Just been into Wickes Edinburgh (close to Murrayfield). The store manager & staff are absolutely brilliant, very, very helpful, knowledgeable and willing to spend time helping you solve your issue and providing advice. For a non DIY person this is exactly the sort of help i require. Thank you.

Just ordered kiln dried sand from wickes this morning using click and collect. Great experience- items available and once authorisation code accepted the sand was taken out to my car and loaded in by Bob. Great service. Thanks Bob for your great customer service.

I am trying to complete a renovation to a property so I came in looking for attention and I received it from one of your employees, I think that her name is Vicky. She was a great help but she called her boss over when she wasn’t sure. She introduced him as Morton and he went over everything that I would need to do

Wickes had everything I needed as always. The staff are polite and very helpful. I would highly recommend this store. “Stevenson Road” it took me about 10 minutes tops to get everything I wanted with help from the staff.
10/10

We’re quite new to Edinburgh and recently bought a house where we plan to install new flooring. As we have no prior experience with this kind of project, we only had a rough idea of what we wanted — tile for the kitchen and bathroom, and laminate flooring for the rest of the house. We visited Wickes with a list of questions, and the manager, Morton, was incredibly helpful. He patiently explained each step of the flooring process, including how to choose the right materials (such as the ideal thickness for water resistance and types of underlay), what Wickes has available ... etc His advice was very practical, and we left feeling much more confident about how to move forward with our project using Wickes' support.

ENDED UP BEING MUCH PRICIER THAN ORIGINALLY ADVISED.
In store service from kitchen designers was great, they accommodated our requests and guided us through the different options available.
However, pricing was tricky. We were offered an installation price for the kitchen and then an additional guide price for specialist works. We were aware that this was a guide and it might increase. When the fitter came to our home to inspect the kitchen we were offered a revised quote, higher than the original, but within expectations. We hoped this quote would be closer to reality since they had inspected the kitchen, but prices ended up spiralling out of control (three times the original amount for specialist works!) due to items like relocation of electrics and cutting of porcelain tiles, which were counted as (a very pricey) extra but that we would have expected to be included as part of standard kitchen works, or at least not so expensive. Also we feel Wickes didn't inform us clearly that their initial price included only small ceramic tiles, and anything departing from this was extra. At this point we had no other choice than to continue the works and accept whatever invoices came our way.
To sum up, kitchen looks fine but experience was disappointing due to the much higher than anticipated costs. It would have been appreciated if Wickes had made us aware since the beginning of the potential hidden extras and clearly state items not included in their initial pricing.

We were looking for a new kitchen and had Paula helping us with the process. From start to finish I can’t fault the service. Paula listened to our ideas and made helpful suggestions to make the design work. She provided two detailed quotes and gave lots of options. Paula was friendly, helpful and professional. Very happy.

Absolutely appalling service yesterday from the manager Morton, or possibly Moron, how to hack off a customer who was planning to buy a Chester Kitchen . Rude, obnoxious, unapologetic and frankly not fit to do the job!!!!

Ordered 10 bags of builder's sand on 17 May. Delivery was due on 21 May. I was out of the house for around 30 mins and that is when they said they tried to deliver it! There was no card left to say anyone had been to the house. I waited and waited, still expecting it to turn up and then when checking emails later I saw a 'delivery failure' message. When I checked tracking it said attempted delivery at 17.24 but also delivered back to depot at 17.24. Customer service takes forever and so I've now sent 3 emails trying to get a new delivery date! 26 May and still no date for delivery - meanwhile I can't finish the job I started. Really poor service and will not buy from Wickes again.

Purchased a bathroom in store back in March, great in store experience with really helpful advice on the design, delivery was great and well communicated….however waited over 3 weeks for installer to come out to assess any other work required and cost involved (although don’t believe he did the correct checks) Install was suppose to start last week (completed next week) however installer was a no show after 11 calls & a chat via twitter Wickes have no update or idea what’s going on and tomorrow would be day 5 of install

Absolutely shocking customer service. We recently bought a new kitchen. The man that came to measure was great and seemed really good. Flash forward to the kitchen being delivered and it all went down hill. After measuring everything, the pipes hadn't even been put onto the plan, resulting in an urgent plumber to be called out and an extra £600 bill. The cabinets are shocking quality, IKEA could have done better. Have now been on hold to customer service regarding a missing cooker hood, only to be told to phone the store. Phoned the store only to be told to phone customer services. Absolute joke of a company.

Have a very small kitchen and struggling to get a fitter. Wickes are happy to do the fitting but have said its not worth their while doing it unless white goods (which aren't required)are purchased from them as well!
They could also make it a bit clearer on their website that fitting only applies to their 'bespoke' kitchens which provide a limited range.

I popped into Wickes Edinburgh today with my wife to get some ideas on a new kitchen. I had a few things in mind but nothing concrete and got chatting to the manager Simon.
I explained I was merely looking for some kitchen ideas and had popped in on the passing as I actually stay in Hamilton.
Despite this, he spent the best part of an hour chatting with us. He provided some excellent advice( some of which saved money) confirming some of my thoughts and changing my opinion on many other things.
By the time we had left we were almost certain of the kitchen we will choose and it will be from Wickes.
I found Simon to be very open and honest and he had an excellent knowledge about the products.
I would highly recommend anyone that is thinking of buying a kitchen or looking for advice to pop in to Wickes.
