Great service from initial contact until work completed. A rat problem was traced to a broken sewer in the garden. The team, Ben Cartmell & Martin Lye, were excellent. From lifting my patio, digging... See more

After a fairly positive visit to find our stopcock out by the road (they didn't find it), the team came back out to dig a hole in our drive and put another one into the pipe.
In so doing, they damaged our gas pipe and necessitated an emergency call-out by the gas people. This led to a week of chaos and disruption and some adverse alterations to our actual house to bring the gas service back. Our drive is now marred by three large patches and some ugly infrastructure we could have done without, all because the digging - which had already found the water pipe - continued and caused this damage.
If I could sue for redress of the consequent damage, stress and inconvenience this has all created, I would in an instant.
I'm just grateful that the gas people (despite all the consequent harms their work had to create) didn't sever the electricity cable and go for the hat-trick of horrors. It feels as though the house was violated by this whole unnecessary process, all due to carelessness.

Jamie came out to investigate a long standing pungent smell coming up from under our floor boards, and in the front and back garden. He was extremely helpful, very engaging and knowledgeable. Constantly reassessing us that he would resolve the issue and was incredibly thorough in doing so. Went above and beyond any expectations we had and is a credit to Wessex Water

Initial call to report the problem was dealt with efficiently and in a friendly manner. The Engineer came within a couple of hours, was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and dealt promptly with the problem. We can't thank him enough.

Wessex Water has consistently communicated to users that there was enough water and a hosepipe band was not going to be necessary.
Then suddenly, with no notice, they U turn on that position, and impose a band starting less than 15 hours from the time of the announcement.
This is extremely poor communications, and destroys trust.
Say one thing, and do another.

The phone number listed does not work. Getting hold of you is a nightmare. The option I want does not appear on the drop down list. 'Other' gives me a phone number that doesn'tnwork. I did once manage to speak to an actual human but the info I was sent was of no use. I have an account with you for my home at 7, Brewery Lane, Salisbury SP1 2LJ. I am NOT moving house but I would like to havevthe water connected andvopen an account for a separate studio room at 2 Coach House, Charter Court, Gigant Street Salisbury SP1 2LH. And when did you last build a reservoir? We have known for years that climate change was on its way. England now seems to have two seasons: wet and dry. So collect and store water in the wet to use in the dry. Everyone in the country knows this - except the water companies.

Exemplary customer service experience from all different team members that I spoke with that were involved in rectifying our manhole cover. Everything happened exactly as was explained on the phone. From initial call to rectification this was all resolved within a maximum of seven working days.

REF NO: 064919799001 David was extremely professional carrying out this job, he explained everything he did to help. He even went out of his way to look in a few other drains to find the problem!

Sent me a red demand for a bill which I hadn't received. Went to pay the amount immediately. Was sent an email stating that my "request" had been received and they would be in touch within 48 hours. 72 hours and counting. 🤬

Finally I sit down in the home office, send the family out for a walk and tell them that if they come back and hear any shouting or swearing coming from the office, they shouldn’t worry — I’m not finished yet. Bottle of water, open window, plenty of air. I sit down. Grab the first bill that happens to be in front of me and decide to call the helpline to close the account at the old address and open one at the new one.
Okay. Let’s go. Wessex Water.
Two rings and there she is. An angel of speed, efficiency and a lovely voice: simply an Angel. Abby! Not some artificial AI creature. A living human being. And without having to press 3, 3, 1 and 4. Straight through to her.
She — the Angel. Quick questions, clear answers. Everything sorted in a few minutes.
I put the phone down and had to take a moment to recover. Of all the things I expected, this was not one of them. I resolved an important matter in just a few minutes! How is that even possible? Abby — thank you.(Bristol Office)

Contacting Wessex Water is direct and quick. I spoke to a lady who was empathetic to my problem regarding sewage drain blockage. She escalated the job and kept me informed. As promised a person arrived promptly and spent over an hour deblocking my drains .
Zac was very polite and helpful. Zac phoned me to inform me when he would arrive and although it was Friday PM and extremely hot 35c ; Zac was very thorough and had to go above and beyond to solve issues created by a landscaper who had recently layed tiles over the drains making it difficult to open the covers and exposing harden concrete left in the drains by the landscaper. At one stage Zac had to chip the concrete out that was deep with the drain.
I cannot speak highly enough about Wessex Water. I wish all companies were as customer friendly and professional.
