I've enjoyed using their service for 2 years, but the pricing is crazy: November 2023: £54 November 2024: £108 This year's "offer" : £210. Inflation from 2023 would suggest I should be paying arou... See more

Never, Ever Sign Up To A WeTransfer Subscription
I signed up for month at $34 to retrieve one older download and cancelled it immediately. Since then I've been charged every month. If i log in to WeTransfer, it says i have no subscription. Then they have some ridiculous scam that says maybe you joined using Apple or Google and if you did, you have to go in there to cancel. But even when i go into those applications, I have no subscriptions for WeTransfer. I've emailed them and whilst they did refund me and claim they cancelled the subscription (that I can't find exists anywhere), yep, you guessed it, yet another charge in March and back on the merry go round to get that money back. This company is such a money scamming dodgy enterprise. Use someone else to transfer files.
Possibly the worst customer service I have experienced
Seriously bad customer service.
Contacted Wetransfer to request that they stop sending me marketing emails, as these come without any "unsubscribe" link - in breach of GDPR.
I stated pretty clearly that the link was missing and also very clearly requested that they delete my data.
I used short bullet points to highlight the issue as well as the requests, as I know a lot of CS staff can't be bothered to read emails in full.
Received a pretty patronising response from them just saying that I can unsubscribe myself using the link in the email. They then proceeded to ask that I fill in a form to request data deletion.
I responded attaching a screenshot of the email without any unsubscribe link and making it clear that, under GDPR, my original written request was more than sufficient for them to proceed to delete my data.
Cue - a second patronising response from another member of staff, blaming my email provider (Outlook) for the missing unsubscribe link and asking further questions about my data erasure request.
Ridiculous. Seriously bad..
(To preempt possible censorship by the company - the experience is with an alternative email address to the one linked to my TrustPilot account - but the name is very much the same).
Beware! Easy to sign up for impossible to cancel
Utter scam to get your cash with a free trial! They make it practically impossible to cancel and when you do they continue to steal your money. When you ask for their help you receive a condescending automated response informing that if you go onto four different sites, request a refund for the service you managed to cancel weeks ago you might, possibly, 'get back some of the cash we took..., for service we knew you cancelled... and you aren't using'... £9.99 a week taken from my account after I cancelled the subscription!
Thank you for your service
absolutely shitty webiste
absolutely shitty webiste, don't even know how this big of a company can have a website so complicated to use
We Don't Want To Sign Up
I had the misfortune of being given a link to this site to get a PDF from a company I used. The download experience was horrible, they're one of those slimy companies that keeps trying to get you to sign up or trick you into entering information even when it's not required.
Forced downloading
don’t appreciate being forced to download the whole appjust to download a file on mobile version. If users genuinely want your app, they will download it willingly. Forcing it through a single mandatory file only creates frustration and makes the experience feel pushy. A good product should attract users naturally not annoy them into installing it.
I sometimes use this service to send…
I sometimes use this service to send large files. The upload speed is normal, but the free version is very limited. Links expire too quickly, and once files are sent, there is no way to monitor them. It works for simple cases, but I wouldn't rely on this program on a regular basis.
Terrible service.
Terrible service.
Continue to deduct fees even though I've been on the free plan for months. Every month I have to fight with them to get a refund!!!
Increased fees and no extra features to justify
Apart from just upping me fees and almost doubling it in a year while also making our content able to be used in AI content and overall a minimal service I can’t justify the expense of over 250 pounds a year, so looking for alternatives as this service is not worth this much money
Wetransfer is a scam
Wetransfer is a scam. we have been billed monthly for 4 months at $34 and have been to website three times to cancel account only to be billed continuously.
Received an email from wetransfer saying our account had been canceled and all our data would be deleted (no problem because never used). I thought it was over but have been billed 2 more months after cancellation.
I gave these SCAMMERS 1 star rating because I had to.
If I could give minus 5 stars I would.
Be careful with this company
Be careful with this company! I never signed up for any subscription or gave my approval for anything. I realized I was getting billed weekly $9.99. I spoke to Apple and Apple told me I would have to speak to WeTransfer so I did. A person by the name Mila responded to me and told me that there was nothing they can do about those charges and that I would have to speak to Apple. They are useless! Can you imagine getting billed for something you never signed up for and they don’t want to fix it lol they’re a joke! Dont ever deal with this company, I’ve been being billed from them and they don’t want to fix their errors stay away!
Paying customer and they try to…
Paying customer and they try to increase my payment mid term so i will go elsewhere.
WeTransfer used to be great
WeTransfer used to be great - not anymore, its slow, unreliable and a waste of time!
Scummy garbage
Greedy site wants you to accept cookies just to intercept an important video sent your way.
Then if you need to re-download it at a later time, they "self-destruct" it; not unless you pay these idiots who are extorting you for it with a subscription.
And WeTransfer also pulled an Adobe by changing the terms to allow them to scrape anything uploaded to them.
What a waste of time
What a waste of time. WeTransfer owes me four hours of my life back. I have a paid subscription and tried to send a single 23GB file overnight. My computer was set to caffeinate mode so nothing would interrupt the transfer. I monitored the upload closely; nothing was interfering, yet both attempts failed, one stopping at 75 percent and the other at 60 percent.
Four hours lost, zero delivery. A paid service that cannot reliably transfer a single large file overnight is not a professional tool but a liability. When a platform fails silently with no warning, no recovery, and no accountability, it forfeits trust entirely. WeTransfer is no longer worth using for serious work.
saved my ass
Outrageous price hike and ads - (10 year user)
I've been using wetransfer since 2014. I've been recommending to everyone. I've had a professional plan for 8 years. Suddenly the price doubles and they clutter the user interface with ads.
This is a textbook example of how not to respect your existing customer base.
WeTransfer is a prejudiced service that is not worth trying!
I've tried to send the recent travel photographs I took in British Columbia to my friend in Russia using the WeTransfer service. I've uploaded the files to their server successfully and shared the link with my friend in Russia.
She received a message from the WeTransfer team that, because she is from Russia, she cannot download any files. They will not allow her to do that. Unbelievable!
In my opinion, WeTransfer is a prejudiced company that does not have any consideration for people living in other countries. They never even notified me from the beginning that the files could not be downloaded by anyone from Russia.
Just take a look at what they wrote about their company:
"WeTransfer makes fast, secure file sharing accessible for everyone around the world. Focused on privacy and ease of use, it’s no wonder WeTransfer is one of the most widely-used file sharing solutions."
It is surely not "for everyone around the world"!
I only gave one star but I’d like to…
I only gave one star but I’d like to give none. Utterly appalling customer service with a maze to get through to even get in touch with them. Automated emails shield WeTransfer from our ire until the end of time. I unsubscribed AND deleted my account and have evidence but I saw recently that I still held a (free) account. I just logged on with my phone to see to my horror that I still am an Ultimate (paying) customer a month later. What a complete scam. Furious. I’m £42 pounds lighter.
poor
this is how to turn a good webstie and service in to complete junk avoid
