A good instrument as always, the craftsmanship is excellent

Hassan was so accommodating throughout the entire purchase of this instrument. So generous with his time, explaining in detail how he designed and made it… demonstrating in store… an excellent musician too.

The ordering process was really straightforward and Hassan kept in contact -supplying me with the tracking order number and was available for any questions I had whilst I was back in London. The instrument arrived a week later, perfectly packaged in a wooden box followed by the Guembri gig bag. I’d recommend Hassan and YellowWorkshop to anyone either travelling through Essaouira or looking to be an authentic, handcrafted Guembri. The sound and quality of the craftsmanship is a solid 10/10 from me - I can’t wait to get recording with this one!

I want to write about how great my experience was with Hassan , all questions asked were answered promptly, I got the instrument that I needed for a great price and also delivered in a timely manner . I highly recommend Hassan’s business .

This is the second guembri that Hassan has made for me. Both times Hassan is truly excellent in his craftsmanship and also his customer-service and communications. He is a musician that is also a maker of very fine instruments, and I believe his musicianship makes him such a great maker. I am proud to have these two instruments and to be able to play them, and also happy that Hassan continues to build these. Also, I requested additional strings and a strap, which all arrived incredibly well-packed in a custom wooden box and wrapped to protect from the elements. There will never be a risk of damage to his guembris in this packaging, unless run over by a train!

I bought a small guembri "aaouicha" to take company to my bigger guembri from the same creator Hassan from Yellowworkshop, delivery was fast and secure, everything was fine, and the guembri was incredible!

I recently called Maalem Hassan to craft a Guembri for me with some specific requirements. Having seen his videos on YouTube where he tests the instruments he builds, I was already impressed by the craftsmanship and quality of his Guembris. As someone who plays Gnawa music and has tested many other Guembris, I can confidently say that the one Maalem Hassan made for me is the best I’ve ever played.
I feel a deep connection with this instrument. When I play it, it responds perfectly to my tone and style. The quality and resonance are exceptional, making each session a true pleasure.

I discovered Hassan's work for the first time via Instagram. I loved his work and his website where you can see the different Guembris he has made and listen to them.
I spoke to him and ordered two guembris, one for me and one for a friend. Hassan was very professional, answering all my questions and taking into account even my most specific requests. Hassan then started making the guembris and sent us photos and information every step of the way, which was very much appreciated. Once the two guembris had been made Hassan sent us videos of him testing the two instruments to see if they were suitable for us. In fact, the instruments corresponded perfectly to what we'd asked for and they were extraordinary. Finally, Hassan sent us the instruments securely by post with a tracking number so that we could follow them until they arrived. To sum up, our experience with Hassan was excellent and we're very happy with our beautiful Guembris which sounds amazing. We recommend Yellow workshop without a second thought. Thank you Hassan!

Hassan is a very good builder of musical instruments. The communication was always quick and very friendly. We did everything with whatsapp, and the guembri arrived on time and is great to play

I met Hassan while traveling in Essaouria this past August. His instruments and passion for them were stunning! I purchased a guembri for my husband who plays guitar. I live in the US and Hassan kept me updated on the shipping progress. It arrived quickly and in perfect condition. I gave it to my husband for Christmas - who was blown away by the quality and depth of sound of the instrument. It was the best gift ever and Hassan’s pride of craftsmanship and fantastic communication throughout the process made it a fantastic experience all around. Highly recommend!

I wanted several things for my Gumbri and Yellow Workshop said no problem. But what really made them stand out was showing me options and making sure in each phase of construction they were making the Gumbri I wanted. Packaging and shipping were fantastic.

I bought a wonderful gimbri from the Yellow workshop, Hassan was very thoughtful he was in touch and provided photos of the package and tracking numbers, delivery was perfect and the instrument is just wonderful. Beautifully made and it sounds incredible.
