double amount of material was sugested

I did the project in the store but decided to buy just the tiles. I dont know which kind of maths the guy did but in the project I was told one amount of tiles and it was used just half! The refurbishment took a while and its over 30 days, now I cant return the tiles left, its taking space and just wasted money. Staff is not very helpful at store, I was struggling to find some material and no one was able to help me, the answer was: we are short staff you have to find yourself.

We had a kichen and bathroom installed…

We had a kichen and bathroom installed by Wicks in Newbury the end of 2025, the showroom designer was excellent, the installation of both the kitchen and bathroom we are very happy with, but the customer services is terrible, the lack of communication started at the delivery of the bathroom appliances, half of it didn't arrive on time and I was left to chase it for the installer, to the point i had to go and purchase some of it myself and chase a refund from Wicks. No there is a problem with the bathroom i contacted customer services over two weeks ago, and have very little positive response, only them requesting pictures and a video, which i sent straight away, i have chased them via phone and email and still nothing, to the point I'm now finding my own plumer to resolve a two week leak, before it continues to cost me money in water, and water damage. Customer service with Wicks is non existent in my experience.

Refused refund

Wickes refused a return a couple of days outside 30 days for an unusable product. Due to appalling weather the brick layer was constantly rained off and couldn’t use the edging due to wrong size. Be warned if you buy building materials that are unsuitable for professional they will not refund. Avoid wickes Newbury

Awful communication

Appointment moved with no communication, phoned to discuss and the response was really poor.
I'll be purchasing my 2 bathrooms from elsewhere

Wickes after sales service - broken shower

We had a shower room fitted by Wickes and after 10 months a crack appeared in the shower tray. We reported the issue with the wickes customer relations team and three months later we are in the dark as to when the issue will actually be resolved. They are not even responding to my emails. There is no number to phone directly and if we do manage to speak to someone we are told that all we can do is send an email. We are in limbo as a family of four without any other shower in the house.

I bought 10 fence panels 19th. June.

I bought 10 fence panels. 2 arrived from Reading, and was told the other 8 were at Newbury. Had no idea it was a separate delivery. They finally arrived 7.30 that day. 1 was DAMAGED and arrange for collection on 28th June , collected it, and was told several times at Newbury it's on the van.
Waited all night, Sunday morning called Newbury and was told delivery completed! So where is my missing panel, I now have to wait 24 hours to get my replacement sent. Someone has lied.
Words fail me as to the way I have been treated I spent over £300 and am very upset.

Professional service from Wickes and Red Dragon

Professional service from wickes and the red dragon team. Amazing response time to messages. Fitter were on time, worked hard and left the kitchen clean and tidy each day. Project completed with the time given.

Wickes Community Programme, excellent service from Newbury branch

I applied for the Wickes Community Programme for some path repair material for the Social Club where I volunteer. We have limited funds & needed to repair some sections of the pathway around the building as a drain pipe had become exposed & the cracks & surface wear had become hazardous to those using it. After our project was accepted by Wickes, the next step was to contact my local Branch Manager which was Harvey at Newbury, Harvey couldn't have been more helpful as were all the staff at the Newbury branch when I called in. I was offered sufficient material to complete the task & our Social Club are very grateful for the support given by Wickes.

I've been a loyal customer of wickes since it opened in 2016,and I continue to be impressed.
Their extensive stock means I can always find what I need and the staff truly excel at customer service.
They go above and beyond to ensure I have a positive experience.
I especially appreciate Sandra,my go-to person in the early mornings.
Whether I'm picking up click and collect order or need paint mixed,she's is always ready to help me with a smile.

Ryan won't open another till

Lunchtime rush is on, nice long queue of customers waiting to pay with only one till open and plenty of other staff milling about.

I asked "Ryan" on the till if he could open another till.."I could do yeah" he said.
"But you won't?" I asked
"No".

So we all wait in line and Wickes Newbury live up to their diabolical reputation for service.

We have just had the team from Red…

We have just had the team from Red Dragon Home Improvements refit our bathroom on behalf of Wickes. They are just literally finishing the sink. I cannot recommend them enough.

Since Simon visited for the initial survey through to their amazing two man team in our home, everything has been perfect.

And their two man team has been exemplary from start to finish. If they weren't actually refitting a bathroom you wouldn't know they were here. We couldn't ask for more. Polite in every discussion. Asking the right questions when they needed our thoughts on things. Even discussed the bath being 1CM out one side than the other.

And beyond they workmanship, they kept our dogs safe by asking when they needed to get to the garage. They parked in our street perfectly. They kept the house spotless throughout.

Everything has been spot on. You can see everything they have done [because I looked in the evening being a curious none DIYer] has been top quality.

If you choose Wickes in Newbury then ensure you also get Red Dragon to do the job. Brilliant stuff and many thanks to Simon and the team who have been in our home. We are now so pleased we chose Wickes above anybody else. Quality Quality Quality.

Bathroom Installation. From start to finish on the bathroom…

From start to finish the bathroom installation went smoothly. Andrei the installer kept us informed all the way through the whole experience. Well done Andrei excellent.
Wickes designer and customer services kept us informed of delivery dates and installation schedule well done.

Red Dragon Remedial and Corrective Team for Wickes

My 5 Star review is for Simon and all his team at Red Dragon, Remedial and Corrective Team for Wickes. Sadly, the original Wickes Installation team did not do a good job, and I endured a year of shower leaks, which the original installer could not fix. The Red Dragon Team were eventually implemented, completely removed the original fixtures,fittings and pipework and the whole bathroom done again. My kitchen ceiling had to be replastered and painted due to water damage and this was also done to a high standard by the Red Dragon Plasterer and Decorator. The Red Dragon Team are all very professional in their trades, Installer, Plumber, Electrician, Plasterer and Painter, not 'One size fits all'. They were all very polite and very professional in getting the work done and tidying up afterwards. I would highly recommend the Red Dragon Team.

Always use Newbury branch when I shop…

Always use Newbury branch when I shop at Wickes. Love the click and collect option. Products get picked well not had a damaged one yet, not the case from some other stores. And the staff are always really helpful. Well done Wickes Newbury!
