Needed a basin waste urgently. No hassle at Bristol, just went straight in, picked off the shelf what I needed & went to till. Cashier served me quickly & efficiently. Always recommend Wickes Bristol.

We recently had a full kitchen installed through Wickes Longwell Green (Bristol), and the entire process was frustrating, unprofessional, and not what we expected for the price we paid.
After the initial planning phase, things quickly fell apart. Once the project was signed off, the designer became unresponsive and unhelpful, making it very difficult to get support when issues came up.
The installation, which was supposed to take a few weeks, ended up dragging on for three months. The “specialist contractor” was rude, repeatedly demanded money mid-project, and delivered very poor workmanship, with multiple problems that needed correcting.
We also encountered serious issues with Wickes' refusal to accept responsibility for over-measurements — despite the fact that they measured the kitchen themselves. We were left with a 3-meter length of unused worktop, and they initially refused to offer a refund. It took three months and countless emails to get it resolved.
There was no proper project management, and customer service was patchy at best. While a few individuals did try to help, there was no consistent communication or ownership.
For a company of this size, the service we received was unacceptable. I would strongly advise others to think twice before using Wickes Longwell Green for any kitchen installation — especially if you expect professionalism, accountability, or aftercare.

Nathan was very helpful. An asset to the company! My toilet brush handle had snapped in my toilet and his knowledge on toilets was superb! Will definitely return again.

Best store I’ve been too, very helpful staff and the managed actually knew what he was talking about. Most stores don’t have that!!

My toilet decided to stop flushing at the wrong moment 😭. I knew what I needed so thought let’s go to Wickes and wow the service I received was nothing short of A1 standard from the off. I needed to make sure I needed the correct product so I asked a member of staff (I believe his name was Martin) and he got help from someone who pointed me in the right direction. I can happily say my toilet won’t be facing such hard ache for some time. Brilliant

Awful company to work with. We got a small simple bathroom designed by them to be fitted by one of their recommended contractors. The contractor was great. However, Wickes got the design wrong, didn't respond to emails, didn't send all the parts, I had to chase them about 4-5 things to get anything done including: arranging initial delivery, arranging for delivery of the parts missed off, arranging for replacement of parts they got wrong in the design, arranging for replacement of parts that were broken on delivery, arrangement of pick up of waste when the job was complete. In short, once they had our money they simply didn't care/stopped responding.

What a disgrace! We had a bathroom installed in February and have been trying for the last three months to resolve a payment issue which is Wickes fault. Every time we make contact we are lied to and fobbed off about the progress and resolution of this. On top of this we have now discovered there is a fault with the shower waste pipe and it has been leaking under our laminate vinyl tile floor for months. This has not only damaged the bathroom floor but the floor in the adjoining room as well. Wickes have made no effort to respond to our daily emails to get the damaged assessed or discuss a time line for repair of the damage. There is no contact number for the warranty team, so you can only email them or call the customer service centre who fob you off with a we can't help you, this needs to go to the warranty team. On top of this the bathroom installer has come to see the damage and has now left us with a bigger mess, we can no longer use the washing machine or take a shower! We have been lied to throughout the whole process, do not trust this company, the minute something goes wrong they ignore you!

Most rude & ignorant young man served us later this afternoon at the Longwell Green Bristol branch. We are trade customers, ordered a click & collect online & went to the store to pick up. No one at the click & collect till just one person stood with no one to serve & no one queuing at his till so we approached him saying we had a click & collect order. To say he moved across to the till begrudgingly was an understatement ‘name’ when we said our company name, he said ‘name’ again & we stated it was a company name & then my name. He then said ‘nothing on here’ we then repeated our surname & he asked us to spell it which we did. He then rudely said ‘ do you have a problem?! ‘ to which we said no, he asked for the collection PIN number, which we gave him & then he stormed off to an area behind the till & came out seconds later dragging a trolley (with our goods on it) left it in the middle of the walkway, ignoring us, not saying a word & proceeded to go back to the original til he was standing at when we arrived & shouted to people who were now queuing behind us to come over. Ignorant, rude, poor customer service & disgusting way to treat a customer & one with an account who’s spent a significant amount of money with Wickes not just recently but over many years. Not impressed at all!

I visited the Longwell Green store today and was interested in buying some Trellis. The only problem was none of the Trellis had prices on them. I also wanted some compost again only 2 types had prices on them. In fact I would say that only half the items in the store have prices on them. As there was only one person on the till it was impossible to find out as other customers were being served. Wickes must waste thousands from customers who give up and go somewhere else or assistants repeatedly looking up price queries incredibly inefficient and very frustrating.

It's been a complete shambles from Wickes. (I ordered from Longwell Green Bristol). I like to try and give the benefit of the doubt, but countless things start to mount up and they don’t get resolved.
We are now in our 8th week since the start of the install and our kitchen is not complete. Eight weeks and counting!
We would not use Wickes again, and would urge you to carefully consider whether you let them take on your renovation projects for you.
Firstly, we were mis-sold a discontinued larder that is on display in the showroom. At the point of paying the deposit, we were reassured that we could have a unit as per the one in store, then it only came to light it was never available half way through our installation, when it was too late to change the design.
A kitchen install is always going to be disruptive, but we were left without a useable sink and water supply in the kitchen for 5 weeks.
There is absolutely no urgency to get any of the work complete or get any of the waste/rubbish collected (we were left with all the old kitchen rubbish and some of the construction waste in our front garden for 7 weeks). There is more in our back garden which remains uncollected.
Some of the workmanship is poor: the tiling and mastic workmanship is substandard - I could do better myself.
Throughout and to date, there has been minimal co-ordination between anyone (store, approved installer and customer centre) to try and sort out missing items or issues with the kitchen install. It feels like the onus is on the customer to sort, but the whole point of going with Wickes and using one of their approved suppliers is so you don't have to self manage.
I have had to visit store twice to try and resolve matters, tried to speak with the store manager and asked to escalate a mounting range of problems with their customer experience centre manager, but all my attempts to escalate are denied, yet nothing is resolved by the people I speak to. It has got to the point where I have had to make a formal complaint.
Given the amount of money spent, it has become a pretty awful experience.
We had similar quotes/designs between Wren (who were slightly cheaper) and Wickes - and are now wondering whether choosing Wickes was the right decision…
(Just for context, I left 10/10 reviews for other traders who’ve worked on my house (full window replacement and central heating installers both of which costs significant sums of money), so I know the difference between good customer service and the shambles that Wickes are.
