World class customer service
World Duty Free has the best customer service I have ever come across. My parcel to them ( a return) was being held up by the courier company. World Duty Free- in particular Dave Shead, a person who does not know me, voluntarily contacted the courier company to determine what was happening. Not only that, he arranged a full refund to me without any guarantee that the parcel would ever arrive to him!! Absolutely outstanding service. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Excellent service by Katie
I had exceptional service today by a very knowledgeable young Lady Katie. There was a great range of products and she couldn’t do enough for me. I would recommend this shop and will be using it again when I next travel.
horrible
Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing to you regarding a purchase I made in London Airport.
My heart is bleeding, that how I feel. I am angry and frustrated.
Today I purchased an a hourglass eye shadow stick. I decided that I deserve something nice as I don’t usually purchase that cosmetics. It’s too expensive for me and I wanted to treat myself.
Now, while flying, I opened the package to find out that this has been totally damaged and probably the staff knew that, but they hoped whoever purchased to don’t oped it and checked.
And yea they sold this to me, naively I have never checked it.
I am extremely disappointed! I had a connection flight in London to Bulgaria. I was flying from Edinburgh today. I am not having any planned trips to return to London as my return flight is a direct flight to Edinburgh.
I want either full refund, either replacement of my item as this is not acceptable.
Look forward to hearing from you.

Great service
Purchased Prada sunglasses at Manchester airport The sunglasses warped within weeks. Contacted world duty free and within 3 days a refund was received. Very helpful and no issues at all
store staff rubbish
I've been waiting for half an hour to be attended to and still no one is coming, they didn't even put up a sign why no one is attending.
Product knowledge
Was travelling to Europe.Wanted to buy a travel adaptor .
Whomsoever I asked in the shop directed me to inmotion .
Although I bought it from world duty free only after searching for it myself.

Was sold the wrong box of perfume by an attendant, which I noticed moments later when I opened the box, and manager Harpeet refused to let me exchange because the box had been opened even though the perfume hadn’t been used and it was literally minutes since I purchased the perfume (that an attendant incorrectly sold me). Terrible customer service. Was duty free’s fault and Harpeet did nothing. Now I am out £111 and what am I supposed to do with a large perfume I won’t use? Harpeet needs lessons on customer service
Rude staff
Rude staff, moaning about using the testers available, but happy to lay layers of different perfumes on top of your existing one, some are stroppy when buying tobacco and cigarettes, they behave like they are working for the government excise and duty officers. Only one BIG outlet in the main area of the T2 terminal, the second one is 20 minutes away. Seen staff applying make-up using the testers available there - no wonder most are empty
Atrocious After Sales Customer Service.
I purchased a box of Lindt chocolates at World Duty Free shop, Terminal 2 Heathrow Airport. I changed my mind and when I went to return the chocolates, I was told that they cannot be returned to the shop and I would have to contact their Customer Service department online. This returns policy was not explained to me at the time of purchase. This returns policy is not displayed in the shop or on the receipt.
I contacted World Duty Free Customer service department online with all the details, a copy of my receipt and requested a refund. Their Customer Service Rep replied with a message "unfortunately, as per stated on the returns policy, we are unable to accept food items, please see below." The policy category the Rep highlighted in red was" All Liquor and Tobacco." I was shocked at the incompetency of World Duty Free staff member. Looking at the policy, almost all the items you buy are non-returnable. It appears once they've got your money, they don't care.
The customer needs to know BEFORE making a purchase what can and cannot be returned. This company is a rip-off company, please save your money and stay away from them. Absolutely disgusting!
Prices at Duty Free Philippines
Purchased a Biotherm Force Supreme Eye Serum 15ml at Manila Duty Free shop. Still wonder how possible considering the price and the poor conditions of the shop and the products offered. In fact, was charged Usd 102 equal to PHP 5,750. I checked and verified prices downtown Manila (duty paid) PHP 3.800 (before possible discount) or can buy at Shopee at PHP 2.366 (no shipment charges)! How possible that Duty Free Shops charge so high prices giving the idea they are DUTY FREE PURCHASING?
How well known brands accept this policy??

The tills are manned by extremely miserable staff who have obviously never received the basics of customer service training. Every time I go through this place it is the same shoddy, slow, unhappy process. Never a smile and whilst there are usually plenty of staff milling around most of them are not on the tills meaning it's always a slow process with long slow queues. I know you have a monopoly at Heathrow but no need to rub it in.

Pretty poor.
Pretty poor.
All round WDF just confuses its clients. I was searching for Courvoisier XO and a loch lomond 10 yr malt.
Now I was aware that this was a challenge at the Liverpool branch, but, after consulting their web site. WDF seemed to advise that both items were available to purchase at this store.
Not holding on to idea that I may purchase these items.
My fears were confirmed, not a hide nor hair of either.
Now for the sales assistance blurb when challenged as to why they were not in stock. They had sold out? Yes that does happen, what concerned me was that I’d consulted their web site 1 hour earlier and both were available.
Now in between the hour between them being both available and being sold. The staff had been to the stock room, found out non were left, so decided to re-stock the shelves with other items that were in stock.
Now what was odd, was that there were NO sales item description or prices displayed of the items that had just been sold. Nor was there any space where replacement items could be re-stocked.
So not wanting to endure any further of the ‘let’s pee down your back and tell you it’s raining routine’ I decided to throw in my hand and write this review.
WDF is a garbage French company. It’s expensive but when you do find a bargain it’s tough to buy.
What I think they want you to order and collect. After trying this method at Stansted airport in January I was left not a fan.
Basically, the duty free shops of old used to be great, now, I have real doubts.
Good luck.
Absolutely amazing service…
I’ve received an Absolutely amazing service from a specialist working on Tom Ford perfumes in Heathrow Terminal2. The lady was called Anna and she works for Odun Promotion. She was an absolute expert on helping me to choose the perfect fragrance. Thank you Anna.

Great to see really helpful staff who can see you're struggling with your little one. Cremilde and Diana were so helpful and brought the bag to the clinique counter indtead of making me work my way to the paument area. Thank you for making this part so easy!

Advertised price for perfume as £20 with 40% discount £14.57. When I i look paid receipt checked at £25. Staff member was rude and manager were accused me and changed the price tag in front of my eyes and other customer eyes wrongly quoted “ the law” regarding wrong prices , and deliberately attempted to delay my leaving to catch my flight they shouted and threatened me to leave the store as a Black British I feel proud not to be roud but respect others this are a bunch of gangsters who treated customs please be aware of this store in terminal 2 time - and begrudgingly refunded Won’t be using these rip off merchants again and suggest if you do that you check your bill carefully. 😉
Great service at Time for Shade (whinfell)
We visted the Time for Shade store at Whinfell Forest Center Parcs. My daughter was looking at the Ted Baker vanity cases which were in the sale in January. The lady in the store, Michelle, is great. She was really helpful, showing us the product and advising my 12 year old daughter about all the compartments, extra straps etc. she showed us different colours and was extra helpful. My daughter decided to use her Xmas money and buy one. Michelle made sure to give her a brand new unopened one and she was lovely throughout.
Excellent support when something goes wrong
Efficient and polite customer service when something goes wrong.
I purchased something from World Duty Free at Heathrow airport, arrived home and it was faulty. Contacted WDF as per info on the back of the receipt, packaged and returned the items to them and received a very polite email and a refund in less than 24hrs.
This will make me much more confident about buying from what seem like anonymous stores in airports.
