The tint is rubbish

The tint is rubbish, guys. Don’t waste your money. They probably have good quality film for suppliers and a Chinese one for us. I ordered the tint from them, and one of my friends, whose main job was window tinting in Ukraine, said that he has never worked with this kind of film.

Not as good as it looks

Originally when I had bought the static tint I applied to the car with ease and it made the car look fantastic but after 3 months we had a little bit of sun the back window had fell off so I reapplied it like the website says to then realise that it had shrunk by 2cm either side
So have had to remove it completely as it now looks like a bodge job so I'm my opinion it's a was of £70 to look good for 3 months should of spent the extra money and got a company to do it properly

Hi Lorne, I am sorry to hear about your experience. I believe you have left this feedback in error as we do not offer any form of public fitting as we are a supplier and a window tinting training academy only. We also do not have any staff members named Leo that work for us. We are based in Chester CH4 - Please can I ask what location you had this done and also the company name that attempted to do the fit for you.
If possible can you please remove this feedback as this was not carried out by our company.

Thank you and I hope you get your tints sorted properly. If you want to contact us directly we maybe able to point you in the direction of good tinters that we supply materials too.

All the best.

Kind regards
Team WT

Audi A4 bumper protection

Guys were really helpful over the phone identifying the product that I needed, and the goods arrived the following morning. Super easy to apply bumper protection film . Had looked at a number of distributors however nobody seemed to do Audi A4 B9/ B9.5 options. Therefore that is a market advantage of other suppliers. Well done Guys.

Poor window tinting film

Poor window tinting film. contacted them about the quality that does not stick on the windows and not adhesive enough which makes it hard to stick, sending an offer of £15 refund for the mistake of sending the wrong front window tinting, refund less than I paid, they returned the email to me with the story, and again as I told not any professional would install the poor quality tinting film. £72.97 in the trach, I don't recommend saving your money and buying somewhere else, and keep it as far as you can, con masters... genuine review, don't replay with your story.. should be zero stars

Hi,

Thank you of your feedback, we are sorry that the front windows were sent out a 70% and not the 20% as requested. When you contact us to let us know of this error, we offered to send out the front windows to you in the tint % you requested and you asked for us to refund you for the front side windows. *The full kit price you paid including the front windows was £64.49 this kit without the front side windows is £49.49 so the difference to not have the front windows is £15 this is why a £15 partial refund was issued to you.

Our window tinting film is used in over 60+ professional fitting garages all over the UK and Europe we have no issues with the quality of our film.

Window tinting film has a curing adhesive meaning this will get stronger over the course of 2-5 days of being applied. Professional window tinting film is made like this so the tint can be moved around the glass freely so it can be put into the correct position before the film fully attaches to the glass.

The only reason the film will not hold to the glass is if this is not heat shrunk correctly or the placement of the film is incorrect causing bunching and creating air pockets/fingers this means the film is not sitting flush on the glass.

We are sorry you have had a issue with your installation and we would be more than happy to take you though any of the fitting steps and to offer you a discount of a replacement kit as a goodwill gesture.

Kind regards
Team WT

Pay a Professional …

Dealing with Window-tint was a good experience, website was easy to use , smooth transaction and tints arrived following day (delivery upgrade). But the fun stopped there. Make no mistake, this is a job for skilled individuals not have a go amateurs, I ended up removing 4 out of 7 tints as they just looked terrible. When I contacted window-tint they said they would give me a £5 discount if I bought another complete kit. I did not bother. Get it done professionally, mistakes are hard to rectify and life’s too short. Charles Saunders

Poor customer service. Avoid

Bought the window tint and quite easy to install, however big grey line around each window all the way around.
Contacted the company and was told it was due to the type of windows they have a black dot etching around them and was told entirely tough luck and "happens with all window tint on this type of window" so just have to deal with it. If I had known wouldn't have bought the tint in the first place. Should have been refunded as it doesn't fit on these windows due to the etching. Told to "Google the issue" and see they all have the issue.
Tried to claim under customer goods act right to refuse a product within 30 days... Still wouldn't accept it.
Horrendous customer service, should be given a refund but they don't care. Won't use again and will suggest others avoid in the future.

Hi Richard,

Thank you for your review. The grey line you are referring to is called Dot Matrix. This is paint on the glass used to disapate heat, this is like a peak and a trough. The film wants to stick to the top of the peak and not in the trough. However, this can be pressed down a week after installation as mentioned in our e-mail exchange. This will not go completely due to its nature. You will get this finish with every aftermarket window film installation, as fitters we experience this daily. The finish of the Dot Matrix is mentioned on our website.

The film was used and installed to your vehicle which you mention fitted quite easily to your glass. Therefore, we were unable to accept a return on this as the entire kit had been used and installed.

We are sorry that you were not happy with the finish on the Dot Matrix, the only way to avoid this is by replacing the glass with dyed glass which can be extremely expensive.

We wish you all the best

Apprehension misplaced as fine product…

Apprehension misplaced as fine product with relatively easy installation after watching, several times, installation videos & noting each step. 'H' pattern in rear screen should be emphasised as in extra soap not just "wet"& care with heat gun not to over heat film & backing. Very happy with result & help/encouragement given when needed. I'd happily recommend for good DIYer.

Rubbish Stuff!

I received a window tint from the company after looking at several installation videos and having plenty of experience applying vinyl as part as my job. The instructions supplied were not specific to my type of window and the finish was poor. I would not recommend this and even though I feel the product was sold under the illusion that it would be easy to achieve a good looking tint, I was not offered a refund. They offered me a discount on a second purchase which has its own section on the website - goes to show how often this happens! 1/5

Hi Henry, thank you for your review. Unfortunately, window tinting film is very different to vinyl film. After the images that you sent through were assessed, it unfortunately became clear that this issue was with the installation, meaning, we are not liable to replace the item. The kit that you ordered is for a Volkswagen Caddy, this is one of our best selling kits and we have had excellent reviews from our previous customers who purchased this kit.

As this is a DIY product, this project can, unfortunately, go wrong. As a gesture of goodwill, we offered you a replacement for a discounted price as we did not want you to be unhappy with your purchase, we also offered you extra advise over e-mail for the heat shrinking process. We have High Definition tutorial videos on our website, which our customers have access to before purchasing their kit.

The single window listing that we have on the website is a nessacery listing, as if one of our customers is unsuccessful with one or more windows, they can purchase single replacements so that they do not have to purchase the full kit again.

We are sorry that you are unhappy with your purchase, we wish you all the best.

Been using them for years

Have been using the chameleon tint for years on several headlights and cars and have never had a problem. They have always stuck down really well and never let any water under it etc.

Had an accident not long ago where a car smashed into the side/fender of my car, tearing the headlight. The vinyl protected my headlight completely with no damage to the glass!

Super company

Super company. Had initial problems however contacted Micheal who sent a second set of window tints free of charge and by using a hairdryer the installation proved very successful. Good product nice people and customer service second to none.

Vinyl fitting made easy

Ordered a rear bumper protector to fit to an Audi A3. Dreaded fitting it a little bit as I’ve had bad experiences with vinyl in the past. I watched the videos on their website and with the use of their slime and a squeegee I was fitting in under half an hour with no bubbles or lifting at all. Would happily recommend the bumper protector to others

READ THIS BEFORE BOOKING

Genuinly the best experience I have received as a customer. Not just for car products, but as a customer full stop.

If you want your windows tinting / chameleon - then go here.
They won't do anything that's illegal, and advise on what's OK and what's not... They even show you the light emitting percentage!

These are a must have, for those who want things done right!

Top company, top blokes, great service.

Ordered some pre-cut tint but didn’t get around to fitting it until six months later, just to find it was the wrong kit. Rang up with no real expectations of Window Tint being able to help, but these guys run real customer service, which is rare these days! A couple of emails and calls with Michael and Callum and the right kit is now on its way to me, no hassle or run around, they just sorted it. Helped me out after six months, admitted the error was on their end and were massively helpful and friendly, can’t remember the last time it was such a pleasure to deal with a company. Now all I have to do is not b*****ks up the fitting (something that Michael said to not worry about and not to hesitate in calling for help if I need it, what more can you ask for?)
