Wickes - Leeds Roundhay Reviews 

Went to Wicks yesterday Roundhay Road-Leeds to pick up a 6x6 fence panel. What a pleasure it was. Can not fault all the staff especially Jon on the fork truck. Jon showed me where they were help me pick and put on troller. Michelle on the counter ever so help full. And got help putting in the van. Will defo be going back again.

Joe the scouser who works in Leeds Wickes went above and beyond with his customer service during my visit to purchase some fence posts and caps, literally outstanding, friendly and couldn’t do enough to help.

I appreciated the Manager offering me staff assistance to put 50lt bag of compost in my car & the help of a very pleasant young man called Advil who actually provided that help effortlessly.

Wickes store in Leeds have always been great but in particularly today, helping me with very heavy compost bags to my car. Cannot ask for more, really lovely customer service.

We attended the Oakwood branch this morning, with very little experience in DIY.

Darren kindly helped us and gave us advice. He was kind and patience, without lack of knowledge.

I needed to have a kitchen and two bathrooms renovated. I received quotations from several suppliers before deciding to go with Wicks (in Leeds Roundhay). Wicks was not the cheapest option but I did not want a case of penny wise, pound foolish. With the benefit of hindsight, partnering with Wicks was one of the best home renovation decisions I have made.

The Wicks team was extremely helpful, efficient and reliable. The store manager took the time to show me the different kitchens and bathrooms on display before introducing me to one of his designers, James Duffy.

James produced designs for my kitchen and bathroom which addressed my specifications (and budget) perfectly. He arrived at my property to do measurements on time and provided thoughtful and creative suggestions to ensure that my projects were a success. I was impressed by James’ enthusiasm, attention to detail and reliability.

James arranged for GK Property Solutions to install my kitchen and bathrooms. James was adamant that contractor (Gabi) was good. My expectations were exceeded. One kitchen and two bathrooms were installed on schedule, according to the design plan and with regular updates from Gabi whom I left with the keys to my house while the project was underway.

Major renovations can be daunting. James and Gabi made the process seamless and enjoyable. All I had to do was inspect the progress made each day when I returned home from work. Rather than breathing a sigh of relief, I was actually disappointed when the project was done. Luckily, I can take consolation in my new kitchen and bathrooms.

We had more than a positive experience with Wicks. James from the Roundhay store in Leeds went above and beyond in catering for our needs. From attending our newly purchased property to creating the kitchen of our dreams, James continued to be very patient, proving ideas of what was realistic and more importantly constantly advised of costs / suggestions as to how to keep costs down throughout the process. James was incredibly professional, quick with his work yet very detailed. His service alone made the process easy, and dare I say fun. If anyone would be looking for a kitchen there are not enough words to suggest popping a visit to the Roundhay store & visiting James.

A big thank you to Simon, at the Roundhay Road store, for designing our kitchen. From the initial home consultation to the finished design, Simon listened and understood what we wanted from our kitchen, and produced a perfect design for us. He was informative and made the process easy. Great 0% finance deal, making our new kitchen affordable. Looking forward to the installation in the New Year.

We have used Wickes twice now for a kitchen and a bathroom. Both times they have been amazing but especially with the bathroom. James Duffy from the roundhay branch absolutely pulled out all the stops to make sure everything went smoothly. He juggled appointments to suit us, he liaised with the fitters, he gave us many options, not always the most expensive. Can’t fault him, he should get a pay rise!

We had our bathroom designed by James from Wickes Leeds who went above and beyond in trying to understand what we wanted for our bathroom. My partner and I were struggling to reconcile and visualise each others ideas, but James was really patient with us and was with us every step of the way. His frankness with us about what would and wouldn't work really helped and now looking forward to having a bathroom we both like! We've now got an installer in place, and James is still supporting us by discussing the different options for any problems that were identified. Thank you James!

James at the Roundhay Road, Leeds branch was brilliant. I didn't need a whole bathroom suite. I just needed a walk in bath and comfort high toilet.
James advised what I needed (regarding size), and what were the best options.
I purchased the recommendation last month and it is now installed and looking great.
James was professional, polite and friendly with a 'can do' attitude. A lovely guy, who always has time for you. He's a credit to your store and showed the right customer focus that all stores should take note on.

We are taking this opportunity to thank James the kitchen designer for putting time and effort in designing our kitchen. We are really pleased to the end outcome.
He really went above and beyond in all aspects and even in all little thing that for some can be annoying, but not for him.

Had a good experience with James the kitchen designer at the Leeds store but things took a downward turn when fitting began 18th March. Work was delayed on several occasions because of damages on the doors - on one occasion even the replacement door was damaged on arrival! After 4+ weeks, work was finally "finished" on 16th April. There were two outstanding items- a door trim and electrical fault on undercupboard lights. These were corrected but on Jake's visit to fit the floor door trim a chip on the freezer door was pointed out to him. A new door was ordered and a couple of weeks later Jake sent his assistant to fit it. After fitting the new one and opening the fridge door above, the freezer door chipped again. Said Jake would order a new door. New door arrived 9th July. Today, one month later this still sits in our garage awaiting fitting. I honestly believe the fitter does not know how to correct this problem. After contacting Wickes customer complaints on 18th July, was told I would hear from them within 72 hours. 20 days later I'm still waiting?? Once they have your money they are not interested.

After numerous issues with my kitchen I was offered £200 compensation by Caroline in the customer experience department, that was on 28th March, Still not received this after chasing several times and been told they’re dealing with it. Stay away from this company, I have everything in emails thankfully, I will be contacting citizens advice now…

Thanks for asking for more information today but you did that with my last review and guess what no one replied! Bit of a standard response to make ppl think you’re responsive to customer complaints!

I visited Wickes in Roundhay to buy a new kitchen. The store was clean and easy to navigate. The member of staff I spoke to, Leon, was friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and patient. He listened to what I wanted and suggested and explained best options. It was a very quick process, taking around 30 minutes to choose and order everything including fitted appliances.
The only issue I have is that the kitchen is arriving in numerous deliveries rather than altogether which is not very convenient.
