I am equipped to entertain.

I have already recommended this course to two aspiring authors. The course is easy to follow, and it is as entertaining as it is informative. It offers tremendous insight on the mental, physical, and emotional challenges we will face on the way to the best sellers' list!

Can't wait for the illustrator course!

Good stuff, especially the very interesting and helpful Module 14. A few typos along the way (I've learned to spot them), but the content is worth every penny. Bravo WSBFC, well done.

Heed contradictions in module 14

Finished the course with an overall average of 90%. Challenging at times were the references to UK terms and organizations etc. In Module 14 the print out "Ten Rules for Perfect Manuscript Presentation" has several contradictions to what the actual module relates. I believe should be adjusted so there is continuity in info. Module 14 was confusing as a result - especially in the beginning. In the end I passed the test for module 14 by the skin of my teeth but on all the others tested 90 and 100. I believe that was because of the confusion created by the contradicting info as noted above. The course was interesting overall and I learned a lot. Am grateful for the experience.

This course was excellent!

It was a fun experince taking this course, but the module presentations may need to be revised a little bit for grammar and spelling errors. It could throw some students off. Over all, it was a very creative course. It was a little weird for me because the creator assumed I was from the UK and I was at least a legal adult. I'm only sixteen and from America. This was a fun course and I would love to see the other available courses online. Thank you for this wonderful experience.

Great course to start the road to becoming a children's author

Really enjoyed the well planned out lesson modules. They expertly break down the critical points of each stage and each type of writing compositions. The lessons are set in a way that gets your creative juices flowing. Development of my characters began forming after completing the first few modules. I intend on subscribing to other courses they offer. I highly recommend this course for anyone needing a kick start in their writing journey.

good thorough course

Writing books for children was an enjoyable course
The modules were thorough and the tests at the end of each module ensured you had good understanding of the course. A good starting point for pursuing a writing career
Bad points -the internal server often crashed which was frustrating when trying to study

An informative course to get you started.

The material was very focused on UK, but as general information goes, it was quite good. Above all, it was motivational and I enjoyed the way it was put together; concise and pleasant.

I was rather hoping my certificate would have had my full name, but I wasn't asked before printing it.

Hot Diggity Dog

Amazing, outstanding, very informative and above all I learned a lot. I stumbled upon this course by accident or should I say faith, which ever I am glad I did. This course opened my eyes to a lot of things I wasn't aware of.

This course was well put together and I don't see anything that needs to be changed. To all the newcomers good luck in your writing.

It brought out the child in me!

I have always been creatively minded and had a desire to write but never knew where to begin. This course has taken me back to school, reminding me of the basics in structure and grammar but also encouraging me to be the best writer I can be. I now know how to order the plethora of ideas I have and how to tailor them to a given market. I understand the practicalities of writing better now and feel far less daunted by the prospect of submitting my work to publishing houses. The course is logical, insightful and motivational..thank you for sharing your knowledge and inspiring me to go for it!

I thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of this course.

I enjoyed every aspect of this course. I honestly wasn't sure what to expect when I signed up, but was quickly drawn in and enjoyed waking up every morning and starting my module. It provided me with such a vast insight into what the fine mechanics are to creating a children's book. I am so happy that I bought this course and would highly recommend it to anyone interested in the field of writing for children.

Worthwhile course. Lots of valuable information.

Good course for budding writers. I know that everyone has different needs when it comes to education and an online course must cater for everyone. I found myself rushing through most modules (speed reading) and hurrying the test just to get through to the next ones. This is because, for me, the value is in having the information available as reference. I am beginning a book for pre-teens and fully intend to follow the guidance regarding the crafting of my story and characters etc. Also, the advice on final presentation and how to approach publishers is of vital importance. The course is very good value for this alone. I have been published in the past (non-fiction) and I know that without the information contained here I would not stand a chance of breaking through in the fiction market.

I gave three stars because I prefer to have more 'bullet point' style information but I do still recommend for every amateur trying to break through. Good luck everyone.

Spur of the moment decision for on-line course

Site was easy to access, the presentations were well done and easy to follow. Breakdown of modules well done. Definitely make notes. I got good information. Wish I could have printed off the slides but can understand why. The course gave me the motivation (kick) I needed and a few ideas I'm ready to start on. Would recommend and interested in other courses i.e. illustration??

Great introductory course.

The course is perfect for anyone interested in writing for children. In order to pass the test at the end of each of the fourteen modules, I recommend taking adequate notes. Each module can be completed in under two-three hours. I found the information provided was worth the time investment.

A truly worthwhile investment!

When you are doing something for the first time, it can be daunting to know exactly how to begin. Writestorybooksforchildren.com has been invaluable to me in this area. It is helping me organize my ideas and thoughts into achievable tasks, making me feel like I can, in fact, accomplish my goal of writing a children's book. From inspiration to publication, the lessons outline the writing process in a clear, informative, and fun way. The helpful tips and techniques throughout the course have actually jump-started my creativity and are helping to take the mystery and fear out of the writing process.

The course has also given me a glimpse into the world of publishing including valuable do's and don'ts to help me deal with the publication process in a more thoughtful and professional way. Most of all, I love the fact that I have lifetime access to the information in the course and can refer to the techniques as often as I need to.

It is perfectly clear to me that getting a children's book published requires a lot of work, but after taking this course, I feel like I will be able to work smarter and greatly improve my chances for success.

My thanks to the creators of Writestorybooksforchildren.com. I think this will prove to be one of my most worthwhile investments.
