Poor Experience – Repeated Bids, No Follow-Through

I’ve had a frustrating experience with this garage. They placed bids to buy my vehicle on multiple occasions but then cancelled the order, after asking for collection details, without any explanation or communication. It’s incredibly unprofessional to show interest, win a bid, and then back out without so much as a message.

On top of that, after my experience, I looked into other reviews and found several complaints from people who purchased vehicles from this garage only to discover major mechanical issues soon after. This raises serious concerns about their overall reliability and transparency - both as buyers and sellers.

Wasted my time and made the selling process more stressful than it needed to be. Sellers and buyers alike should proceed with caution.

Lack of professional responsibility

Deeply disappointed with this establishment's response to unprofessional conduct.

An apprentice from this garage told me to "F Off" while on their premises during business hours (5:25pm, five minutes before their posted closing time).

Upon raising this issue formally with management, they repeatedly denied responsibility and changed their story with each communication.

First claiming it was "outside working hours," then that the employee had "finished his shift," and finally disputing whether he was on their property.

At no point did they address the actual inappropriate behaviour or show any concern for how their staff represents their business. Their unwillingness to acknowledge basic accountability speaks volumes about their management practices.

I cannot recommend a business that demonstrates such poor customer service ethics and a lack of professional responsibility.

CROSS ROADS GARAGE (Prestwood) - AVOID!

Known as CROSS ROADS GARAGE (Prestwood).
DON'T BUY HERE! Imho Bogus MOT, and NO REFUNDS. Worst garage I have ever dealt with. Bought Vauxhall Corsa for son. Problems within first week. Aircon, heating and lighting problems.
Had to keep taking it back to be fixed. Turns out there's no fixing, just botching.
Then battery failed, that was supposed to be new?
Then coolant kept going down and my son watched aghast as it was topped up with kettle water.
The MOT they allegedly did wasn't worth the paper.
Then engine top end went on the motorway in the middle of night so had to be rescued by police and then AA. Garage claimed it was a tappet issue and again botched it.
Eventually went back leaking oil everywhere and they admitted engine was f*****. The amount of time the car was in the garage was ridiculous. The lies and promises unbelievable. Son barely got to drive car, and was petrified of the thing in the end.
Refund talk was snuffed out. Not fit for purpose. That includes the garage and owner. Darren Yeates.
I know it's was a used car but, noone expects perfect, but save yourself the heartache.
Waiting for the b s response that gaslights the customer now...
