I placed a large order for outdoor Christmas lights through XmasDirect. The staff went above and beyond to help me find the right type of light needed for my retail Christmas tree shop. XmasDirect have everything Christmas you could ever want or need for this festive season. I will most definitely be returning back to them next year.

Bought external lights and paid £12 for next day am delivery as I needed to do them on that specific day. Nothing turned up! email to say I assume I will get the £12 back as not delivered on time. just a short email stating you ordered on a Saturday so we wont ship until Monday and you SHOULD get Tuesday! do not use! zero customer service. the website states next day with no mention of only a 5 day service! very misleading, don't use!

Ordered three sets of spare Christmas tree light bulbs last week. Needed them to be with me asap so spoke to a lovely lady called Verity in their customer care dept. Fantastic service, friendly, efficient and got my lights to me the next day.

The Christmas Lights (Connectable Mains Voltage Multi Colour Festoon Lights - Opaque Globe Bulbs) for outdoor arrived as quoted and we've tested them. They work well giving a cosy warm colourful light. I'm very happy.

I have used the Pro lighting system in my garden for five years. Xmasdirect is an efficient and friendly company to deal with. My email queries have also been answered promptly. Delivery is fast and lights are always well-packaged. The lighting string seems robustly constructed and produce a good light with minimal energy usage. My entire garden lighting (several hundred LED bulbs) consumes less electricity than a conventional !00 W incandescent bulb.

The Pro lighting is the best outdoor system I have been able to find on the market, but it is not perfect. If I leave the lighting strings out in the garden, over a couple of seasons there are usually a few bulb failures when I turn the lights on again at Christmas time - my experience is that about 5% of the bulbs fail over the period of a year if the lighting string is left outdoors. So, I now store the lights indoors until the following Christmas.

There is also a design fault with the lighting system. The fuse (3A) in the plug should really fail before the in-line rectifier. Otherwise, I need to obtain a new mains lead if the rectifier blows (as happened to me once in five years when water got into one of the connectors).

In summary, an excellent company, good product, but with room for improvement.

Be very careful, failure rate Pro after 12 months 3weeks use, it appears rain enters the rear of the led. Fails.

Not repairable.

Complained at the time told over 12 months no warranty. The fact few weeks use no matter.
I understand xmas direct have tried to improve sealing method but expensive, and is it worth the risk.

My experience is historical but does not effect the problem and unsympathetic handling of complaint at the time. Probably better to buy cheaper lights and accept you chuck them away as I have had to do with the pro lights anyway.

First set of very poor quality festoon lights, 240m, didn’t work and ruined an event for our guests! Poor quality customer service and response from the company followed. We then ordered the pro series which arrived with no power lead ruining yet another event. Again, poor customer service and no offer of compensation..!
Poor quality products, from a poor and unprofessional company..! Steer well clear!!!!

Very disappointed with the 2 plain garlands I received. On the website pictures the garlands looked thick and bushy. I unpacked them and was so upset by the quality. They are scrawny and look awful. I wish I had read Trustpilot because then I would have realised Xmas direct is a very poor company selling very poor quality merchandise.

Local council supplied our shop with lights and Christmas tree from XmasDirect. What a great gesture we thought - helping the high street with festive decorations. Unfortunately the connectors on the lights were totally incompatible with each other so we couldn't connect the lights. We contacted Xmasdirect direct but despite the fact their details, website etc were emblazoned on them, they weren't remotely interested in the fact that they had sold a product that was totally useless. We contacted our local council. Their workman kindly came with a second set of lights and tried to install them for us. Again, the connectors didn't match. The council had clearly bought a job lot of faulty lights from Xmas direct. They were clearly ripped off and Xmasdirect were laughing all the way to the bank. Avoid this company and go elsewhere. Local Councils take note, don't waste your money with this bunch.

Bought 11 sets/strings of outdoor LED festoon lights from them - looked great at first. However some sets blew bulbs within a few months, which they did replace. But now the replacement sets have multiple bulbs either out, flickering or very dimmed, along with another 2 sets. Cheaply made product which is clearly not fit for purpose…. We’ve contacted them 3 times and had no response. Yet the lady at customer service told me last year that “All of our products are built to last many years and come with a 12 month warranty”…. great, if they can be bothered to deal with their customers. Awful. Avoid.

I bought some outdoor festoon lights from this company and the lamps they use operated at a non standard voltage, (not that they made that clear at the time). 14 months after my purchase I asked them to supply some replacement lamps at my cost, but they said they no longer supply this product and it is impossible to get any new lamps for it. They were totally unhelpful when I asked them for help telling me to go elsewhere for the lamps.

After 10yrs we decided to replace our Xmas Direct outdoor lights. For the last four years they were left up, outside in all kinds of weather and still worked perfectly but we decided to change from warm white to ice white. I contacted the company who were able to locate my previous order and send me the same again in the ice white. Lights arrived very quickly. Really great quality and they look fantastic. The gutter hooks work a treat and made putting them up quick and easy. They might not be the cheapest lights, but when they happily last ten years the price is well worth it.

Bought a string of 60 Festoon LED lights before Christmas last year costing over £100. Put them on our tree outside for Christmas over a 3 week period and then stored them away indoors. Just taken them out to decorate the tree & found that 11 bulbs are not working.
Emailed customer services and explained that even though the lights are a few months over the 1 year guarantee, we,ve only used them once.
They refused to replace them but offered a discount on our next set costing £139 (after discount!).
By all means buy from xmas direct, but be prepared for your lights to fail so you'll have to buy exactly the same lights next year! Not my idea of Christmas Spirit!

I have eleven strings of 100 LEDs and only two strings work properly.
The product is just not durable from year to year and I will be throwing away another five springs this year.
Not good value which is a shame as when they work they look tremendous.
I will not buy any more.

I recommend Xmas Direct wholeheartedly. Their products are excellent. I have two sets of outdoor lights which are soon to shine on their fourth Christmas. No big deal, you may think - except that these lights are strung through apple trees in an exposed West Coast of Scotland garden. Rain and wind have had no effect - the lights have been switched on continuously for three years and eleven months. I think this is remarkable because no other lights have lasted more than a couple of months.
