I waited in ALL day for the engineer to arrive, then recieved a message to say he’s been and we weren’t in! Nobody knocked or rang the door bell at all! What a complete waste of my time! Absolutely appalling service DO NOT RECOMMEND
Disappointing after sales service
I've been waiting for a replacement condenser unit for my Hotpoint tumble dryer, purchased in December 2023, for three weeks now. The first order I made never turned up.Then I was sent a filter unit instead. Now I'm told I have to wait until one is in stock having been assured a week ago it would arrive within a week. Really? Stock for a very common part? I'm not impressed especially as I'm also waiting for a repair to my 2 year old Hotpoint cooker.
Automation has taken over. Frustrating.
Impossible to speak with a human being. Everything is automated & none of the "options" match my query. Just so frustrating.

Failed to find initial fault, cancelled two appointments on same day as appointment was due to take place, meaning loss of annual leave. Very poor service as I have been waiting 5 weeks for oven to be fixed and have been advised not to use it as it could cause a fire if used.
Extreme incompetence and the poorest quality
My dishwasher stopped working after 2 months after a purchase. I’ve booked a warranty repair. They had failed to repair it after 4 weeks of waiting time and 4 visits. By different engineers every time. All are outrageously incompetent.
The 1st engineer didn’t show up.
The 2nd engineer misdiagnosed the issue.
The 3rd engineer came, replaced pump part but said the issue is in a circuit board which he doesn’t have right now.
The 4th engineer replaced the board and said everything works. But it in fact did’t work.
I am still waiting for the working repair to be done. So far they have shown themselves to be an absolutely unreliable and incompetent manufacturer.

Made an appointment for whirlpool engineer to come & fix my washing machine a week in advance. 24hrs before he is due I get notified that my appointment is cancelled and is rescheduled for further 3 days later!! Now I got to take another day off work!! This is the last time I use whirlpool!! Awful awful service! Don’t even have a common decency to call you and let you know in person of the cancellation!! Awful impersonal service! Never again!!
Problems with delivery
I've ordered a new washing machine and I'm trying to arrange a delivery slot.
When I try online it keeps rejecting my legitimate postcode so I cannot proceed. When I call to arrange, I was cut off as the line was bad ( even though I could hear the operator clearly. How am I supposed to arrange delivery??

First 2 visits engineer turned up with damaged fridge doors to replace the one that was damaged on delivery of our new fridge(time taken off work to be at home for engineer-2 days holidays wasted) another days holiday taken for next appointment which was cancelled on the day as parts had not been delivered. I'm going to start charging them.
Hotpoint customer service and repair team
I had an appointment come through for my fridge after the repair guy turned up last week 26th February and decided he wasn't doing the job an said another repair man would be along an no1 didn't show up. After a week of unsuccessful attempts of trying to speak to hotpoint/whirlpool another appointment was made by hotpoint for today between 12-3pm an then it got cancelled at 8.12am this morning an I have been trying to get through again only to experience the same problem but speaking to someone in one team and then been transfered over to another team 4 times where the automated system disconnects the call! I finally got transfered to someone on the fifth attempt, to be told another appointment has been booked for 1st March i asked if It could still go ahead since the time hadn't come yet and was told no, asked to speak to a manager or supervisor because I don't see why I should have to wait yet another week and be inconvenienced AGAIN due to the lack of communication and incompetence of customer service and the repair team and been refused to and the phone disconnected because I'm pursuing my request and right to speak to a manager or supervisor!!
22 years this month i have been a loyal customer and I have never experienced anything like this, let alone last month I had to wait nearly 2 months to get my washing machine fixed and I have 2 children and I work and I also suffer with anxiety PTSD and mental health, thank you hotpoint/whirlpool good job🤷🏾♀️🤦🏽♀️🧘🏾♀️
Complicated, Useless, No help at all
Hopeless trying to speak to a human being, they don't have any. I've been trying for the last hour to cancel an engineer visit. I give up. When the Engineer turns up I'll tell him/her to cancel their visit and offer a cup of tea.

Hopeless service
Hopeless service! I contacted D and G to book my repair. I took a day off work to stay home for this. The appointment was cancelled on the morning of the appointment at 8.59. Too late for me then to go to work. The appointment was re booked for two days later. Yet again in the morning of the repair at 10.30 it was cancelled. I was then sent details of a third repair but cannot take another day off work, especially when I imagine the same thing will happen. It has also been impossible to speak to an agent. When you press option 3 to speak to an agent, the recorded message is ‘Thank you for contacting Whirlpool. Goodbye’ Absolutely appalling and to think I pay a monthly insurance premium for this! I really wanted to give this zero stars but for some reason it didn’t allow it!

After an Engineer attended the wrong property and looked at the wrong Appliance because the correct address had not been noted as the Company said it had been. i could not speak with anyone only a "Bot" which could not register a complaint or refer to a person only say to phone the Customer Service which was not taking calls .Both Customer Service and BOT cut off communication
Above said after persevering on calling Customer Service did get through to a person"Michelle" who deserves a pay rise for calming a disgruntled customer ,explaining why at their end the Address had not been changed and resolving the problem
Moral of the story People trump AI Bots and human experience/empathy is highly valuable
Don't buy Hotpoint products
Don't buy Hotpoint products. When they go wrong you CANNOT contact hotpoint via the phone or online.
Every time I try to contact their "customer support" line it runs though a 5 minute automated routine , tells me theres no one to take my call and I should go to the website and speak to the chatbot which also disconnects you randomly. The worst customer service I have ever encountered.
