I would like to say a huge thank you to the team at the Bishop’s Stortford branch for the outstanding service I received.
From the moment I walked in first thing in the morning, a young lady on the shop floor was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and eager to help me find exactly what I needed. Her positive attitude and willingness to assist made a fantastic start to my day.
I would also like to give special recognition to Neil at the till. He was professional, knowledgeable, and extremely helpful throughout my visit. Nothing seemed too much trouble, and he went out of his way to make sure everything was sorted quickly and efficiently.
It’s rare to come across customer service of such a high standard these days, and both members of staff are a real credit to the branch and the company. Their friendliness, professionalism, and genuine desire to help made the whole experience a pleasure.
Thank you again to the team at Bishop’s Stortford. I cannot praise you highly enough and look forward to returning in the future.

Came to Bishop’s Stortford and Neil helped me. He was so funny, kind and helpful. I went back the next day to finish my project and he was just as kind. He did make me laugh. At the till I was also assisted by Soz who was lovely too.

Had a wasted journey to my local Wickes to buy a garden item. On the website, it said that the store (Bishop's Stortford) had 20 of these in stock. When I got to the store, no sign of any, so the lady at the till looked it up: yes she said, it shows 20 in stock. She then asked one of the other chaps at the counter, who said, oh, no, we haven't got any of those, (he was confident enough that he didn't go and look). How can a store operate properly with such poor stock control? There is no point in having stock levels available to check on the website, if they are not accurate.
(On the positive side, I have to say that the till lady, was friendly and helpful)

The customer service team also called me several times during the process to make sure everything was going smoothly and staying on track, which was a really nice touch. I also had a direct number for the team whenever I needed anything, and it was great being able to speak to an actual person straight away.
Lastly, my fitter was amazing — professional, friendly, and did a fantastic job.

First time buyer with zero clue on how to renovate bathroom and kitchen. Hassan bent backwards to help me in the most honest way. Endless patience, humble and friendly personality I would go again even if the price was higher.
I saved money I couldn't have saved had it not been for him.
Often is about who you deal with rather than what company.
I would recommend friends to go to Wickes mainly because of Hassan.
Give this man a raise!

The Wickes furniture is well made and should last many years. Why not five stars? Unfortunately, there were several errors in the delivery of furniture and fittings, which almost caused the fitters to lose a day. However, customer care staff did everything possible to keep the work going without interruption, so thanks to them also. But it was stressful.
Incidentally, we used our own fitters, with whom we had been very impressed in the past. Recommended.

I needed help replacing a kitchen sink pipe that had been misthreaded. I asked at the counter if someone could advise between 2 products. So glad I did, because I met Connor (aka employee of the month!) he looked at the products, took my old pipe and with magic hands unscrewed the pipe! Well, I was gobsmacked, having spent a depressing evening spraying it with wd40 and blowing on it with a hairdryer all thanks to you tube. They did miss out on the sale of said pipes although I did buy some plumbing putty. But they gained a loyal customer. Give that guy a promotion or a pay rise. Very cool.

Tried to design and book a kitchen through wickes, had multiple issues throughout the process, delivery for the wrong kitchen was arranged, called 4 times to cancel the delivery due to design delays, they still tried to deliver the wrong kitchen. Called 4 weeks ago to cancel and obtain my 10% deposit back, after calling 9 times to chase, I still don’t have my deposit back due to ‘IT issues’ because of a proof of delivery of a kitchen I never got. Would not recommend in any case, looking forward to when I get my deposit back for a service I did not receive.

Does not even warrant one star. Wickes kitchen doors ordered. 1 st delivery came and was half of the wrong order. The next delivery came only half delivered and 4 doors were broken. The second part came, again 2 doors broken. The third delivery came of 2 doors and one of them was broken. It is a complete disorganized mess. I have lost money on organizing kitchen fitters twice!! I would NEVER ever buy a kitchen from Wickes. I never had one problem at all with Wren Kitchens in the past. The delivery service that Wickes use, DX are atrocious and their customer help service is abysmal. This is not Aintree branch. It is Bishop's Stortford but it won't let me update it!

Big shoutout to Karen in the Bishop’s Stortford store. I couldn’t find the items I was looking for and Karen quickly offered her help. She checked that the items were in stock but not on display but said that, due to a recent delivery, it may be difficult to access them in the warehouse. She checked where they were and then arranged for a colleague to get them off high shelving with the forklift. She then went through a large box of assorted products and found the items for me. And all with a cheerful, can do attitude throughout. Thank you Karen!

Having decided to replace our bath with a shower we went to Wickes Bishops Stortford to look at possibilities.
Having tracked down the "bathroom consultant" he began to behave rather like a pound shop Basil Fawlty. Rudeness, dismissive and rambling on about "if we crack one of your tiles....."??? Having made it clear he didn't feel like doing us the favour of discussing the issue we left!
If a company does not wish to undertake a job - it is entirely acceptable.
Rudeness, bad attitude and talking nonsense are not.
Wickes marketing budget on TV adds is wasted whilst some staff have customer service skills rooted in the 1960s!
When we do want a new bathroom, kitchen or DIY supplies.......It certainly won't be from Wickes.
Dreadful experience!

Disgraceful. Placed an order online. Was told it'll be delivered between 7am - 7pm.
Waited at home all day, and rescheduled my entire day to be at home.
Got a text the day before delivery to confirm delivery and that driver will contact when enroute.
No calls.
No communication whatsoever.
No delivery.
I waited beyond the time. Still nothing.
I logged into my order online and it said to contact customer services.
So, having already spent time and money with Wickes, they have failed to deliver or communicate why they failed at a simple task of a delivery that I paid for, their expectation is to put the pressure on the customer (me) to contact them.
After going through all the options of pressing many '2's no luck and I keep trying.
Nobody picks up from the store and nobody picks up from the delivery team.
I've spoken to their customer services and they can't get through to their BS branch.

We visited the Bishops Stortford branch of Wickes to purchase a new tap for the kitchen. Due to it leaking and keeping me awake all night. Much to my surprise a very kind gentleman called Tyler, listened to my problem and carefully looked at the tap I brought in and suggested he could identify the defected part and advised me the most cost effective way to repair it. After a few minutes he had removed part of the tap that needed replacing, which I purchased at a cost of £6, as opposed to a new tap which was £100.
So thank you Tyler and well done for providing an excellent level of customer service. Kind regards Lynne Walker
