Wickes - Banbury Reviews 

We have just had a new bathroom designed and fitted by Wickes in Banbury. The level of service throughout and quality of work was great. We first met Trevor Williams in January who designed our bathroom. It was a complete renovation. The items were ordered and communication was good about when delivery would take place. The installation was carried out by Yalmaz Bash. He was courteous and hard working throughout the installation.We are extremely pleased with the end result. We would recommend Wickes to others.

I placed an order to be delivered on a selected date but only part turned up. Spoke to a lady in the store who said they would get it out the next day. I agreed the Monday and they said they would refund delivery cost. Took time of work, did not turn up rang store they said they would get the delivery manager to call me back. that didn't happen. rang again delivery manager told me they had not been given a massage to call me. She said I would have to wait until Wednesday and she would refund the delivery cost, order turned up but no refund. Rang on Wednesday when the person the phone did it straight away. raised it with customer service., but had a stock reply of sorry no reason as to why, the store had given me false information. It seems to me that the staff at Banbury Wickes just don't care

Ordered from The Banbury Branch for a May 28th Delivery of fencing.. it never arrived phoned the customer service and was told the road was blocked off (it wasnt) and it had been rescheduled for May 29th Phoned through to the banbury branch to confirm as had workers waiting and was informed it was now rebooked for June 3rd, when I Contested this they cancelled the order and refunded me.. left with the back Garden wide open and children unable to play outside during the nice weather and half term.. ended up getting the fencing from Travis Perkins 2 days earlier and cheaper (the exact same items)... wouldn't recommend again

Thank you so much to Abigail for such an excellent design service last weekend. The experience was efficient and stress free from start to finish and we now have a new bathroom design and product ready to be fitted. Thank you also to Abigail for her patience during the process.

At the beginning of February, we worked with Trevor at Wickes Banbury to choose new bathrooms - our main bathroom and an en suite. He was enthusiastic, helpful and knowledgeable. He guided us through the process of choosing fixtures and fittings and addressed our concerns about the process.

Whilst the logistics aspect needs simplifying, the installation (by Yalmaz) was executed conscientiously, intelligently and highly professionally. Various prior arrangements extended the build duration - now in May we are very pleased with the outcome.

Thank you to Trevor Williams at Banbury Wickes for my kitchen design. It was really well thought out and planned and Trevor was very quick to respond to my additional queries and changes. Very happy with the process so far.

Good quality timber and plenty of stock of wire mesh so I can build my chicken coop. Served swiftly and warmly on a bank holiday weekend too.

Lady in the kitchen was very informative when discussing the Ohio kitchen I was interested in. Havent been to Banbury Wickes for about 15 years as moved away from the area so a pleasant surprise to see a smiley face.

Went into the Banbury store today, and purchased compost for my garden i’m doing. Charlotte was very helpful, and the store was well laid out to purchase the other items I needed. Excellent service throughout!

Polite and helped me to my car

Lovely polite lad served me, I needed to get a roller painting handle to fit a roll I bought from you guys earlier and he opened a roller packet to make sure it fitted as the one i had home did not. He was calm and polite.

Kitchen being installed as I write this so can’t give 5 * at present however , so far ,we have been very pleased with the service provided through Wicks .
Trevor was extremely helpful from the start and we valued his advice .
Kitchen fitter has been excellent and I’m sure we will be delighted with the end results .

I have today ordered my shower room, I have to say, Trevor Williams, Senior Design Consultant was 5 stars 🌟 and because of the way Trevor worked with us to ensure we got what we needed.

Right, where do I start ? I've just finished fitting a new kitchen for my mother in law. A job that should have taken a couple of weeks, has taken over 2 months ! Went to Wickes to order the kitchen. Nice kitchen,good price...... When it was delivered 19 days later, one base cabinet missing. One smashed to pieces . One wall cabinet missing a door and all of its hardware. Two architraves smashed to bits . Sinks both dented. So, off to Wickes in the van to return / exchange them. Told I couldn't , as they come direct from the warehouse. Even though they had plenty of stock in store. Sooo back I go with broken/ damaged units, Finally got through to customer service. Pick up of damaged units arranged. And re delivery of replacements arranged. With a different driver for each !! W.T.F ! You couldn't make it up. So another week has passed. Opened up the replacements, and they are more broken than the first lot ! The sinks were un dented though. So that was a plus. Back on the phone . Re collection arranged and re delivery of items. 2 more weeks gone. Replacement items. Base cabinets all good, wall cabinet was for a completely different kitchen. Architraves completely missing. I'm starting to lose my s@#t now. And I will admit, I started getting a bit shouty on the phone to customer services. Hence why she put the phone down on me. But in my defence, I'm only human and I was getting to the end of my tether. So I decided to go to Wickes in Banbury and get the missing and damaged pieces replaced. And I wasn't going away empty handed this time ! Luckily the duty manager was a really nice guy and let me take the items from his stock. So finally on the 4th attempt, I had a complete kitchen . It looks lovely fitted, but what a trauma. Never ever again.

Returned a item to store and was deducted £7 delivery fee even though I ordered £200 worth of stuff and that was free delivery

Bizarre

Waited ages for the till to be free. A customer was clearly returning an item so I waited patiently.
The woman said " come over"
Didn't sound down like she was saying it to me so she said it again, this time with a little attitude.
No " Thank-you for waiting" or such like.
In response to her attitude, I said I wasn't sure she was referring to me.
She said "well I was the only one there".

Honestly, it annoyed me.

Hey Banbury Wickes, train your staff up properly. We spend more when we're treated with respect and are happy. Kerching!

Thanks to Trevor at Banbury Wickes for a great design package and a fantastic job by Nick Wait the installer, so clean, tidy and workmanship of the highest calibre and we really cannot fault it - the wife is well happy and as they say, “Happy Wife happy life”!
Seriously a top job from start to finish and a deserving 10/10

Please with kitchen fitter Matt parlett happy with kitchen .not with Trevor Williams as problem with radiator too big my mum is a old age person who had a stroke in 2021 o went with my mum into wickestold Trevor went in store to tell him he didn't care said he will sort it havent i got someone to do it costingmy mum
money.
Rang Wickes know one cares I wouldn't recommend Trevor to design kitchen to anyone .

Update following my recent review .
Eventually received all the missing or replacement parts and got the kitchen finished.
Take my advice and avoid buying your next kitchen from wickes unless you want months of hassle
