i recently purchased a transit custom from wheelers, ben was my sales executive and i found him friendly very professional, the whole experience was very easy and ben answered all questions and explained things very clearly, when i collected my transit it had been valeted and was spotlessly clean, i would recommend anyone to go see ben and take a look round their vehicles, customer service was perfect and any questions were answered promptly
Excellent customer service! Ben and his team were welcoming, informative and reliable. When I came to pick up my car it had been serviced, thoroughly cleaned, all the paperwork had been done and it had been taxed in my name. 100% would recommend!
Collected my wifes car today from Ben @ Wheelers, presented like new! found the whole process very easy and relaxed - would recommend them for sales & service..
Excellent service from beginning to end of the buying process. Ben was friendly and professional. Can’t fault them.
well I will keep to the facts on my experience, all along I have tried to find a resolution to my issues raised, I still am, I don't believe it will' as communication has broken down, resulting in some very inappropriate accusations and statements from a sales executive at the offices.
so purchased a car from them, I am in yorkshire so was very dubious about buying at distance, it so happens the garage won my car on an online auction, we started discussions about the car, I asked for a video on the car, never the best, its not like getting in front of the car, so all appeared well, so we progressed with the sale.
I was asked to sell the car directly, not through the online auction, this made me uncomfortable.
So a price was agreed, and terms of the sale were agreed, not withstanding the saving the purchase of mine, commission and delivery of the new car and collection of my old car.
I asked the sales man to go over the car to highlight any damage, I specifically asked to highlight stone chip damage, wheel damage, the sales person did find some dents, a damaged wheel, he explained there were a few marks on the bonnet which looked like the original owner had tried to sort, he would get his body shop to deal with the marks, the alloy.
The car arrived, on Thursday 19th sept, the car was delivered with a lot more miles on it than what was advertised, taking off the miles to get it up.
The following day I had an opportunity to look at the car in depth, I was not happy, despite a 6hr detail I was told, the panoramic sunroof surround had cracks in the corner, and it looked like someone had repaired the other side, not very well, plus the front of the car has been destroyed with stone chips, and paint touch ups.
I sent an email to the salesman and phoned, I didn't get a reply that day, I called the following day, in my email I suggested I wanted out of the car as it was not what I was expecting, I suggested a means that would work for the both of us.
I received an email with a solution that I thought would work, wrapping the panel, an agreement was made on the roof, the other damage was ignored.
After spending a day going to vinyl wrapping companies and body shops, it was clear wrapping would not work, and the only solution was replacement.
Wheelers agreed to replace the part, we agreed a day for me to come down and apparently, it could be done in a day.
I arrived early at the dealership, 8.15, the car was taken away, 4 hrs I was told, so 4 hrs later I came back, the body shop had issues removing the panel, so i waited, and while I was there i discussed the damage, to the front, I know its a used car, the damage was excessive, again silence.
so finally at around 3, i asked the sales person, to check what was happening, I had a long drive ahead of me, he checked, the car wasn't going to be ready so he offered me a car to drive home in or stay overnight and take my car home the following morning, the premier inn was booked and paid for by wheelers, the salesman, agreed they would pay for a meal and breakfast, I paid that and returned the receipt the following morning, I have yet to receive payment for my out of pocket expenses, and I have sent a few email asking for the monies.
So got the car, approx 6 days later i noticed a lot of noise coming from around the sunroof, didn't think anything about it, it wasn't until a few days later it started making a lot of noise, so I checked around to see what it could be, well the surround had been fitted in such a way it moved rubbing against the sunroof causing creaking, this is only apparent on a warm day, I suspect the plastic was expanding, again because of the way it has been fitted, causing noise.
So I highlighted the issue, and that's when the communication broke down, I noticed my old car a mini was on the forecourt, so I suggested we cancel the sale I get my old car back, refund the monies, well that didn't go down well at all, it was suggested I had sellers remorse, and in capital and exclamation marks, I was told you are not getting your old car back.
Now this did not sit with me as I had told the salesperson in person and email, that I only sold the car because of my elderly parents, and my mother is on end of life care, so needed a bigger car.
And this really is quite upsetting when after that I get another email, after I had asked for a solution which would work for both parties, I received a response, I don't think there is a solution available that you would find agreeable.
Now I offered a solution after that response, I was met by silence.
Finally I have had to reject this car, why, the car was misrepresented, damage was missed that the dealership knew about, they have photographic images of other damage found, the car overall was poor.
Wheelers helped with the roof, if I returned the car back on after my original email, I would happily talk to wheelers and find a solution, they do not seem to want to.
Got a focus st from wheelers, looked ok in photos had a test drive went ok ,had car driven to me week later , when I had chance to properly look it over not been told it’s been repaired painted one side and front bumper, sales said was best st he ever seen , you can see scratches in paint on bumper just spray over not fill in , don’t by from them

We dealt with Amber Rodd whom delivered clear communication and support from the 1st phone call of interest in the vehicle to buying the car. We took about an hour to physically look it over with no pressure at all and then took it on a test drive. I was impressed with how smoothly the whole process went and picked the car up 2 weeks later, with minor vehicle issues resolved as promised. Great car buying experience.
