The consultation was excellent. However, I did not receive any follow-up. No email with a link to the design. Nothing. I spent about two hours in store and I have nothing to show for it.

Design consultant gave us a few good tips and seemed genuine but 2 weeks down the line we still haven't received the quote and plan that he promised to send us within a few days. No correspondence whatsoever. Needless to say we have gone with a local company and not Wickes.

Megan at Wickes Wallsend was very friendly and helpful, and answered my questions. The staff are always really approachable here, and they know their stuff. The range of stuff in the store isn't huge, but if they have the products you want, I've found the quality to generally be high.

Absolute life savers! A Monday night 10 minutes to 8 & I needed some washers as I had a leaky pipe under the sink. I knew the store was closing but this was no issue for the colleagues who helped me find what I needed and got me in and out quickly. The manager and team were all having a good laugh and clearly enjoy their work - will definitely be my number one go to now

When I called into wickes I was not sure what I needed or actually what I was looking for, I asked Nicola if she would give me some guidance, as I have been to other DIY stores without much luck or assistance I was amazed at the detailed advice and money saving tips I was given, needless to say I managed to purchase exactly what I needed. All stores and retailers could do with a Nicola, her help and knowledge was great thank you

I was in the Wallsend store last week, and a kind girl called megan at the service desk helped me sort out my trade account. I visit the store regularly and she is always welcoming and every time is ready to help customers no matter how busy the store is. She has amazing customer service.

Jordan, the store manager went out of his way to get the tiles we needed. They were discontinued so he collected them from a different store so we could collect them from our local store. He even helped us get them into our car. Amazing service.

Company assured us kitchen would be fitted within a week. It's a very small kitchen and used by a family of 5.

Within a couple of days expressed concern at slow progress and the installer hardly being at the property. We were told the person they employed was nothing to do with them and could work as little as they liked.

The one week job took four weeks in the end. That's no cooker, no sink, no washer for almost a month instead of 5 days with three children in the house.

We were also invoiced for multiple items at the end covered in the installation paid for through Wickes.

The installer started demanding final payment before completion of work and we were harassed with calls and messages for days before work was completed.

Damage was caused to other parts of the property over the four weeks.

Made a formal complaint at end of process and customer service has been disgusting. Promised to help once signed off as completed, but have been waved off with Wickes is not interested in how long it's taken or the damage caused or unnecessary expenses caused by lack of work being carried out.

I called into Wickes on Friday morning, I bought a few bits and bobs and was served by a young lady called Elise (I think). She was very helpful, polite and her customer service was brilliant.

Been to wicks wallsend today for some plumbing advice I’ve been there a few times but there was one lady there who went above and beyond to help me today I found they had everything I needed and it wasn’t a problem for her to get them and explain the ins and outs of the things I needed I left feeling very happy and positive to the fact I didn’t have to go to other shops for the rest of the things I needed

10/10 service. Staff were great & Manager was very helpful !

Had our kitchen designed by Mark in the Wallsend store today. He was very friendly and knowledgeable. No pushy sales tactics or trying to upsell. He was very patient with ideas and changes we had, and nothing was to much trouble. 5*

We’ve been thoroughly disappointed with the level of customer service we’ve received from Wickes.

We had our bathroom designed and installed, and while the initial process included the usual minor snags, things took a turn a few months after completion. Within 2–3 months, two of the taps began to tarnish quite badly. Wickes acknowledged the issue and agreed to replace them — but that was over eight months ago. Since then, we’ve sent countless follow-up emails, which haven’t resulted in the taps being replaced.

Despite having a warranty in place, it seems to offer little to no reassurance.

What should have been a source of enjoyment — a brand-new bathroom that came at a considerable cost — has become a frustrating and drawn-out ordeal. Instead of appreciating the space, we’re left dealing with ongoing customer service issues.

At this point, it seems we may need to escalate the matter or raise a formal dispute just to receive the basic support we expected from the start.

If we had the chance to do it all over again, we would not choose Wickes

I just want to say a huge thank you to Andreas. I couldn’t recommend enough, after being pointed in he’s direction I can certainly confirm he is someone who has an eye for detail and impeccable design, no job was too big especially with our ideas/plans. Years of knowledge and with a few hours our whole experience of designing our dream kitchen has been effortless. Plenty tips along the way and most of all the honesty, I felt it was our choices and no forced actions.
I was slightly apprehensive about going along to the appointment, not for any other reason than a bad experience prior but we have left feeling beyond excited.

I have bought 3 kitchens recently from Wickes and Andreas has designed them all. He is a brilliant designer and is also very friendly and patient and made the whole process very enjoyable. He has lots of good ideas and suggestions to ensure that we got the best kitchens we possibly could. The kitchens were all totally different - rental property/office / luxury for family home and Andreas was able to understand our vision and ensure we got the best possible kitchens for the best value. I wouldn’t go to a different kitchen designer / supplier now as also wickes has extensive choice and great quality products as well as a first class designer with Andreas

Really supportive team to complete our project. Staff in store gave great advice helping to turn our vision into a reality. The contractors who they commissioned to complete the project were efficient, helpful and got the job done.
