If you make pom poms for things like hats, this is an awesome product. It makes very nice pom poms and I prefer it to the cardboard or fork methods, though you do have to trim it to make it nice and even when you remove it from the pom pom maker.

I bought this little gadget as the beanie hat I was making required a pom-pom. I remember making pom-poms as a child with a piece of folded cardboard and a ball of wool, And I can honestly say I probably could’ve done a better job using a piece of cardboard. This device is okay if you have no idea how to make a pom-pom, but I wouldn’t recommend it if you actually know how to do it. This device only allowed a certain amount of wool to be wrapped so the pom-pom was quite small, and I wanted to make a huge fluffy one.
