Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Evaluating 94 reviews, reviewers overwhelmingly had a great experience with this company. Customers are highly satisfied with the product, praising its quality and the immersive haptic sensations it provides for music, gaming, and movies. Many find the user experience relaxing, revitalizing, and a significant enhancement to their audio activities, with some noting it helps with anxiety and mental well-being. The value for money is also frequently highlighted as excellent. However, some customers experienced issues with connectivity, particularly when trying to use Apple AirPods, and a few reported that the mat can overheat or that the haptic response dulls after extended use. There were also concerns about the fit of certain vest models, with some reviewers feeling they were not designed for all body types, leading to a less effective experience.

Pretty terrible product

Pretty terrible product. After all the marketing videos I watched online, I figured I would be really impressed with the woojer strap, but it is an absolutely atrocious product. The DAC that is used inside this rumbling mess is an absolute disaster, your headphones will sound so incredibly bad, it's kind of insulting to a pair of 400$ headphones that are plugged into the woojer strap. The biggest selling feature is an absolute waste of money, the vibration or haptic feedback is a mess, rarely matching anything on screen or in VR. If it does anything well, it's detracting from the experience of playing in VR, listening to music, or watching a movie. Do not believe the hype videos of people being blown away by this device. It's not worth your money or your time. Their instagram chat is dead and customer support takes forever to reply.

Have the Strap and Vest

Have the Strap and Vest. Don't expect the Strap to blow your mind but it's a real gem and with the right content, you will love it. The Vest? Yes! That's no doubt a mind-blowing experience!

If I can prevent one person from buying…

If I can prevent one person from buying this mess I've done my duty. I can't believe someone made this thing, packaged it, and sold it for MORE THAN FIVE DOLLARS. Biggest waste of money I have ever regretted. I was expecting something really cool and I had no idea what to expect. What I got is a slap to the face. This is garbage.

Woojer Strap Edge

Purchased this item whilst on offer. First of all I cannot fault the shipping to the UK, the item arrived in 7 days. Now on to the review. Having used the item for a few days, I am pretty impressed. I mainly use the item with my oculus quest 2. The item is great for FPS,taking a hit and feeling the thump ans heartbeating was special. I feel it is a little under performing on the actual music based VR games like beat saber and smash drums which is why I only give it 4 stars, maybe its my set up. Listening to actual music, this item is great, people are not lying when they say you won't listen to music in the same way again. In terms of the product, it's not the most discreet item to wear but it is comfortable, you hardly notice it other than the thumping haptics. Overall very pleased so far

Sucks. Waste of money

I got the woojer strap edge almost a year ago. It was intriguing until I got it. Plugged it in to my xbox... The party/voice chat activates the vibration. My friend talks it goes buzz buzz. That is lame.
Infact it reacts to every little sound. A bird chirping. Really? This thing is stupid. I've used it only a handful of times since. Not worth it. I totally regret getting it. Waste of money.
Nowhere to leave a review on their website, they are a scam. All the reviews they have on their website are fake.

Believe the hype - and make a brew.

I've had the Woojer Strap Edge for about a week now. After showing it to friends and family and having some real fun with it, I've realised that it's so much more than a novelty piece. I've just been in my kitchen, making a tea, listening to Killing in the Name by Rage Against the Machine, and lost my music-loving little mind. I'm never going back to headphones-only. I can't.

I am very ambivalent about which rating…

I am very ambivalent about which rating I should give.
I use the vest to watch movies and gaming.

The experience is really unique and immerses you in the film / game.

The device itself has some flaws that spoil the experience.

For one thing, the vest only works with a battery. It doesn't last very long and it has to be charged after 2-3 hours. This takes 3-4 hours despite the quick charger included in the scope of delivery. The first charge after unpacking took me 5 hours.
Unfortunately, it cannot be used while the vest is charging.
I would like to use the device while it is charging, or have a function of supplying the vest with power directly from the socket and not from the battery. Then I don't have to worry about when the vest suddenly stops working. For example with Lord of the Rings. In none of the films did the vest's battery last until the end of the three films.

Then there is the LED light. I have no idea what companies are doing with their annoying LEDs these days.
When the vest is in operation, I have the vest's glaring light permanently under my left eye. This is super annoying, especially in dark scenes.

Furthermore, there is no indicator at which level the intensity and volume is set. So you simply cannot find your working setting for each medium and you have to reconfigure it every time. Volume and intensity are different every time, for example, when you play games or watch a film in front of the TV. And on the TV it varies again between the apps. Netflix and Prime required different settings.
Different profiles cannot be saved in the vest.

Something has to be done at these points so that, for me personally, the experience is as it is intended.
At the moment, the technology seems to be in the experimental stage and has a few very annoying shortcomings.

Save your money.

I think Spock said "you may find that after a short time(first 5 min) wanting a thing is much more pleasurable than actually having that thing, or somerthing to that effect, anyway just strap the cheapest dollar store speaker to your chest(bluetooth or otherwise) and there you go! Wackjer. I wish i could give negative stars, at least 3.

Return Policy is just wrong!

That the product is not as expected, ok..
It just is not as you see in the commercials. It is just vibrating on you body. Not the experience you see those people have. But commercials are what they are..The biggest problem with this firm is that they make it almost impossible to return the belt. You have to send it to USA or Israel. Costs for that are more than 86 euro. DHL more than 100 euro. So they do have a return policy, but not as what is common here.
The product was send from a office in Holland. Why not make it possible to send it to there....That does not feel ok. Return policy makes Woojer feel like a scam

Love this thing so much

Love this thing so much! Had an issue with charging which appears to be my fault as I have not used the fast charger that comes with Vest. Support were super responsive. Highly recommend this company and can't wait to see their next thing!

Not an audiophile product

To call this an Audiophile product is ridiculous.
I was expecting an immersive sub-base sensation, but it is more like having a phone on vibrate go off in your pocket.
I can just about see how this might work for gaming or SFX movies, but for music it is far too crude.
P.S. Yes I did update the firmware.

Got a vest for Christmas

Got a vest for Christmas. I love bass and have a sub in my car. I absolutely LOVE this thing.
Bit tricky with audio mirroring but once you get that done it's so amazing.
Monstercat remixes are good to test! Happy Wub Wub!
