Wickes - Northampton Riverside Reviews 

Do not go with this company, we are still without a working kitchen for 6 months, their trade men are not to be trusted . Wickes customer service are terrible at getting it sorted ,communication between them keep messing up,the sell man promise that the fitter will be fantastic, it just lies.I chosen painted door because I wanted red,because apparently they are bespoke it has to be fitted by their fitter to keep it under guaranteed!!the units are standard units not bespoke made to measure. So far fitter (who is a electrician by trade)left a broken soil stack which leaked waste into the kitchen every time we have shower or toilet upstair,near open live wires which is hazardous, took them 2 weeks to repair that.Unit damage and uneven before he even done the electricity work and plastering which should have been done first! so no work top and sink with running water and hobs.They already replaced the units that was damage from first fitter,but they still send another terrible fitter,more damage and badly fitted !!The only thing we haven't come across are the worktops fitter because it never happens because of kitchen delays.
It not acceptable and thry are getting away with this.we got 4 adults in this small house and this suppose to be a nice experience but no we are doing all the chasing and emailing in between our working time,feel like we working for customer services. I just loss my Dad last month and really didn't need this.

Popped in today for some building sand and a bag of repair tarmac and was expertly assisted by Lottie who’s customer service was spot on today, she spent the time to show me reviews from her phone on how to make it softer to work with as first impressions you’d think it was too hard to work with.

Wickes Design Consultant visited me at home and was prompt and professional. He understood my design brief exactly and was highly professional. Excellent and reliable service from Wickes.

I went to the Wickes in Northampton Riverside Retail Park. I purchased some compost and was on my way back to the car with my friend who has a disability. Paul, the store manager called out and asked if we needed a hand. We were struggling to get the bags in car and he came over ,put the bags in the car for us. He wished us a good day. Thank you so much Paul for your assistance, you are a credit to Wickes.

We have just had our new kitchen installation completed, purchased from Wickes at Riverside Northampton and installed by Leon’s Renovations. The design created by Jamie Matcham was absolutely fabulous, he gave us everything we wanted plus more, nothing was to much trouble even when we wanted to change part of original design, including additional building work not originally planned. We highly recommend Wickes at Riverside, Northampton, they are a great team of people, led by the extremely helpful store manager Paul.
We will not hesitate to go back and use this store again. Thank you all. G & M

I was served by Anna at the Northampton Riverside store, Anna went above and beyond to help me purchase a new kitchen, she was extremely helpful professional with excellent customer service skills. A totally stress free experience

Came into see Cameron Barton, what an absolute pleasure to come across, very knowledgeable and friendly. Gave me a breakdown an assurance was given especially when it comes to your kitchen. He also stayed behind to go over everything with me. Wickes lucky to have a member of staff like Cameron!

Booking an appointment for a Wickes kitchen designer was very easy with lots of availability on dates and times. My kitchen designer Aaron was lovely and I felt like he quickly understood the kitchen design I was looking for. He took the time to explain the design to me and made any small tweaks requested and I didn't feel like anything was a hassle or too much for him. There was no pushy selling and the quote was broken down in an easy to understand format. Despite it being a small showroom I felt there was a lot of choice of options to view in person.

My hat goes off to Jade and Anna from the Riverside Depot. I was really stuck for a large delivery of Paving Slabs and Sand and Cement which would of had to come from their main depot but wouldn't get it till 10th June but I was hoping to get it Friday or Saturday latest. They suggested that if they split the load into two deliveries they could do it from their depot tomorrow and the two deliveries would also work out cheaper than getting from main depot. What Stars you are. Thank you.

Charlie is a credit to you! I had ordered 24bags of topsoil and 14 sleepers. Im a woman myself certainly not the strongest and I also don't have the biggest car. Charlie helped me load my car and even exchange a split sleeper for me! Couldn't recommend enough. Appreciate all your help!

Went in to local Wickes at Riverside Northampton to purchase a new strimmer . Lottie was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable in helping me choose my purchase

Well 14 weeks in 4 bare walls and no kitchen in sight and I don't know if its even going to be done this year its no fun cooking for a family of 4 on a camping stove washing dishes in a bath shopping every day in the expensive coop as we have no fridge no washing machine me and the wife now arguing not a good service

Excellent customer service, friendly and helpful member of staff (Lottie). Walked in to buy patio sand and we were helped by Lottie who directed us in the store, told us which to buy (didn’t realise there were so many different types of sand), got a trolley for us and even loaded it!

I was a bit annoyed after my first visit to the Northampton Riverside store.
I needed some arris rail & fencing, looked online & they had what I needed.
I only had a small window of opportunity & the store is less than 10 minutes away.
I turned up at the store only to find they had cordoned off the area to restock shelving with a forklift.
I appreciate this has to be done, but this was mid morning on a Saturday on a bank holiday weekend, probably one of their busiest times. I waited for around 20 minutes but as I was short on time I had to abandon.
Shouldn't shelf stacking with the forklift be sorted whilst the store is closed either the evening before or before opening in the morning?
Normally I do find Wickes to be OK, but this experience with a distinct lack of organisation did put me off.
