Wayne, the bathroom specialist gave us excellent advice and attention throughout the process, from visiting the house to several in store meetings. He was patient, understanding of our requirements and courteous throughout.

Arrived early, no other customers. Design consultant was able to start our appointment early. I was wanting to have a design for budgeting purposes ‘off plan’, and was advised by the consultant that this could not be done.
She went through the 2 different kitchen ranges ‘Lifestyle’ and ‘Bespoke’, and demonstrates that the ‘Lifestyle’ range was predominantly for landlords and shook a drawer from side to side to show me the poor quality I would be buying.

She showed us around the showroom pointing out different handles that were no longer available.

When we asked about why we could not have a design ‘off plan’ she said it was due to GDPR rules and if she did a design today it would be deleted after a month.

Your direct competitors Wren and B&Q are able to do a design off plan.

The consultant seemed apathetic to our interest in a kitchen from Wickes and not very helpful at all. I was very disappointed as had used Wickes in my previous home for a kitchen and was very happy with the service.

Wickes will not be getting my business on this occasion.

Wayne was absolutely amazing so helpful made us feel so comfortable and helped us with everything we need to know would definitely use wickes again simply for the fact that Wayne was so nice and helpful definitely recommend

We visited the Ipswich Road office and got chatting to designer, Eliza Stoward.
She was excellent, very patient as it wasn’t an easy design, but she found a way to make everything we wanted, fit!

The in store service and help was really great. Eliza was so lovely and super helpful when we first went in and has been very accomodating throughout!

Can't wait for our kitchen to arrive.

Visited Wickes Newport Road Cardiff store. Daniel Singh very helpful, pleasant & assisted us with our purchase of a kitchen sink.

Anna is always the main point of contact in the mornings always chatty and happy to help, a lot of builders merchants are unfriendly

Every time I use wickes on Newport Rd I’m always greeted with a smile from Anna. She is always more than happy to help. Great product knowledge and always keeps me up to date on trade offers. It’s a shame all staff aren’t this helpful.

Jamie the friendliest fella at this store. Great asset to Newport Rd Wickes. Store is mostly well stocked when I attend - which is fairly often.

Wayne at Wicks Cardiff was fantastic! He came to measure my kitchen, created a 3D visual model, and gave brilliant ideas to make the space more functional. Extremely professional from start to finish, and my first-time kitchen-buying experience couldn’t have been smoother. Highly recommend!

Dealt with Eliza Stoward of Wickes Cardiff branch regarding installation of a new kitchen. From point of contact she had been outstanding... very friendly, knowledgeable and works to get the best outcome for you.. very very easy to work with. The entire design element of the work has been excellent - I cannot praise her enough. Installation yet to happen so will add a further review on that in the future

My bathroom was ordered July 2025 to be fitted on 8th December 2025 by Wickes installers. The bathroom was to be delivered the week before installation, the tiles arrived smashed, then bit were delivered in dribs and drabs. The Friday before installation we had still not received everything ordered and the tiles still not replaced. The installer could not proceed due to all the missing items. Wickes are unable to fit the bathroom until April 2026. I requested the installation fee returned to enable me to find someone to install the bathroom which they did minus a discount amount of approx £800 because I am not using their installers. This is so unfair I still do not have the bathroom fitted and I am still waiting 1 item if the order.

We had a horrendous experience with Wickes using their allocated fitter. Although the kitchen was fitted quickly, we were left without a cutlery drawer and unable to fully open our fridge for four months. This initially arose due to multiple design issues but was not rectified due to really awful customer service.

The fitter wickes assigned to us was also terrible - he was incredibly rude, blaming us for the issues with the kitchen and refusing to come back to resolve the issues. He also signed a completion form on our behalf without our consent, lying about whether we agreed to this being signed off. He would text late at night on a Friday asking for large payments that day with no notice and would become angry and hostile if we weren't able to comply with his last minute requests. He also did not provide us with any paperwork for the work done and we only received the gas and electrical safety certificate after 4 months.

It took constant emails and phone calls for 4 months to get the issues resolved. We had to fight very hard to get the kitchen finished and still have not had satisfactory apology or recognition of the terrible service we have received. We will never be using Wickes again and would strongly discourage anyone else from doing so.

Went to the store this evening close to closing and was met with very helpful staff who were polite and informative, especially Kimberley the Store Manager. Thank you so much Kimberley you deserve a raise !!!
