This was a great course and I learned a lot. I think it is full of good info for a healthy over view. The main issues I have are `1. too many sales gimmicks for other courses. It makes me feel like I have been swindled. If it is really good it will sell itself without in your face advertising. 2. Toomany JK Rowling references. The fact is, most of us have no chance of obtaining her success. Whenever I see something that makes these claims or even semi-claims I get suspicious. 3. Some of the info doesn't apply to the U.S. and the market info is a little different.
If I took all of that out of the equation, I would say it was well worth the Groupon price I paid, perhaps up to 50.00 but not what the full price claim is. I could take a community college course for a whole semester for about as much as this course would cost full price.

Working through it little by little - seems very comprehensive & complete. Includes writing issues, publishing issues, and good, illustrative examples. Helps me to think about concepts I forgot about, and incorporate them into my own writings as I go. Very helpful.

This course is perfect for beginners who are wanting to be writers as it gives you a full insight of what is required from the creation to the publication. Totally recommend.

I have only completed the first session, but I was so impressed. I had started writing a children's book and realized after the first session, I needed to restart!! Thank you!

This program was very well thought out with the slides, illustrations, and "Me to You" style. I felt as if I was sitting in a classroom and taught by a very seasoned and professional teacher. I learned much more than I had anticipated about writing as well as becoming a writer. Although the instructions and points easily flowed, writing continues to be an overwhelming process. When I completed the 14 modules, I suddenly had the urge to want to re-read from the beginning because there is so much to absorb! These modules helped me to see what goes into writing- and all of the aspects. Thank you for opening my eyes...and creativity.

I was pleasantly surprised to begin learning new things right from the beginning of this course. I enjoy how the instructors have packed a lot of information into brief lessons (modules). As a visual learner, I find the graphics add to my enjoyment of the course. The multiple choice questions at the end of each module make me think. Sometimes more than one answer seems reasonable. I have to carefully consider which is best. Instant access to my grades and the correct answers for questions I didn't answer correctly is very helpful. I would recommend this course for those who want to write for children.

This program fell in my lap on Groupon. It was perfect timing for me, my learning center is slow in the summer, and I had time to really focus on this. I was amazed at the wealth of content, the creative and easy-to read format and the general professional nature of the program. I honestly felt like I was being mentored by one of the classic authors, insider tips all over the place. Now, if we can just get a few American references to replace the British ones, I'll add the 5th star. I am now planning to read through the modules a second time as I start to write. Here goes.....!

Wasn't sure of the company but once I started taking the lessons, I felt that it was the right move for me. I have learned a bit about different issues one might encounter in trying to write and feel more secure that I can at least do a more thorough job now.

Initially tried to apply each module to a completed mss. but that became confusing. I liked that I could download modules to my iPad for use at a later time when I am actually writing. Good solid information, well designed graphics, good powerpoint presentation. Clear and to the point. Good examples of the points made. Like the idea of taking a quiz with each module, gives closure and a good review of the material.

An excellent program for someone who is a good writer and interested in pursuing publication in children's books.

Thought you could do a better job on the handouts, attach to the appropriate lesson [you did do that twice--good job!]

I was a little skeptical at first and after doing research I found that it wasn't a scam of any sort. There was a groupon for 19 dollars for this online course. I believe it is well worth that 19 dollars. I'm not sure if i'd spend the full price on it but that could be because I just don't have that kind of money anyway. Overall I'd recommend this onilne course to anyone looking to expand their knowledge on writing childrens books. I am about half way through the course and havent come across anything that i've found unhelpful.

You have to read everything - No Narration of couse material, I Lost Interest and did not complete it. - Not worth the money!!

I have only finished my 1st module and I am satisfied with what I have already learned. If your a novice or an experienced writer I think this course can help improve your writing abilities. Would recommend it to anyone.

I really enjoyed this course! The information was very precise, informative and interesting. I can't wait to put what I learned to use and hopefully become a published author!

This is the finest course I have ever enrolled in. Usually I would start a course and take notes for the first two or thee modules, with this course I just couldn't get enough. Every tip was read numerous times, carefully constructed advise was taken to heart and I am motivated.
I am motivated to write, I am motivated to keep writing after being rejected and not many courses have that effect on me.

It's amazing

I'm very disappointed in this course. Not only does it look like it was written by different people (in places), but there are grammatical and punctuation errors, as well as "font stew" and inconsistent methods of identifying tips or applying emphasis. I have missed some of the content because bullets or paragraphs that fly in from the side are so delayed, I thought the page was finished. Other pages have font that makes it difficult to even read the information (generally on the overview pages). Further, as an American student, I find myself taken out of the content because of words specific to the UK (I presume) and not generally used in the US. As a result I end up wondering what certain phrases mean, and though I started out looking these up, it became very tedious and now I just write it off and skip over it. Yuck! Some of the content is good, but I was hoping for a more interactive experience, with some actual practice doing some writing. Very disappointing, overall.

This course is very good. It gives a nice, broad outline of everything you may need to know with plenty of detail included. I feel as though it has given me a good foundation to start with and now I just have to get on with plotting my novel.

As a beginning author/old writer, this course showed me ways to augment the story ideas I have in my head and how to organize things into a manner that leads to outlining, researching, questioning, and reviewing my writing ideas. I now have an outline developing on paper and a list of questions to research. As always with writers I am questioning my ideas as I move along with my story ideas.
I found some of the test questions to be very ambiguous with the given curriculum. Some of the questions can lead to a lot of questioning of what was learned in the unit. I think some of my answers were marked wrong when I marked correct answers. The certificate is ugly in black and white print. The majority of recourses are earmarked for British overseas students. They are less than helpful with an American student.
Overall I enjoyed this course. I would recommend this course to beginning writers.
