The staff are so helpful, particularly Martin who not only carried my flooring to the till he then waited to carry it to my car. I couldn’t have wished for better service.

Used Wickes many times for a house renovation. The Huddersfield store has a great product selection and really helpful staff.

Had an appointment with Joe Ragena for a kitchen quote. Wasn't sure exactly what we wanted and Joe showed us what the kitchen would look like with various options. He was helpful and informative.

After deciding to upgrade our kitchen, and the due necessary research, along with favourable reviews from friends and family experiences, we commissioned a Wickes Integra kitchen.
Joe at Huddersfield - helpful, amenable and knowledgeable. - Actually cannot fault the guy.
The challenges started on commencement of the project, or the lack of proper project management, or understanding of our needs as a customer.
Little consideration was given to how the logistics of having everything for a 15m2 kitchen (or half of a ground floor of a modest semi-detached) would work, the en-mass delivery of every item resulted in everything being excessively moved around all the time by the fitters. Which did result in time wasted, items being damaged during the process. This put the fitters under further pressure in trying to achieve the schedule which was allocated to them by Wickes, or the project scope / funding etc.
I think our fitter (who I will remain nameless as we had a contract with Wickes not him), felt the pressure and the performance of installation and delegation to under skilled team members resulted in more issues, with damage to product.
At no point during the fitting did we know who the project manager was from Wickes. My partner was working from home (2/3 days a week) so if any such individual did visit our house we were not aware. Thus any quality assurance and accountability were very minimal.
On the day which the bulk of the install was finishing we got an email from Wickes talking about the start of the installation, over a month after the delivery of all the items.
The mess during the installation was beyond belief, I found a comment by Paul - store manager at Huddersfield about their Proud to fit ethos a little bit rich when it took me over 4 hours to clean the mess of saw swarf from under our car port, and was also caped up the exterior walls. The hippo waste bags were overflowing by the end, which resulted in waste all over the front garden.
We are now three and half months in to back and forth with the post installation customer services, which has been painful. Lack of ownership, respect and proper communication has been appalling - over a week to response to some emails. When we tackled the store, they were disappointed as they believed the job was closed off and unaware of this, trying to get any accountable progress was challenging. With the only route being remote email and calls, this has been a low point in the whole process.
As we have rectification work now needed because of the rectification work, which has also picked up original workmanship issues along the way, our level of trust and satisfaction in what should be a highlight of our home, has been marred.
A conversation with Paul at Huddersfield also identified further non-compliance issues, which were also highlighted by Neff.
Please note, I am aware of customers who have excellent completed kitchen projects with glowing reports, which makes me think it is luck of the draw. You are at the mercy of which fitted is allocated, and whether you property works with Wickes one size fits all approach. Equally whether the centralised team are even on top of the installs, the local store knew more and were keen to progress things. Perhaps because they had a meaningful relationship with customers.

We had a good experience from when we visited the store and saw what style bathroom we wanted. Chloe talked to us and then came to our house to measure up and take all the details of what we needed. She then presented the layout/visual of our proposed bathroom which was very good. Since then we have been back to make some small alterations after studying closely the layout.

I entered the Huddersfield shop and was met by a man. I asked him where draught excluder was and he took me to show. I would never have found it with out his help. I think his name was Martin

Failed to deliver a critical component of my design. Numerous failures to call me back after promising to do so. Failed to reorder missing items. In the end I had to source tiles from another supplier. No contact regarding a refund. And to make matters worse, two weeks after the job was completed problems with the installation have already started to appear.

I feel really let down by Wickes and want to share my experience so others can be aware before buying one of their kitchens. We spent a lot of money expecting a quality product, but the reality has been very disappointing.
Not long after installation, the kitchen doors started bubbling and deteriorating, which clearly points to poor materials or manufacturing. When we contacted Wickes to get this sorted under their warranty, they refused to take responsibility and wouldn’t honour their guarantee.
For a company that promotes itself as offering “quality kitchens,” their customer service and aftercare have been appalling. The warranty doesn’t seem to mean anything, and we’ve been left with an expensive kitchen that looks terrible.
I’d strongly advise anyone thinking about getting a Wickes kitchen to think twice — poor quality and no support when things go wrong.

I have tried to buy a kitchen from Wickes. Been into the store and had an appointment with the sales advisor. As I didn’t yet own the property (the sale was going through) they wouldn’t come out and measure or give me a quote. They promised to be there as soon as I had the keys. I’ve had them 6 weeks now. I emailed my contact and I called the shop twice. I’ve even been in again to try and get someone’s attention but only 1 person there and he was busy. Very frustrating and disappointing. I’ve got a lovely kitchen from Magnet and the sales person sorted it straight away.

Your excellent member of staff Kasey helped me select some straight lengths of timber for my DIY project. Super helpful and a credit to the store. Much obliged.

Fiona the designer has been friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful in these early stages of the work. She's also been very patient and nothing has been too much trouble. Looking forward to updating with a successful installation in due course!

Went to Huddersfield Wickes to view kitchens, had the pleasure of dealing with Fiona. She was extremely knowledgeable, patient and explained everything extremely well. She planned out the kitchen making most of the space available, clearly knows her job and the kitchens inside out.
Very easy and simple process! If you need a kitchen... go see Fiona.

We visited the Huddersfield store today looking for plastic edging, initially we asked a member of staff who instantly replied no as we had used the words ‘acoustic panelling’. We showed the website states there are 15 in stock. She then pointed towards a specific direction and said you will find them there. After 3 trips in that direction and no luck finding them we went to a different member of staff called Kelsey. This young lady was exceptional and very professional, Kelsey showed us exactly where the product was and also assisted us with the choice of colour palette for the paints with some very helpful ideas. Thanks to Kelsey Wickes didn’t loose a £64 sale otherwise we were about to walk out.

Joe Ragona (Huddersfield store) was our design consultant.
I cannot praise this man highly enough. From beginning to end he has been an absolute star. Joe listened to what we wanted, gave good, solid advice and we have got an amazing kitchen design as a result!
The kitchen we have ordered will look so good once fitted and this is really down to Joe. We trusted him completely and he came up trumps!
Joe didn't have an easy job as I am blind. He really did take this into consideration every time we met.
Thanks Joe. You are great at your job.
Wickes, hold onto him with both hands, he really is a top bloke who is excellent at his job!

Keep removing my Avios points, why do you keep taking away my Avios points? Will not be shopping with you again
It’s nothing to do with Avios it’s Wickes who are removing the points

The bathroom I have recently had installed is excellent and I was really pleased with the whole service from the initial design appointment through to installation. Everything was completed on time and to a high standard.
