I used FixMy Car to get qoutes for an aircon regas on a 2022 Ford Puma.
Of the four garages offered, I chose the most convenient , which was also the cheapest, and selected from the offered dates which was Wednesday 8th July.
I got an email confirming my booking has been made, but please contact the garage to confirm booking arrangements.
Car: Puma Ford 2023 - CP72***
Service: Aircon Regas - £55
I thought this would be just the time on the day, but looking at the garages website, the price quoted was clearly for R134a, the older and cheaper standard, despite the age of the car meaning it clearly needs the newer standard gas.
I tried phoning the garage three times, got voicemail each time. Left my details. The appointment date has now passed with no contact from the garage.
A total waste of time.

Got quoted £60 for air con regas. Chose the garage. Garage on arrival quoted £129. Said fix my cars quotes always wrong. Won’t use them again

Absolutely appalling, I booked work, got 2 conflicting emails about where and when the work would be done, phoned to only number to be told, after almost an hour on hold, it was the wrong department and someone would be in touch tomorrow, I seriously doubt that as that never asked my phone number, there is no number for the local garage
I am now in limbo not knowing if the repair will ever be done by then
Avoid at all costs

Helped me to find a local garage for urgent car repairs - saved a lot of money compared to taking it to the manufacturer or another larger garage that are usually overpriced for parts and labour. Glad I came across this site the garages will quote based on the work required and then you just filter out all the overpriced scammers and connect with a positively reviewed local company to save £££

I was quoted £59 for my air con regas on the fix my car website, when I had it done at Formula One auto centre 152 Abbey Lane Leicester, they charged me £69 and told me the price of £59 on your site was wrong.
I was not happy to pay £10 more than quoted on your site. Because of this, I
Will be weary of using you again.

Booked my car in with f1 through fix my car for a air con recharge, phoned the garage the next day to confirm my booking to be told my car wasn't booked in and the price they quoted was totally different and much more expensive.

Mechanic did not show. Rang him and he said the date for service was different to date on the schedule. Inconsistent service would not recommend.
Further to my review and as requested. The repair was scheduled, in the app for 1 July, when I rang the mechanic on the 1 July to confirm and schedule he said he had it as 9 July. He was apologetic nevertheless, this was no good to me. Clearly there is a disconnect between him and your system. This was my first time to use your service. I ve now found an alternative. I hope that helps

A very strange and disjointed service when using for the first time. Booked a slot with a garage but got no confirmation. Rang the garage and they had no clue of the booking. Booked another slot with a different garage and they don't do vans as the other garage. Then I had other random bookings in my account. What a mess and there's need to be a distinction between cars and vans, surely it can't be that difficult as you need to input your reg anyway.

As a garage with over 10 years with them I was treated unfairly. I had a customer cancel directly with me and they still charged me for the job. I was also told by one of their employees that if I paid it I would be refunded and they then refused. Would avoid.

What a waste of my time. First time I have used fix my car, I received and accepted a quote to fix my driver side electric window from a mobile mechanic, who messaged to say he would arrive and do the job on Monday 29th June. He did not turn up, and when I messaged to ask where he was he did not reply to explain the no-show. Disappointing.
