Bring a torch or headlamp!!

We visited here for 'Luminaire" -essentially a few illuminated wildlife scructures! It was very disappointing for £17 each. It was pitch black in the lakes and paths so u could see no wildlife!! And the 'hides' were locked and one route was completely closed off! So a real waste of money and a con

£60 parking charge

We visited the London Wetland Centre in July. I purchased my tickets and was told that the cost of parking was included. The reception staff at the Centre told me to enter my car registration number in the parking machine in reception, which I did. To my surprise, a few days later I received a parking fine of £60 from the company who operate the car park. I queried this with the Wetland Centre and they told me they never heard of anything happening like this before. I appealed the parking fine and produced my tickets as proof of payment. No surprise I still had to pay the £60. This was a very expensive visit, one I will not repeat and want to warn others to beware. The Wetland Centre's attitude was hands off, it was nothing to do with them.

Nice place with wildlife

Lots of birds, very cozy and calming places.
Inexpensive tickets and membership, fair policy even in COVID times. For example reduced prices for non-members because of closed some parts. Or even in lockdown they have same pool of tickets for members and not members - no discrimination and situations like you can't use membership, but you can pay for a full ticket.
