Yale Door 

Because I trusted the Yale brand I ignored the more negative reviews and gave them an order. Big mistake. The installation was problematic with the sub-contractors having to reluctantly come back and re-adjust the locking mechanism but the main problems have been the hairline scratches on the door skin and serious gouges appearing on the letterbox flap caused just by usual day to day activity. This is a black door and I presume the scratches would not appear on, say, a white door.
Yale Door have responded by sending me a touch-up kit for the scratches which I doubt will restore the door to it's pristine state and having a replacement letterbox flap sent to me from the manufacturers. Time will tell whether this will resolve the problems.
Yale's 10 year guarantee is, as far as I can see, pretty well worthless as they have refused to resolve the scratching problem satisfactorily and I am now left with a door which looks tatty and which could have been purchased from someone like Wickes at a much lower price.
Shame the Yale brand has become besmirched in this way. I shall be telling all my social media contacts not to touch them. I am also a subscriber to Which? who will no doubt be very interested to hear of my experiences.

Arranged a surveyor visit in December for early January. Surveyor was booked for a 9-12 visit. Received a call at 11:30 frin the surveyor say he would be about another 3 hours!!!
Did he not realise this earlier. I had taken the day off and rescheduled other appointments. I asked the surveyor to come after 4 pm to which he replied I'll be on my way home!!
Called the office and spoke to Customer services and they were pretty much useless saying the surveyor was stuck in traffic. Really? for over 3 hours?!
They also said the surveyor would call me back to arrange another visit, waited till 5:30pm and still no call.
I concluded that should things go wrong, as the seem to with Yale doors! then I'd have a lot of hassle resolving this.
I've decided to use a more reputable company that has a better customer service standard than Yale doors.

I would AVOID this shambles of a company!!

I have had nothing but problems with my Yale Door !!
Ordered door in July 2015, I've now had 3 complete doors and frames fitted, with at least 8 visits from different fitters.
I can say my experience with Yale Doors has been an absolute nightmare, nothing but problems, from wind blowing through the closed door, rain pouring through the glass panels, and letter box leaking.
I've even had fitters turn up and tell me that Yale Doors are Rubbish !! That fitter came back 3 times to try and put various problems right, but all to no avail still leaking door and frame.
In mid December 2015 Yale arranged another door and frame, telling me they had changed door manufactures and I should have no problems with this new door and frame !
Yet another fitter turned up did a good job with fitting the new door and frame, then we had our first rain on the door, yes you can guess what happened next, water pouring through the glass panels, and through the letter box, also water coming in through the bottom of the door frame.
Also the glass panels I ordered were wrong they sent plain glass and I ordered privacy glass, I rang Yale Doors to report the new problems of water coming into my house, to be told sorry we can't do anything until the New Year as the factory is closed and all the fitters are not working until New Year, so I've had nearly 2 weeks of rain pouring into my hallway and soaking into the skirting boards and plaster board.
I'm writing this on the 4th January 2016 and still not heard anything from the fitters as to when they might turn up.
So I'm not a happy customer, in fact I'm absolutely disgusted in the way Yale Doors have dealt with my ongoing issues.
I would never buy any Yale Doors again and I would urge anybody looking for a new door to give Yale Doors a miss.

Very straightforward from ordering to fitting

I tried a few of the more popular glazing companies and wanted to charge me an £1000 compared to Yale's £15.

The service I received from start to finish was professional and friendly and I'm extremely satisfied with the service I received and the key free door looks and works great despite other companies saying a would have problems with it.

From the moment I spoke to Suzanne in sales I felt in safe hands. She was patient,knowledgeable and thorough. We chose a key free and we all love it. I think it was one of the best purchases I have ever made. It enhances our house and as a family of key losers(hopefully not a family of losers!) it has been such an asset. It is a conversation starter ,as visitors are fascinated. Looks smart and we would all recommend the system. Thanks Yale Door !

After trolling through pages of sites looking for a new door i decided to go with Yale as the site was very easy to use seemed to be no gimmicks. Read the step by step guide from designing your door to instillation. Can i say that every step was matched as advertised from start to finish. The staff online are very polite and helpful. The girl i spoke to said the price you are given on line is the price you will pay,and so it was. The fitter called on time and arrived on time for survey, Everything i had put on my design was double checked. I payed for my door and waited a call for fitting and as told by the fitter and sales team the door arrived on time =. The fitter called and arranged to fit the door at a time that suited my diary. The fitter arrived and got to work straight away and did not stop till the job was complete and he done an outstanding job. I'm very pleased with the service of the staff at Yale and the fitter of my door that is outstanding quality..Many thanks for a stress free purchase and install

We were really impressed with the efficiency in which our order was dealt with.
What a fab idea not having a salesperson taking up two to three hours of our evening. We chose the door, colour and furniture on line, the price popped up so we had an instant quote instead of having the big sell. Very good price for the quality of door, door furniture and workmanship. After placing the order, the local surveyor contacted us and arranged a 30 mins check on the existing door frame etc, Nice chap, very courteous.
A couple of weeks after that the door had been installed by another local chap. After a couple of cups of tea and biscuits we had a fabulous new door. Over the moon with it so thank you Yale Doors., will definitely use you again and have been singing your praises to all our friends and family.

Two years ago we replaced our front door with a Yale door. We chose Yale based on the reviews they were getting at the time. We looked at a number of alternatives but settled on Yale after we had a call from one of their representatives to see if we had any questions about the product.

That level of service continued throughout the process.

Last month we replaced our back door with a Yale and the level of service continued.

In both installs the installers were punctual and neat. The fitters that installed the back door even adjusted the front door a little now that it had time to settle on it's hinges.

Great product. Excellent value and very good service.

After looking around for the best company to fit our 2 doors we decided to have Yale as we thought they seemed like a trusted reputable company and were backed by Barclays finance. How wrong we were! A year later and we were still trying to sort the problems out, both doors we had were fitted poorly with drafts. We ended up having the front door refitted 3 times with a new frame and the side door was refitted twice. My husband had to take time off work to be here when the surveyor attended and when the doors were refitted. We were promised the cost of fitting to be reimbursed because of the inconvenience caused but when I asked about this recently we were told we were not going to receive any payment. We had also paid extra for a surveyor to come out and measure correctly yet the doors still had to be refitted 3 times. There never seems to be the same staff we had different fitters every time and seemed to speak to different people in customer service. There is no continuity of care. Do not use Yale doors I wish we hadn't and I certainly would never recommend them. In fact I advise family and friends not to use them. I feel it is totally unacceptable that we were promised a payment for the inconvenience over the year that has never materialised.

Quite easily the worst company I have ever dealt with - avoid them at all costs. Very expensive, delivery takes forever, the doors are of poor quality and their customer service is a joke. Save yourself from making a very expensive mistake.

Update - due to Yale continuing to say that their poorly made door is a 'warranty' issue and conveniently not covered by their warranty on this occasion, I have been required to take the matter to the Small Claims Court. I would recommended that other customers experiencing similar treatment do the same.

Note to Yale - if you make a door with a fault on it, it is not a warranty issue, it is a poorly made door with a manufacturing defect.

I ordered my door with key free through yaledoor.co.uk before reading the reviews. I was extremely nervous and to be honest shouldn't have been. The door is of high standard. The installers gave me plenty of notice to the date of installation. They stayed in contact via text which was great. If i'm being picky, the sealant around the door frame outside could have been neater but it wasn't any worse than how the original door was done. The installer gave me a lesson on the how the key free system works. Would recommend.

Absolutely fantastic experience. We always delayed getting a new front door as we thought it would be too much rig moral. We were searching the Internet and came across Yale. Designed our door, submitted for measuring up etc. Very professional and Friendly guy came and measured etc. Followed by a very helpful phone call from customer service. Payment all agreed and within days a date was booked for the door. Could have been easier and such friendly staff. We love our new front door. Thanks Yale

When choosing a front door you can be spoilt for choice and its about knowing where to start.We were impressed by Yale's website and their "build your own door" facility.Once we had made our choice and put our order in we were dealt with quickly and efficiently,we were never under pressure to buy "add ons" we didn't need and a guy was sent out at our convenience to do a quick measure up and estimate.We were booked in within 2 weeks for the actual fit and on the day the weather was totally against us but the 2 fitters arrived and got stuck straight in,they were very pleasant and professional and took away our old door and left no mess whatsoever.We are really pleased with our new door which has transformed the look of our house.....should we need any door related products in the future,we won't hesitate to contact Yale and recommend others do too........Well Done!!

Yale doors are perfect. Fitter was extremely helpful, informative and efficient. Loved the ability to build door online. Telephone staff are incredibly polite, helpful and professional, Highly impressed with quality of doors and the short time between order and fitting. Would (and have) recommended to others, you will not be disappointed.

Easy to order with helpful telephone support. Very good value and happy with the quality. Why is it so hard to get offset lever-lever handles though. The pads look bad and are hard to use. Had to order these from the Web separately. Also the house numbers supplied don't fit on the frame.

Excellent install, the lads did a cracking job on the day and I would thoroughly recommend Yale to anyone wanting a new door.
