree. What a lovely customer service model: “Good luck, kid!”
Honestly, if Wells Fargo spent half as much time protecting accounts as they do writing denial letters and passing the buck, maybe — just maybe — this kind of disgrace wouldn’t happen.
Wells Fargo: where your money is safe, unless someone wants it. Then it’s your problem.
Unreal.
By the way, i covered her. Now you owe me $600…and change
Wellsfargo
Poor customer service very discriminatory
I have been banking with WellsFargo for well over 15 years. Their customer service is exquisitely poor. Despite running millions of dollars they provided me with virtually NO assistance business wise or personal wise in terms of growth. Sdditionally after having a credit card with NO late payments they closed the card. Their practices are discriminatory and arbitrary. I have received much better treatment at another bank immediately. When I brought this to their attention, it fell upon deaf ears and then 6 month later my card was closed.
Appointments required for too many things. Bait and switch.
We are having some major construction expenses with a savings account and checking accounts in prime checking. These will go below the minimum for the "prime" checking account, which would then start incurring a $25 monthly fee. We also have close to a million in mortgages with Wells Fargo and they used to count 10% of the mortgage amount but not now. Bait and switch. We would have preferred to stay with the prime account as statements came in one mailing and it would seem like less postage costs for Wells Fargo. We transferred the savings account into a checking account online and was told it only required a phone call to close the now zero balance account, but now we have to take an afternoon off work to drive in and close the account in person. Why can't a prime account be changed back to individual accounts without going into a branch? This is very inconvenient and costs time money for people who need to take hours off work to go into a branch.
Wells fargo is going to lose a lot of…
Wells fargo is going to lose a lot of customers. I'm for one, I have been with them for 7 years, after someone has stolen money from my son's account and he had it investigated, They said they would put the money back in. Now it's March, since December his money has been still pending, When he could call the office they tell him a lie saying when to look for the money and it's not in his account. Call back a few times it's a runaround. And now you cannot get through the line, Wells fargo is a scam to me. Ppl got bills to pay, and now u cannot trust them to get your money back if someone take it from your account. Even had the manager of Wells fargo from Virginia to call the 1800 number and she cannot get through and she even said that it was ridiculous. I'm closing my account so is my family members. You really cannot trust any bank, knowing Trump and his administration got some strings to it. Be aware!!
They Suggested That I Commit Fraud
I was lied to about an issue (some time ago). Today, in trying to solve it, the agent suggested that I do some things that did not sit well with me. I was shocked at the suggestion, then after ward, when thinking about it, I realized that what they suggested was fraud. It is bad enough that they lied to me, it is all the worse that they suggested I commit fraud to cover up their lie. No way. -Yes, I did call back to file a complaint, but the next agent justified. While they did take the complaint, that will be whitewashed I'm sure.
This company stole about 6k in cashback…
This company stole about 6k in cashback after closing my credit card for no reason. I didn't make any late payments and my credit score had not changed since I got the card. I had to call them 3 times over the course of 2 hours and was transfer multiple times because the support couldn't answer my questions. After the 3rd time of having support hang up on me, I just gave up and went to the branch and not even they could answer my questions about my account. I would stay far away from this company they do not care for there customers
This bank WFargo supports fraudulent…
This bank WFargo supports fraudulent charges on my credit card even after I SUPPORTED ALL EVIDENCE it had been a fraud, including police report filed next day after committed fraud. Dispute depatment has received all relevant information : copies of all receipts, my ID, police officer ID, etc. I called the bank the very next day after discovery this fraud. But they ignored as always and continue to charge late fee. I am Disabled military veteran and such attitude from Well Fargo is conspiracy with crooks. My total loss due WF actions is more $ 13,500 starting April 2024 to March 2025.
My son get scammed from car dealership…
My son get scammed from car dealership I call bank to stop processing transaction but it’s belive that transaction get instantly .I filled claim after one week give back money on my account but after one month they are taking money again from my account.I call bank and ask why my money taken again they said you have to send us receipt that dealer send money back. Zero Stars.
Zero Stars.
Since last October I have been attempting to make a complete balance payment in order to close my credit card account. This involved going in person to my old bank in Durango CO, (I live in Germany by the way), wherein they made a mistake and did not quote the correct balance, meaning I did not pay the correct final amount. They were not able to provide me with a new PIN due to my living in Germany and having a German phone, so I had, and continue to have, absolutely no on-line access. No problem though, as surely I can just wire a payment from my bank here, right? Wrong.
Four-and-a-half months later, after nearly 6 hours on the phone, (all legally recorded and kept), AND after opening a separate account in another country wherein WF assured me I could make a payment with my new debit card, (after all other attempts at payment failed), I was finally informed that, “No. You actually cannot make a payment in any of the ways we said you could. Sorry ‘bout that! BUT, here is the info you will need to wire your payment from another source. We don’t know why it took four-and-a-half months to provide this, but, you know, we’re Wells Fargo.”
Infuriating to say the least, but it gets worse. Because surely I will not have to pay the interest accrued during this time, right? Wrong. I have 4.5 months of interest that I now owe thanks to WF’s mistake and their inability to properly communicate what was required in order to make a payment from abroad. They have denied my very reasonable request to expunge said interest. No one in Durango will answer the phone, and no one from this branch has returned my emails asking for assistance in this matter. Typical customer service for this corporation apparently. Trust me, I was a customer for over 30 years. I know. I have changed my address 3 times; once in person in Durango and twice on the phone, and apparently all communications are still sent to my old state-side address. They claim this change did not happen until the end of February, yet I have the phone conversations that prove otherwise. Not to mention the paperwork in Durango, unless they burned that.
So now it is my sole focus to ensure that I cost this institution far, far more than what I will be paying in interest. Do NOT support this institution when there are many local banks available who will be more than happy to treat you like an actual customer. Do NOT support this institution when there are many local banks available who will be more than happy to help you when problems arise. Do NOT support this institution when there are many local banks available who will be more than happy to admit when they are wrong and will speak with you to arrive at a reasonable solution. Wells Fargo has a long and well-documented history of corruption and unethical behavior. Stay as far away as possible unless you want to be treated like some faceless number by those who profit from situations such as mine, and worse. And spread the word. Rest assured that I will continue to do exactly that, and more.
They are a disaster
I took out a car loan with Wells Fargo and got a bill soon after. I tried setting up online payments per the bill’s instructions — didn't work. Five different people and 30 minutes later, I finally paid and was assured the account issue would be fixed. It wasn’t. A month later, after another 30 minutes and two clueless reps, I was told to visit a branch because I couldn't pay through the phone. I hung up, called back, and suddenly could pay over the phone. The billing department and the people who send the mail clearly don’t talk to each other. Customer service is atrocious. It's chaos from the CEO down to the woman who answers the calls — avoid at all costs.
BEWARE OF THE BRANCH AT 137 N. FAIRFAX AVE IN LOS ANGELES
BEWARE OF THE BRANCH AT 137 N. FAIRFAX AVE IN LOS ANGELES!
This bank branch employee tellers that are thieves and this shouldn't be surprising what with the fraud nonsense WF was engaging in years ago. They probably still are. The following account is condensed.
On 2/28/2025, I made a cash deposit with the teller ENZO VASQUEZ was told the correct amount deposited. I barely get to the car and realize I'm short $100 because it's not reflected on my receipt. When I went right back to ENZO VASQUEZ, this person already had the $100 on the counter to deposit and knew they screwed up. Why would $100 be on the counter to deposit into my account after I come back in? What kind of crap is going on here?
I then asked to speak with a manager and here comes KATRINA who claimed to be looking into it or something. I asked her if they background check their employees and she said yes. OK. OK Liar. I then later on spoke with MIKE ISSAKHANI AND ROCIO PALOMERA and lies and BS was flowing from their mouth like sh*t from as*!. Where was a roll of toilet paper when you need it?
I get an email from WF Executive Office and some "human" named Dennis (844-576-6424) who claimed to be looking into it. I was told today it was closed with no resolution. So tellers can steal and you do nothing? I'm not surprised. One only needs to read about that scandal to see what type of turds these people are.
Wells Fargo is a criminal organization. Staffed with criminals. The lowest of the low, worse than sewer rats. Stay away especially from this branch.

Just Signing Up is a Nightmare
I attempted to open a new account for a sign-on bonus. Instead of using the phone number I provided upon sign up, Wells Fargo used a phone number from high school. They refused to update the phone number via the phone or even provide a code to sign into my account after an extensive process to verify my identity. I will be closing the account as soon as I receive my account information in the mail.
