I’ve never had to deal with such a poor company. I bought a ScanWatch 2 as a Christmas present, and straight out of the box it wouldn’t connect or sync properly — apparently due to the wearer’s wrist tattoos.
I contacted Withings to return the faulty product and was initially told I wasn’t eligible for a refund because I was “outside the 28-day return window” — despite the watch being faulty. I explained that they had advertised an extended Christmas returns period, after which they finally agreed to the return.
I sent the watch back on January 2nd. Yodel confirmed it had been delivered, yet my refund was never processed. Customer service is essentially AI — I kept receiving automated responses even though I was supposedly speaking to a real person. I provided proof of return multiple times. First, I was told the item was in the warehouse; later, I was told they didn’t have it at all.
Under UK consumer law, refunds should be processed within 14 days of receiving a return. After weeks of back-and-forth with no resolution, I was forced to open a PayPal claim to finally get my money back, as Withings were withholding the refund. Which has only just been processed!
This company is fine if you never need to return anything. But if you do, expect a nightmare. I’d strongly recommend buying from a more reputable company instead.
No live support or even s customer service representative
Bought scan watch for spouse, constantly having to reset, can't talk live only chat, watch is 50 days old , Chat trying to say only 30 day warranty. This is my 3rd watch over the years purchased from them. Never again!
Withings will not process my refund
I am writing this review in the hope that Withings will finally address an overdue refund.
I returned my scales on 12 January, and Withings’ warehouse confirmed receipt on 17 January.
Despite this, I have received no refund and no clear communication confirming when it will be processed.
I contacted customer support to follow up once the refund became overdue and allowed reasonable time for a response. Unfortunately, the only response was an email saying they no longer monitor the email but I can go to the help centre on the website, which is a list of general questions. So my refund is lost and they have the scales and there’s no way to communicate with Withings. . I have chased multiple times.
It’s been 3 weeks, I just want a straightforward refund for a returned item, which has been received.
No communication path is open to me.
I hope Withings will respond publicly here and resolve this matter promptly.

Update (Feb 5, 2026):
After posting my review, I was able to contact Withings via their website chat. They have now confirmed that my refund has been processed, and that I should receive the money within 7–14 business days.
However, 7-14 days from now is well beyond the timeframe required by UK consumer law, which states that refunds for returned goods must be made within 14 calendar days of receipt. My return was received on 17 January, so even if I receive the refund by the latest date they mention (25 February), that will be over three weeks late.
Whilst I’m glad the refund is finally being processed, the delay highlights poor customer service and not only non‑compliance with legal requirements but also lack of knowledge of their legal requirements. During the chat with the chat online, when I referenced the legal requirement to make refunds within 14 days of receipt of goods, I was told all applicable laws would be followed!

Withings update and associated nightmares
After a recent update to version 8.3.0 the Withings App has been a nightmare. The walking option has been removed on my watch and I can't get it back plus my watch is consistently four minutes slow. Time to bin it and hopefully find something else that actually works.
Withings demonstrated exceptional…
Withings demonstrated exceptional customer service and stood behind its product. When diagnostics performed on line regarding a model I acquired proved the unit was faulty, I received a sticker for Fed Ex shipment and my replacement model was delivered in less than a week. If only other manufacturers could learn that an unhappy customer connects with more potential customers who listen closely and remember negative reviews than with customers who are satisfied with their product.
Cannot setup the scale after a reset because of "Too new" software on the phone
the product itself was great, but when I changed my Iphone to a newer, I couldnt connect anymore. According to their website, the final option was to reset the scale. But efter resetting, it was impossible to connect my phone, due to the software on the phone being to new, so the answer was that I should get an older phone, which I dont have access to anymore. And I can see plenty others having the exact same issue, but hey, I guess thats just a way of forcing people to buy a new one. But its a shame, because I really liked the scale, but now I am never touching Withings again.

Great scale and app
I have my Withings Body Scan for about six months. It does everything as advertised and works very well. I bought it to help me with my fitness and diet journey so I’d know where and if I was having an impact. That has really worked and given me the confidence and data to keep going. I love this product, honestly.

I have been in contact with Withings support for over a week. My weight scale stopped working after a battery change. Support asked me for screenshots etc etc and eventually simply stopped responding and I received an email saying my ticket was closed. Dreadful. Won’t buy their equipment again.
Scanwatch Nova upgrade very disappointing
In all I’ve been using Withings watches for five years. After using a Scanwatch Horizon for four years I decided to upgrade to the Scanwatch Horizon. I am regretting this decision. The sleep tracking doesn’t work, even though it worked ok on the Horizon. Support has been disappointing, sending advice on how to ware the watch. I will be returning the Nova if these issues are not resolved.
Flawless customer service!
Terrible
Watch won't even tell time without the App, which is terrible. Proprietary charger hardly works. Some vitals don't work or are not automated. Customer service is terrible.
Product failed just out of warranty and very slow customer service
I bought the body smart scales in 2023. They have just died and after a week of customer services asking for photos of the connections and trying new batteries etc (messages get replied to at best 24 hours later), they then checked my warranty and said it was out of warranty and offered me 25% off a new product. Why not check the warranty at the beginning? And I won't be buying again.
Awful app
I hoped this would be the developer's continuation of the 8fit app with delicious low-calorie meals. They used to provide a shopping list too but support waned over the years, nevertheless it was good to have a guide to keep my nutrition good and avoid hunger. The Withings app is so awful though, finding their meal plans takes a hunt and then to find there's only a limited amount. Awful. Avoid, get something else.
Great fitness tracker
I wanted a a hypoallergenic watch to track my steps and activity. It's worked really well for that.
Only feedback:
1. the standard band is not hypoallergenic.
2. it's not clear that you are signing up for Withings+ when you enroll in the programs on the app

The scales are quite unreliable, give readings up and down by as much as 3kg, just doesn't inspire confidence in the accuracy. Also delivery time was very hit and miss, took a long time to arrive, such a shame as the look absolutely great, style over substance I am afraid.
Virtually impossible to track data trends
It's virtually impossible to track data trends, both on the mobile app and the browser version (the latter being worse). All the data on the actual scale flash by so quickly that I can't log them, then when I go to the app to try to see trends and numeric values over time, it's impossible to find. Very frustrating.
