I wanted to go from Samoens to Flaine in the Haute Savoie region of the French Alps. The directions given took me the exact opposite direction for about an hour. Thinking this is just one error due si... See more

Fuel wasting app!!!
My daughter and girlfriend have been using this app, both were complaining about their fuel usage. After being in the car with them, I couldn’t believe where it took them.. a simple 10 mile journey turned into 30 miles!! Absolute RUBBISH!!
This is a must-have app if you are…
This is a must-have app if you are driving in an unfamiliar area. It is very functional , very accurate and easy to use. You are given alternate routes in heavy traffic. Thank you Waze!!
Waze has totally lost it
I loved Waze for years
It’s a total disaster now
Where to start? Road works blocked Primrose Hill for 5 weeks - Waze still sent you into it. Road works removed last week - today Waze had them up and tried to send me on a 10 minutes 1.5 mile diversion. This is typical. It lags behind where you are making it almost dangerous to follow the route. And I am constantly ignoring it and finding my route is far quicker…
Well as a speed camera detector does…
Well as a speed camera detector does its not good at all!
I have had good and bad experience
I have had good and bad experience. Sometimes it selects a really convenient route to help pass traffic. But other times the routes seem so random and I end up spending 40 minutes more in my car than I would have if I had been using Google or any other platform. Also the speed camera feature is a bit buggy.
Shocking app that freaks out
Shocking app that freaks out when traffic is heavy on more than one route. It also tells you to change route once you’ve gone past a turning. This then makes the journey even longer. Also too slow to update on roadworks and closed roads. The list goes on…
What should of been a 28 min journey on…
What should of been a 28 min journey on a few A roads . Instead took me right round onto 3 motorways stupid I was Mile's out the way deleting it it also took me on tiny roads in Wales which had grass growing in the middle and disused. I thought this app was fab until these two ridiculous routes
Hopeless last two updates
Hopeless last two updates, selection of petrol station companies gone and maps just freezing. Used APK and gone back two updates to June /july dated app and now it works. Hopeless updates, need to sack some idi ots involved.
I just finally deleted this stupid app
I just finally deleted this stupid app. It’s just terrible. Has gotten me lost for the last damn time?? Good riddance WAZE!!!
It won't let me show where a crash is
It won't let me show where a crash is! I tapped the crash icon but it said the crash was at my house! There is no crash at my house.
This app used to be so good
This app used to be so good. What happened?. It now seems to delight in sending you down totally inappropriate roads. We recently went to Devon for a wedding, and in fairness it got us there with no real issues. However when we went for a run out, the return journey to the hotel was interesting to say the least. Roads so narrow and unused there was grass growing in the centre and bushes scraping down each side of my vehicle. It also seems to change the route at will with the message 'this route saves no time'. No it bleeding well adds time because the road it's chosen is so bad.
I've totally lost faith in this app,so much so that I've resurrected a 2016 vintage Garmin sat nav after trying other apps that somehow were even worse than waze.
For some unfathomable reason Waze often…
For some unfathomable reason Waze often chooses routes that are along very narrow unsuitable lanes with no possibility of passing vehicles coming from the opposite direction, not fun in my Aston. This has been the case in both the UK and France.
Why can't it have an option to stick to main roads?Besides, the lanes are so bad that it takes far longer to get where you want to go.
As a result, I no longer trust the app', apart from traffic reports for Police cash machine traps.
I like waze but the point system for us…
I like waze but the point system for us drivers who report etc doesn't get much in return. I'm suggestion for ranks we can earn coupons from local stores in our location. This way we ALL benefit, the driver, the local stores, the CEO for updating roadmaps etc.
WAZE – is it really worth it?
Travelling from Southampton to Stevenage at the start of the Jubilee weekend, leaving at about 5:15pm with radio reporting delays on M25 of up to an hour. So I stopped at Winchester services on the M3 to plot a new route.
Waze found me an alternative through Bagshot, Ascot, Windsor, Slough, Beaconsfield, Amersham and Chorleywood to the M25. It took me through long narrow lanes (despite telling it to avoid them in the settings) and two Slough industrial estates all in the name of saving time.
It has some good points; it warns me audibly of roadblocks and police traps, but these options aren't essential.
Don’t get me on the ads. Why does it matter to my journey which brand of petrol station I frequent?
Google Maps is a little less aggressive. It warns me of traffic delays, and would say something to the effect of “the alternatives aren’t much better”. It also offer alternatives en route.
Some people will say Waze is brilliant – I just found it hard work. If it saved me any time, it wasn’t more than a few minutes and I think I would have been no worse off sitting in the jam on the M25.
i have used it alongside my tomtom…
i have used it alongside my tomtom rider in a car
its better at finding specific company or shop names and the longer overall view allows better pre-planning
but...
the really stupid childish points system !!
this app is hosted and described by google who own it and will be utilising the data as there own ... as a community project ... each helping the other out with information about traffic jams and police presents which can mean incident or accident ahead ...
mind you the drivers not able to tell the difference between highways agency vehicles that guard you when broken down ( oh they dont carry any tools by the way ... im not a fan) and a police car makes it useless
meanwhile if you are stuck in an unexpected jam you can advice heavy traffic or really bad news like at a standstill ... and up pop free childish useless points !! ... and then suddenly if you adice too much that your at a standstill waze stops trusting your information and stops your points ie you giving useful information ... your sent to the naughty step for the rest of your journey .. so heaven forbid if you come across something really serious ... youre banned
ive informed waze of this ... and thats when ill agree the customer service team aren't worth diddly squat
so these days i just turn it off
which seems very un community to me and all over some ridiculous heroical points system
google being childish in a grown up world is quite sad dont you think ?
with barely any advertising ... the odd question pops up when stationary to block the screen view nicely so you are the price of a free lunch as in your data
Really excellent satnav
Really excellent satnav. An absolute lifesaver this morning when it managed to find a route home despite the Cambridge Half-Marathon having closed many roads between me and my destination. Also, unlike Google Maps, it works on my Android phone!
Better use google maps
I was a super user at the beggining when waze didnt have a lot of maps information, so i started exploring for them the streets that didnt existed in the app. my account had a lot of badges and i really enjoy using it. I had some years where I could not drive so i didnt use the app. when i came back to the app, the account was deleted and when contacting them, really never reply. Bad customer service and why they decided to delete such account. right now using it with another account you can notice that even Apple maps is better for navigation than waze.
can be suuuuuch a dumb app.
can be suuuuuch a dumb app.. suddenly changes route and makes you go in circles and wastes your time.. then sometimes it works ok
A cut above the rest for motorists
Waze is absolutely superb.
To all the people saying it is snooping and that Google Maps is much safer: Waze is owned by Google.
It has a proactive community that updates with warnings of breakdowns, for example, that are causing delays.
Waze will automatically use this info to change your route, ensuring you avoid delays.
You receive warnings of police speed traps, too, which can be handy if you're running a bit late and need to step on it.
Total rubbish super snooper
Total rubbish super snooper. Every time you use it it asks for more confidential data about you. None of which is required to find directions. The last one was my DOB...get stuffed waze. Soon deleted. Much better service on google maps and its free.
