Janet and Tosh made our move run as smoothly as possible. The move was a difficult one because we were relocating from Lancashire. Tosh is there at the drop of an hat to deal with any minor issues and nothing is too much trouble. He called in ever few days after the move to make sure everything is ok. So massive thank you to Janet and Tosh for helping us along the way. Sam and Marie
Appalling aftercare
Been in our home at Coniscliffe Rise for approaching 2 years with essentially none of our snagging work completed. Aftercare seems to be non-existent with Wynyard Homes. The communication is poor with emails mostly ignored. Site manager is rude and seemingly unwilling to help with any issues. We were promised that all problems identified would be dealt with prior to moving in, however, this was far from the truth. Avoid this company at all costs.
I can honestly say I have never dealt…
I can honestly say I have never dealt with a company that doesn’t care about taking your money and leaving you with a half built home.
For 3 months I have rang, emailed, phoned about the issues with our bungalow at Dalton piercy and no one comes to fix the problems.
Unfinished kitchen, green slimy patio,no bin area, scratched windows, leaking guttering paintwork shocking, chipped and split doors, chipped sink extras we paid for not working and the oven and microwave isn’t fitted in the housing unit which fell on me last week whilst cleaning it and cut my hand and bruised all my leg where it fell.
This house is a safety issue and I am now seeking solicitors advice as our dream home is nothing but a constant nightmare so please do not touch with a barge pole as your dreams will be shattered and you will be left with hovel stay away pictures on request it’s disgusting 😡
Avoid
The sales advisor named Liegh at the Coniscliffe Rise office was so rude, snotty and very condescending. I would have purchased a home if there was a lovely, welcoming and helpful sales advisor working for your team. Extremely bad experience. I never leave reviews, but this was shocking. You lost a customer.
Awful customer service and price increases
Looked at buying a plot on the dalton piercy development. Advised by Elaine (sales rep) the price for the bungalow we were interested in was £280k. Four people present who all heard the price given. We put our house up for sale then found out the price given was incorrect and had increased by £20k. We removed our interest and informed head office. My wife then received an aggressive phone call from Elaine the sales rep full of attitude calling us liars about the price given. Why on earth would we make that up? On that basis our house was put up for sale and a mortgage in principal received. We quickly removed the sale of our house before even more grief was caused. The most unprofessional sales rep we have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. We would never consider buying from this developer in the future. Thanks for wasting our time and money.
AVOID!
Never ever buy a house with these cowboys. I wanted a dream home and instead I'm left with a nightmare. Been here 18 months and still half of the jobs haven't been completed. Site staff talk to you like rubbish when you get on to them about completing jobs. We have had problems with leaking windows, crumbling plaster, our kitchen floor isn't level. Broken garage door. Interior Doors won't shut which I have pointed out this is a fire hazard. Having problems with shower and toilets. Drain problems, honestly the list is endless, they are friendly till you sign on that dotted line and take your money and then they are no where to be seen.
Great homes, poor after sales care.
We purchased our home 3 years ago, the buying process was great with the sales person (Joanne) we received lots of extras with our plot being one of the first with Wynyard Homes instead of Seneca, once we moved in this is were the problems started with our living room being much colder than any other room in the house, extra blown insulation was added, skirting boards attempted to be sealed with silicone, a year went by and still no improvement we had to raise a claim with Premier Guarantees to get an independent survey carried out this showed the incorrect style flat roof had been installed (Cold style instead of the specified Warm Style) Wynyard Homes continued to carry out remedial works adding extra plaster board, increased insulation to the roof space and facia ventilation all still at odds with a warm style roof and not improving the draughts in the roof and room, works were again carried out Summer 2020 and found that there were gaps to the added insulation as well as large holes between the block work, when the facia was reinstalled this was installed short and not to the specification of all other Windermere style homes, in what can only be described as the biggest bodge a large gap was filled with copious amounts of silicone, this will now need to be repaired and made good by a competent and professional roofer at a cost to ourselves as all trust has gone with the builder who have said no more works will be carried out to the roof as enough money has been spent on it, if you consider buying one of these homes please get it inspected by a professional snagging company, every time we carry out some new jobs we find things that would have been picked up by them.
Appalling customer care and general lack of care in their work
we bought a home 3 years ago and to say the service has been terrible is an understatement we've had continual problems with a roof that we had to go to the guarantees company to push to get something done and time after time it has been bodged up people on site have ended up paying to get their problems fixed as so drained from fighting with them even the office staff have no care about the customer and today I had the site manager say we had tampered with part of our roof and he wasn't going to do anymore and we were talking bulls**t and walked away. The state they have left a repair in is worse than any DIY job I would of done. Wouldn't advise anyone to buy a home from them!
Neighbours have had to have whole floors lifted and replaced after being told that they had lifted tiles on purpose. Others went to have carpets changed and found waste pipes in their livingroom. Some neighbours haven't been able to use their downstairs toilets as water comes up through their sinks no air admittance valves have been installed! Its just a big farce.
