I used WhoCanFixMyCar to obtain quotes and communicate with garages. Following a dispute with one garage, I raised a formal complaint.
My concern is not the garage itself, but how the platform handled the situation:
• Message history related to my complaint is no longer visible in my account, while much older conversations remain accessible
• This message history was the key evidence for my complaint
• My review of the garage was removed for “breach of terms,” but no clear explanation was provided
• My complaint was closed without addressing these concerns, and responses focused on unrelated points
I understand this is a marketplace platform, but removing access to recent communication and not providing transparency around moderation decisions raises serious concerns.
Users should be aware that they may not retain access to important records once a case is closed, and that complaint handling may not fully address the issues raised.

Review:
Used WhoCanFixMyCar to get quotes and raised a complaint about a garage.
Main issues were never properly addressed. Instead:
• Message history related to my case disappeared, while older messages remain
• My review was removed for “breach of terms” with no clear explanation
• Complaint was closed without resolving these concerns
In response to FixMyCar’s reply:
My concern is not about escalation options, but about transparency on your platform — specifically why relevant message history is no longer visible and why my review was removed without clear justification. These points have still not been addressed.
I would recommend keeping your own records and not relying on the platform for complaint resolution.

Booked full service through Fix My Car. Booking was easy. Finding the garage was a bit difficult but the people were excellent and the price was very reasonable. I would happily go back again in future.

DONT USE IT! while it does get you in contact with garages. It also gives your phone number to hundreds of spam callers. Inm guessing they let anyone sign up as a garage, since asking for a quote, I receive 5 spam calls a day from insurance scams to bank scams. Curse you fix my car. You shall rue the day.

Booked my car in for a service, got forwarded to a garage with an automated response - left message to garage through whocanfixmycar only to be ignored - was given a date for service but no time - had to call garage on day of service to be told "Sorry, this slipped through the net". Had to completely re-plan my weekend.
