Beautiful kitchen

Our experience with Wickes for our kitchen was amazing from start to finish. When our design consultant Zoe came out to measure up she really listened to what we wanted from our kitchen so when we came into store to see our kitchen plan there wasn't anything to change as she had nailed the vision we had! No question was too big or too small and the whole process was so easy for us. When the kitchen was ordered, we soon heard from our installer James at Piervale. James came out to do the pre-install survey with his colleague Steve who were both very professional and easy to talk to. After 4 weeks we were ready for the install which James and Steve got finished in just 2 and a half days! We are so happy with our finished kitchen and couldn't recommend Wickes enough for a solid and beautiful kitchen.

Buyer be ware, bad reviews are removed.

I am extremely disappointed with my experience of a bathroom installation purchased through Wickes.

The installation was eventually completed in October 2025, but only after four separate installation attempts due to repeated workmanship issues. Within approximately two months of the final installation, defects became apparent in the shower enclosure, including movement of the wall panels, separation at the panel joint, failure of the silicone sealant and movement within the shower tray.

These issues were reported to Wickes in January 2026. An inspection arranged by Wickes in April 2026 recorded that the panel joint had opened by approximately 1–1.5mm, that the joint trim was protruding by 2–3mm and that sealant was failing. Despite this, the proposed solution was simply to reseal and colour-fill the affected areas without identifying the underlying cause.

I subsequently contacted the panel manufacturer directly. Their technical team reviewed photographs and information relating to the installation and stated that the issues suggested the panels had not been fitted correctly, citing concerns regarding insufficient adhesive and sealant application.

Despite this independent assessment, Wickes have continued to maintain that the installation meets the required standard and have declined to accept responsibility for the underlying cause of the defects.

My concern is not simply that a gap appeared, but that a bathroom installation which initially appeared acceptable developed significant movement and sealant failure within a matter of weeks. To date, no satisfactory explanation has been provided as to why this occurred.

After four installation attempts and many months of correspondence, inspections and complaints, I remain disappointed by both the quality of the workmanship and the handling of the complaint.

Based on my experience, I would be cautious about using Wickes for a bathroom installation project.

Over the moon with our new bespoke kitchen! The finish, quality and colour are all spot on. The tiles look amazing too. All the trades men involved with the fit, electrician, plumber, tiler, and kitchen fitter, worked to a high standard.

Kitchen planning appointment

Our appointment with Ryan regarding our kitchen planning was a very good experience He listened to our ideas and what we wanted and advised us on what would work best. There was no pressure sales and he discussed all options for payment etc . He was upfront about any additional costs and found us the best deal possible. Thankyou

We bought a lovely bathroom in January…

We bought a lovely bathroom in January 2026. Ryan was absolutely lovely in designing our bathroom, then we paid in full for it. That's when things started to go wrong, first we had a start day for February and got a lot of the bathroom delivered within the first week of Feb. This is after the installer had been. When the day of the bathroom getting started came no one turned up, so I rang the installer who said sorry I'm not starting it till the 4th may, has no one told you. Obviously no one told me anything. So I rang customer service who were absolutely useless, I was getting passed from one to the other who apparently knew nothing about it. I asked to speak to the manager of customer service and was told no.... I said what do you mean no, I want to speak to your manager, they told me the manager would ring me later. Later came no manager rang me, so I rang back sill just got fobbed off. I rang Ryan and told him about it all, he said he knew nothing about it and that he would sort it..... he never did. I rang customer service and Ryan again and told them to collect all the bathroom stuff that had been delivered as it would be here for 3-4 months, it never got collected. In the end we got told the bathroom would get started on the 18th may so we just put up with it,as this was the 6th date we were given,as we were fed up by now. So just before the start date 18th may we got a message saying it will be the week after to start it, we were not holding out much hope,but it did get started then, now we have a problem that the shower tray is too big so we need a new one. It's been a week and no one has done anything about it. So I rang customer service who in the end suggested that we buy one from somewhere and they will refund me later. So that's where we are 2 weeks in with no bathroom no where to wash ( apart from the kitchen sink) and were left with a bucket to flush the toilet as the cistern was taken out. If id have known this from the start I would never have gone with them. There communication is zero if you want to know anything you have to ring them NOT A VERY GOOD COMPANY.

I have given this low score ,having…

I have given this low score ,having tried for two hours to organise a trade pro delivery, online system was not working properly. Soil had to go into the stockton branch. This procedure took so long whilst staff assisted me trying to do my whole order manually, so this took such a long time still had problems with the delivery.
So eventually after spending around £1,500 ,two weeks later I received a parking fine for £60 I was not familiar with this stores 90 minutes max stay i was a little over the time but nobody even pointed out to me about any parking times ,there is no announcements or any clear signs ,
This is because Wickes stockton want you their own customers to get fined after taking all our money, This is a disappointing experience and I will not be supporting a company that,as I have been told many of these big stores set up parking restrictions that are well below the normal stay times to boast profits and deliberately delay customers to let them get tickets to boost profits, maybe that's why there are no signs reminding you about this unfair time to park.
Wickes stockton your parking times are immoral and you have lost a customer of 20 years

Zoe Collier

Zoe Collier, our Wickes Design Consultant, was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. After our initial discussion, we quickly arranged a Measurement Appointment where we discussed initial ideas and made some recommendations. Our final design visit saw Zoe take us through each element, answering questions and showing how our design will look. Finally, discussions regarding finance were handled very professionally. Overall, we would highly recommend people speaking to Zoe to begin their new bathroom journey.

Gardening Club Thanks!

Wickes donated compost and bark for our school garden. Staff were incredibly helpful instore. Students had an excellent time using this to help tidy our growing area up. We can't thank you enough. We have had to wait for the weather to improve slightly! We have taken pictures but sadly we cannot add them here.

Kitchen design and fitting

We came to Wickes as we were looking for a new kitchen which we wanted to have supplied and fitted. Wickes helped us realise the vision we had through the design process and Dave was really helpful throughout particilarly when we required some changes to the design.
We were well informed about the dates of when things were happening and everything went to plan and finished as expected.

Kitchen purchase experience

From our first visit to Wickes we were impressed by the professionalism and dedication of your staff especially Zoe who made us feel comfortable with her knowledge of the product and worked with our budget to get us the best quality kitchen that we were looking for. I visited your store in stockton on tees today .I can honestly say I will never set foot in there again.The staff which I did manage to find was sprawled on a desk trying to avoid eye contact .I approched her asking for advice on a kitchen to be told I cant just walk in I would need an appointment ( there was not a person in the store ) she never asked if I would like to make an appointment no customer service at all . I asked if there was a brochure I could take to look to be told no look on line !!!!Absolutely disgusted.
