Terrible service. Fix my Car booked me in at a non-existent time slot 6-9am and the garage knew nothing about it and were full. Told me not to use them again. Half a day wasted.

The engineer kept me up to date with his arrival time and arrived as predicted. He was efficient and kept the work site as clean as he found it

Hello
This company is being recommended to me by my friend that they have good prices and they are very reliable and friendly
And easy to apply on their website

Booking was easy enough but one company I tried could not do the job quoted for at all and the other couldn’t do it until after the day of the appointment and then wanted to charge £140 rather than the £75 they had quoted despite giving them all the details requested.

The garage Mells Auto Repair that was recommended by FixMyCar did an excellent job. I could not for the life of me find a garage that would change a wetbelt on a 2018 Honda Civic. I got turned away by my usual garage and 2 others around the Frome area.

When we arrived at the Formula 1 repair centre for the regas we were told that the fix my car quote was only an estimate of the price and was then told it was £69 £10 more than was quoted so had to accept as the work was already planned into our day not happy

I used FixMyCar to find a reliable mechanic for a specific Audi AdBlue error. SAD Automotive accepted the job but sent an initial technician who lacked the basic tools to scan the car. A second technician arrived and demanded an extra fee on my driveway that was never part of the FixMyCar quote. To make matters worse, the diagnostic advice was totally conflicting—the mechanic on-site told me he didn't know what was wrong and offered an illegal software bypass, while the office later emailed claiming it was a specific, heavily marked-up sensor. FixMyCar needs to vet their network better. This was a completely substandard, stressful experience.

Very poor, booked in to Formula One Autos, with confirmation of a date, rang Formula one on the day, they said they had no record and that FixMyCar is unreliable and offers appointments that don’t exist

Very quick to organise several quotes for my 2 cars which needed a air con re-charge

Bought 2 tyres via Ebay, fine. When you go to pay you are prompted by FixmyCar to opt for the fitting of the tyres at a cost of £53.90. I picked my local F1 Autocentre from their drop down menu. My tyres we delivered by the seller to the Tyre store quickly I knew this as you get a message from ebay and the courier to say so and here's where it all goes wrong!
Fix my car bombards your email with several links to choose a date an time for fitment of your tyres. I completed the link on the day I purchased the tyres. You have to enter a date/time for the complete button to be highlighted on Fixmycars website. I hear nothing to confirm the booking even though my tyres have been delivered. I call F1 Autocentres they confirm that they have the tyres but have no clue where they're from or who they're for. I mention fixmycar ebay etc etc, "we've never heard of they and don't deal with them" I arranged a fitting date and time directly with F1. So I go there today to get my tyres fitted [1 had a slow puncture so wouldn't hold pressure] as I needed the car to be safe, fitted no problem! Then the staff member asks me for payment to the tune of £50.83. Now the fitting has cost me £104.73 in total!! I email fixmycar which is ignored, then I get a bit more assertive and mention social media reviews, funnily enough I get a reply within 2 hours! The Fixmycar representative then blames me for not entering my chosen date and time for fitment via their link, I point out that you have to enter a time and date otherwise the customer cannot complete the booking, ie the tab is highlighted to complete the booking, I did this twice. She then claims that the booking has been sent to F1 Autocentres Head office so its their fault that they haven't forwarded it onto the branch. Obviously this is complete BS as the manager at the branch has said he's never heard of them. So the moral of the story is DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE VIA EBAY you've been warned!!
Update edit...
I have received a full refund after my complaint to Fixmycar thank you for that!
My recommendation is that if you do buy tyres on Ebay and need them fitted as quickly as possible after they're delivered, as was in my case, the best way to do it is to get them delivered to your home and phone your local tyre fitter to arrange fitting which is what I ended up doing anyway!
As for Fixmycar's response to my post I suggest that you streamline your service with F1 Autocentre by speeding up communication with ALL of their branches as I reiterate that the Manager had never heard of you nor did he know who the tyres were for or where they came from! Lack of communication with head office I suspect?? In respect of the link that you sent me I completed it on the day I bought my tyres and the day after that. If I didn't do it how would I know that customers have to enter the car reg number where the tyres are to be fitted ie front back etc and your selected date for fitment once you have done this the complete/send button is highlighted, once clicked the link then expires.. you even sent me another link whilst I was speaking to you and then apologised!! It's not my problem if your booking system doesn't work as advertised! Just sort it out instead of deflecting the issue.. simples!

Received quote for a repair, accepted and got a message to call the garage to confirm date, on calling garage they advised they would charge more as labour is not included in the quote.

Used FixMyCar for quotes for wet belt replacement on my Ford Focus.
Very impressed with the simple process of generating and receiving a very competitive price from a local garage. Would have been very time consuming if i hadn't used FixMyCar
