Prices HIGHER than retail!!

World Duty Free does NOT have good prices. I was completely ripped off and now trying to get a refund for the difference between price I paid at WDF and Retail is giving me a run-around. I will never ever shop here again! You are in a rush at airport but expect their prices are good but think again. I paid 30% higher than regular retail if you can believe it and didn't learn this until I got home and checked. If at least they stood by their customers and responded appropriately it would be ok, but just beware. NOT a deal at all.

Euro to Pounds RIP OFF
Made purchase on Calais to Dover ferry and expect to be charged an exchange rate fee but was not expecting to be charged an extra 15 percent just for paying in euros. Obscene Profiteering!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Do not buy booze if you need to change flights, no matter what you are told

I was looking through the store and a clerk asked if he could help me. I told him that I would love to purchase a bottle of Baileys, but since I had to change planes in Seattle (ending on Portland), that I didn't think it was allowed. He told me that the rules changed and that as long as I didnt open the specially sealed bag, there would be no problems. I reconfirmed with him and again told I would be able to get it home. When going through customs in Seattle. I was told I could not carry it through as only clear bottles are allowed and was forced to surrender my bottle. A complaint with Amex about the charge will follow as I was lied to. I am sure there is no problem if you don't need to transfer, but I trusted the clerk instead of my gut.

Scammed out of £78 at duty free

Scammed out of £78 at duty free. Took a bottle of perfume that I was given the price of £49.95 to the cash desk with 2 bottles of water . When it rang up it was £82.50 I challenged the guy helping to operate the self service check out and he said..they are always giving the wrong price. I said I don’t want it and he said ok I delete it. And seemed to and entered the water …but on,y the £82.50 remains on the card ! And world pay do not answer the phone ! What to do?

World of Duty Free Sucks

Literally just walked away from the Manchester terminal 2 shop after spending almost £150.00. Spent £90 on Gucci perfume and asked for a bag (paper bag with logo), nice young girl who was friendly handed me a bag slightly larger paper bag when the attendant from hell stormed over and snatched the bag out of my hand stating I was only entitled to the smaller bag and if I tried to take the bigger bag she would call security.
Stick your paper bag were the sun does not shine and I will not darken your door again.

Difficult refund experience

I used WeChat payment to pay at Heathrow Duty Free, WeChat payment has shown successful payment, but the duty free shop network is not good, the manager refused to give me the goods for the reason of not receiving the money at the moment, and promised to give me a refund within two days, but I waited for a long time and contacted the after-sales service many times but did not receive the refund, the amount of more than one thousand pounds is relatively huge, and also brought great inconvenience and psychological pressure to my life, I I needed this money to complete the payment of my grandmother's medical bills and the lack of prompt handling by the after sales staff has caused me extreme difficulties. I am now at my wits end and my money has not been received.

despite the fact its more expensive than buying from inside the city due to increasing prices less tax, but yet WDFG they promote the business at airports by VIP voucher, the irony their terms and conditions printed on the 20% voucher however their staff, will not award you the discount because they said so !!!
