Q70 Front Hub Kit for Brompton with 10AH Bag Battery

I cancelled my Swytch kit after months of delays and ordered a Woosh Q70 Front Hub Kit for Brompton with 10AH Bag Battery. It arrived a few days later! Great quality and excellent follow-up customer service. I have the power and speed set low because I'm a potterer not a "cyclist", and I've now done 35 miles in rolling Devon countryside with the battery down to 3 out of 5 bars. Needless to say, I'm delighted. Highly recommended.

First class customer support

My son had an accident on his 2 year old Rambletta and damaged the fork stem assembly. I phoned the company late in the afternoon to see if they could help and Andy posted a complete replacement assembly at a great price the next morning. Great customer support!

Hi Sean,
Thank you for your interest. The most powerful kit we have is the Tongsheng TSDZ8. We have Live Webchat on the site. It's manned by one of us in normal office hours. You can also leave your questions there, we'll answer them as soon as possible. The link to the Livechat is at the bottom right corner of the web page.

Fantastic customer service

Not a previous customer of woosh but had an issue with broken part off a tongsheng mid drive unit. Andy replied promptly to my email, sourcing the part I needed. As it happened it turns out I just need a bolt, which Andy provided the details off for me to get locally. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase of yourselves in the future based on your superb customer service. Thanks..

Amazing ebikes!

We purchased two Woosh ebikes in August 2000 due to Covid, and they have been life changing! We've been cycling now for 5 years, and the bikes have worked perfectly. Just a tune up now and then, but no problems - not even a single flat tire! Would highly recommend their ebikes to anyone.

My Big Bear is 9 years old

My Big Bear is 9 years old, and working great, no problems despite all year round use.
Replaced the battery 1 year ago, as the original dropped a cell, and the replacement was a slight upgrade.
Saved me at least double the original cost, in fuel for my car, and Taxi fares at the weekend etc.
Totally recommend Woosh.

Good service and good advice.

Initially investigating if electric bike or kit for a bike. After speaking to Andy, he thought bike+kit maybe best for us. After trying the bikes out, we brought the Woosh Gran-Camino. There was no hard sell, the bike felt right and expensive. Ordered Friday and collected today Monday. I appreciate if anything does go wrong, we have a shop to back too. Right decision for us.

I bought an electric bike conversion…

I bought an electric bike conversion kit from Woosh and would happily recommend them. The advice I received beforehand helped me choose the right option for me and the help was there for a few questions I had after the kit arrived, which was next day. There's a lot of outlets offering conversion kits but I don't see the need to go to any of them because Woosh provide an excellent service.

Gran Camino (2022)

Gran Camino (2022) - Review after 2 years and 3500miles.

I picked up this bike to encourage me to commute more on two wheels, instead of the train/car. My commute is 11 miles each way and I used to cycle once or twice a week.

If you want a brief review: the bike is fantastic and rides as well today as it did 2 years back. It has been worth every penny.

If you want a bit more information about my experience, here you go:

This was my first eBike, so I had no idea what to expect. Service from Woosh was top notch, they helped me out by email first (I'm short, and was a little concerned over the size of the bike but thanks to back and forth it was similar to the one I was replacing). Ordering was easy and delivery was prompt. It arrived already in great condition and required minimal setting up.
My first commute was straight forward on it, I did the typical male thing of ignoring all instructions and just jumping on.
The control module is nice and customisable too, and the (legal) 15mph limit can be removed. Obviously I can't possibly recommend this, but if you were to do it, then the bike pushes about 20mph on a flat on full assist.

Battery capacity is excellent, and whilst it will reduce over the years (as is made clear) it is still good now. I picked up the larger battery and could do roughly 44miles on full assist (2 commutes) at which point it was getting low. That includes big hills. Also keep in mind that full assist may be at speeds a little above 15mph ;) You'll get more at the default speeds.

2 years later I can do around 35 to 40 miles. I charge it every evening so it's yet to be completely drained. Part of the reduction in capacity comes not just from age but because during a cold snap I left the bike/battery in the garage and it was subjected to constant -5c temperatures. Bring that battery in in the cold!

The bike is solid and well made. I've had to do usual wear and tear replacements (chain, brake pads), I've had a few punctures, and I've had to replace the front tyre (a HUGE piece of glass pretty much destroyed it).

I've been knocked off twice (perils of city cycling) and fallen due to ice once. Basically I'm clumsy and the bike has been treated roughly! The only noticeable damage is the lever that locks the front fork has cracked, this was from me hitting the pavement though!

The bike comes well equipped for commuting, the rack on the back is superb. It's still strong, solid and doesn't rattle, and it carries a very heavy set of panniers three times a week.

The bike mud guards are good, though I find clearance on the front one is a little tight. It's a minor quibble though.

One thing about the bike I dislike, probably personal preference, is the quick release through-axle on the front wheel, I found it very fiddly and had to resort to YouTube!

Repairing a puncture on the rear tyre is a bit difficult too, removing the tyre is a bit fiddly due to the motor and the connections to it. I carry a fairly large wrench in my pannier that fits the nut on the rear, the standard bike kit I used to carry didn't have one large enough. However I'd rather have it fiddly to remove than have someone running off with it!

Another con is the weight, there's no getting away that the bike is very heavy, but I was aware of this going in. There are occasional times when I've had to lift the bike up steps and it's genuinely quite hard to do. Removing the battery does lighten the load considerably.

Despite the weight the bike is very pleasant to ride without the power switched on (or with it set to zero assist). If I'm out on a bike ride with my daughter, I'm forbidden from getting any extra assistance, but the bike can be set to "0" assist and you still get the benefit of the trip computer.

Appreciate this is very long, but if you're debating a purchase hopefully this gives you some insight and some assurance as to the quality of the product!

Woosh bikes still going strong !

I’ve been dealing with Woosh Bikes for about 10 years and always found them to be helpful and efficient.
Recently I needed a new battery for a Woosh Petite. They were no longer able to offer a direct replacement but did offer a compatible kit comprising battery, rear rack and charger. The battery is twice the capacity of the original and the overall cost was no more than having the smaller battery overhauled.
Thanks to Andy for his advice and excellent service.

Great customer service. RAMBLETTA Bike arrived fine in Scotland and the clear instruction made final built up steps easy. All comprehensive instructions handy for future reference. Super toolkit included. The bike is solid, good quality, compact and a dream to drive. My partner loves it.

Excellent Woosh Santana CD 36v

I bought my Woosh Santana CD 36volt 15AH bike exactly 10 years ago. I am 77yrs old and I love it. A bike ride now feels just as it did when I was a very fit 17 yr. old. Hills? No problem.
I have not done a huge mileage as I use it most on holiday in Spain where I cycle off to villages for coffee or a beer.
I had the original battery checked recently and it still has 92% efficiency.
When I bought the bike I mistakenly took it fully charged to Spain in the car. On arrival the battery was dead. I was not aware the battery should not be transported in that way except at half charge.
I contacted Woosh and they sent a replacement to Spain and said I could return the original on my return home. Fantastic service.
Recently, error 25 came up on the Kingmeter display which I diagnosed as a faulty contact on the brake lever.
As the bike is in storage in Spain, I contacted my friend there who took pictures for me so Woosh could supply the lever with the correct connection.
This was quite complicated but Andy, at Woosh, spent time and a number of emails back and forth to me to get it right. He answered e mails very promptly and the customer service was faultless. I am very grateful to him for saving the cycling part of my next holiday.
I recommend Woosh bikes without reservation for long service and superb after sales support, often lacking with other companies.

Happy rider

Comming up to a year of riding the Woosh Camino. What a brilliant e bike it has been so far. Goes everywhere that I need to go. Very powerful and easy to ride. Have purchased a few electric bikes in the past but this one is by far the best. The only thing I regret is at the larger capacity battery was not available at time of order. No real problem but as I tend to cover a lot of miles it would be good to have the peace of mind of a larger capacity battery. When I am ready to update my present bike it will be the Grand Camino.

Woosh Gran Camino

I took so long to decide to buy an eBike that my first choice, the Woosh Camino with the 17Ah battery was out of stock, however due to my constant procrastination, I'd managed to save up a little bit more and my funds stretched to the Gran Camino. (Bear in mind, before this bike, I'd never even ridden an eBike before as the local dealers didn't have anything they would even let me try out.)

There was a little problem with the courier, due to the fuel shortages, resulting delivery just after 9pm - later than I was led to believe, however the delivery people were incredibly helpful and actually took it though the house and into the back garden - I really can't fault them, especially as they had 150 miles to travel to get back home.

When I unpacked the bike it seemed easy to assemble, but somehow I could not get the handlebars to fit correctly, I spent hours trying to figure out what had happened, gave up, called Woosh, spoke to Andy, sent photos, but even he was struggling, so I put the half assembled bike in the garage for the night. Next morning, I decided to try again and everything went together perfectly - must have been visited by the bike faeries during the night! (Thanks for sending them, Andy!)

I left it on charge for a few hours and couldn't wait any longer, so helmet and gloves on and off I went for a ride. The first thing I noticed was how easy to is to pedal without power on at all - I did about four miles without power, then tentatively pressed the button. On 1 there was a surge of power once I began to pedal,, but nothing too uncontrollable - 2 ... 3 ... 4 ... 5 - no problems at all - a couple more laps of the local park and back home again - very happy!

Since then, I've covered around 200 miles - I'm fortunate that, where I live there are not a lot of hills, but even on the longer rides through hillier terrain, the Gran Camino seems to take them in it's stride. I left the power assistance on the 1 setting, didn't use the throttle and managed over 100 miles on one battery charge - but due to complaints from friends (with racing bikes) about how I was holding them up, when I'm riding with them I tend to still have the power assistance at 1, but use the throttle - it's great fun to see them struggling up the hills as I glide by on my Gran Camino.

It's quite a heavy beastie at around 25kg, but as it's only 6kg more than my previous old manual bike, it's very manageable. I've carried it up several flights of stairs (about 20 steps on each flight) without too much difficulty.

The quality of the bike is great - although I'd like to know if Woosh has some touch-up paint available as our local builder managed to scratch the paint off the frame while he was moving some of his tools. I am amazed at how easy it is to manage without power - I'd thought of getting some sort of breakdown recovery in case the electrics failed while I was a few miles from home, but in reality, it's so easy to pedal without power, I think that's unnecessary.

I had a water bottle, but it won't fit on the frame (and I'm not drilling holes in it!), I did end up buying a rear rack pannier bag which I use for my riding "essentials" (spare inner tube, tools, pump and water bottle, etc) but I have to say I've had a few complimentary comments from friends - they all think the bike looks great.

Excellent bike and I'm glad I went for the Gran Camino - the extra suspension is very good and although I tend to stick to tarmac, on the occasions when I traverse unsurfaced roads and paths, the wider tyres make a difference.

If you're thinking of an eBike, I can't say more than have a serious look at the Woosh Camino and Gran Camino.

Bought a Gran Camino

Ordered a Gran Camino from Woosh. Received it on time. Well packed and easy to put together as only the handlebars and pedals needed fixing on.
Company dealt quickly with a couple of queries I’ve had.
Only done a couple of hundred miles since delivery but so far the bike seems well built.
Products are well spec’d for the money and look better in the flesh than they do in photos.
So far I can say they are highly recommended for anybody wishing to buy an ebike.
