Wickes - Ruislip Reviews 69

I am writing this to warn others about the appalling service and complete lack of accountability at the Wickes South Ruislip store.
I ordered two wall panels for delivery. Instead of a professional delivery, they were dumped on a public street without any prior time slot or notification. By the time I got downstairs, the items had been taken. When I contacted the store, the response was shocking. I was told, "It’s not our problem," and the staff showed zero empathy or willingness to help.
Because of their negligence, I have suffered a significant financial loss:
1. The full cost of the missing panels.
2. The cost of a professional installer who was booked and waiting at my home for a delivery that was handled with zero care.
I have attempted to resolve this through their social media as requested in their generic Google response, but I am still waiting for a real solution. A "standard apology" is insufficient. I am demanding a full refund or an immediate replacement.
Avoid this branch at all costs. Their delivery guys are irresponsible, and their customer service is non-existent.

Update: Ellisse contacted via email and helped arranging a delivery.
Turns out corporate costumer service is actually responsible and helpful.
This could be the case if the South Ruislip store staff acted more professionally and responsibly. Such actions could easily ruin a brand accountability .

I’m writing this with regards to the Ruislip branch of Wickes and the kitchen designer we had who’s name is Waeil.
When we had Waeil come over to have a look at the possibilities for a new kitchen I got the first impression that we were going to be well looked after and be in trusting hands. I wasn’t wrong, from start to finish we were kept advised of the project and installer, we had regular updates even when Waeil was on holiday he still helped out with questions etc. All to often people are super quick to complain but rarely do they take a few minutes to say how good things have been. We would have no problem in recommendations for Waeil and his above and beyond service to his customers. 10/10 and long may it continue. Thank you! 😊

Lawn dressing was out of stock at Ruislip store on 25 April. Store assistant Shamida, just starting her lunch break, suggested an alternative and then quickly processed my payment at a till and then carried two 25L bags to my car. A most helpful person, who went beyond normal Customer Service expectations. I commend such help from Shamida.

Staff on tills are so rude , maybe a smile and hello and talk to people

They are ment to be the image of the store

We chose Wickes Ruislip to order a new bathroom. The process, starting with a home visit followed by a meeting in-store with our Designer, Michal Asid, was extremely professional and easy.
Michal took us step by step through the whole process, following our brief and giving us suggestions etc.
So far we are impressed by the whole process and the great service.

Brilliant service from Wickes today. The driver called ahead to say he was five minutes away, arrived exactly when he said he would, and happily brought my compost round the back of the building using a wheelbarrow — no heavy lifting for me at all. Friendly, thoughtful, and genuinely helpful. A perfect delivery experience.

Waeil Habil was very knowledgeable about the range of kitchens at Wickes, and was able to solve my immediate requirements around the kitchen delivery.

This is the worst wickes I have ever visited. Staff are rude and unhelpful.

We’ve visited Wickes in Ruislip to get some help designing our kitchen and Michal was a tremendous help with getting us what we needed. Highly recommend visiting this brunch and ask for Michal as he is very knowledgeable and will help you to save time and money.

Every time I have been to Wickes Ruislip it has been a poor experience. There is no clear queuing system for the one or two open tills and the queues are always long and time consuming. Very frustrating if you are just picking up a couple of small items. Today they had no price on blue circle cement (surely a popular product). I was asked to lug a 25kg bag to the till to get a price. Disappointing.

Jazz was very professional and helpful on our initial site survey. We have arranged to visit the Ruislip store to view our en-suite plan. Jazz was very good showing us options in the Wickes brochure and giving us good advice. We hope the quote is competitive. 🤞

I needed to install a bathtub in my bathroom and decided to contract the services of Wickes. From beginning to end, the process was very well organised and they were in constant communication with me regarding the different steps to follow and the dates in which everything was going to happen. I would like to thank Waeil in particular who was the one getting everything in motion very professionally. It felt like having a friend guiding you through the process so all the stress was very much reduced and now I have a very nice bathroom at home. Thank you Wickes! I'll use you again when I need a new kitchen.

Had a consultation with michal. Very helpful and informative. Pleased with the service. We were only replacing one side due to water damage and wickes had the closest match in both style and colour.

Our designer and contact (Ann) at the Ruislip branch was very helpful from the outset on a very bespoke project of ours. Not only did Ann communicate with us throughout (even on her days off), but she understood our brief well, designed it on screen, and provided useful tips and hints for the installation without at any point, being pushy. Thank you for your help, Ann.

I went in to Wickes Ruislip as i needed items for my home renovation i.e Flooring, Tiles & Building Materials. I had asked for assistance when a member of staff was walking past and i shouted for help, turns out this was one of the Operation Managers - Pranil.
I cannot remember the last time i had received such help & advice from shopping anywhere else, (normally everyone tends to avoid customers) his customer service is second to none specially with the Knowledge & skills which i later came across. He explained everything in such detail. I was overly impressed with his professionalism.

I would like to express my sincere appreciation for the excellent service I received during a recent visit to the Wickes store in Ruislip. As someone who frequently works on building and renovation projects, I’ve dealt with many suppliers—but the professionalism and attentiveness I experienced here really stood out.
A special thanks goes to Mikel from the design department, who was incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in offering the right advice. His recommendations were practical and spot-on, and he made me feel completely supported throughout. It’s rare to come across such dedicated service.

This experience has genuinely made me reconsider where I shop for materials—Wickes will now be a serious alternative to B&Q and Howdens for my future projects. Huge thanks again to Mikel, Ruislip.

Great communication and valuable advice
We had a pleasure to deal with Michael who went through design and advice valuable to set up the right realistic and functional/adapted kitchen for us.
