Yelp continues to allow random people…

Yelp continues to allow random people that have NOT ever done business with our company to post to a Yelp Page that we dont even want. They refuse to do anything about it stating they cannot prove this is not a real experience. How dumb is that. Customer claiming we did business in a state and area we dont even service at an auction that we also dont service.

This is the worst service I have ever…

This is the worst service I have ever dealt with. All they want is your money. They have aggressive marketing — they were calling me nonstop during the first months trying to sell their useless services. I regret that I ever signed up here. I didn’t even use this platform, and after a few months I logged in and saw a 1-star review on my company SAM Service LLC. The person claimed they worked with me and that I replaced their furnace, but I have no idea who that is. I checked my records and found no proof that I ever worked with this client — this could easily be a fake review from competitors.

But the most interesting part started after that. Since people see that 1-star rating when searching my company, I tried to fix the situation and asked clients to leave reviews. Around 3 clients left 5-star reviews, and then I logged in and saw that Yelp removed them, saying they were “too good.” Later another client left a review, and after some time Yelp removed that one too.

I tried to change my company name and just forget about this service, but they didn’t even allow that. You can’t delete your business from their site — it will stay there with a 1-star rating, just marked as closed.

This company is like a racketeer who tries to squeeze money out of you and follows you everywhere, not letting you live your life — you walk out of your house in the morning and it’s already there, waiting for you and following you.

This is a service of low ratings — they think 1 star is fair for you, but 5 stars are not, and they will remove those reviews. Do not make my mistake — do not deal with this scam company.

I find yelp to be disingenuous

I find yelp to be disingenuous. They had removed several of my reviews which were critical of businesses , because the business complained. In other instances, they claimed that I had no firsthand interaction with the business, which was patently false! In still other instances, when I left a negative review for a business, the business would respond in kind by posting multiple positive reviews for their business, which were clearly false as prior to my leaving my negative review the only other review for that business was 18 months old. All of a sudden they have multiple positive reviewed posted on the same day? I call BULLSHIT! I then posted a few more negative reviews using other email accounts. Yelp responded by closing my account, saying I violated their policies. When I brought the fact that the business clearly fabricated multiple positive reviews in order to counter, my one negative review, yelp couldn’t care any less. No, they deleted my account, but they left the business owners, false positive reviews up. Therefore, I’ve concluded that all yelp reviews are shit and cannot be trusted.

Charging credit card after cancel. Robo marketing

The minute my add went live I wAs bombarded with marketers for Google from every state in USA. Of coarse this is charged to my account and I had the feeling it was yelp sales that instigated or made it happen so commissions would go up. In writing 48 hrs over 100 calls trying to sell me on use ng them as advertising. I was forced to cancel yet yelp charged my credit card after shutting adds off. Add was not on and still charging me. I had to cancel my card. Got no responses from yelp when trying to address the issues. Find another advertising campaign yelp is bad news.

AmerFlow technician

Had a problem with a leaking water softener. Called and made an appointment for from 2 to 4 today. At 3:45 I called company and they said tech was done for the day. Told me they would try to reach him and call me back. Went out front door to find a bill from the company that problem was fixed and that "homeowner was not home." I called again and how the problem got fixed without me being home since the water softener is in my garage. They said garage door was open so they just did it. Two cars and an open garage door and they never knocked on my door? I have two dogs they would have been loud if he had knocked. Said he tried to call me but couldn't get ahold of me. Again why call when you can knock on the door? Asked them to have a "tech manager" call me tomorrow and was told "they don't call customers." The more I talked to the receptionist the madder I got. Worst customer service I have ever experienced

Unacceptable Quality Control and…

Unacceptable Quality Control and Dismissive Support from Seiko
I purchased a Seiko automatic watch on January 4th. After barely two months of normal daily wear, it began losing 10–15 seconds per day. I wear the watch all day, every day, so lack of wrist movement is not the issue.
When I contacted Seiko, I was told the solution was to “shake the watch 30 times every morning.” That response is not only dismissive — it’s an admission that the product is not functioning as it should. No new automatic watch should require a daily shaking ritual to stay accurate.
This is a clear quality‑control failure paired with customer service that avoids responsibility instead of addressing the defect. I expected far better from a brand that claims to stand behind its craftsmanship.

Byer BEWARE BANKERS LIFE IS A SCAMER INSURANCE COMPANY!!

Byer BEWARE! This company is a scam. They are in Roseville. In 2021, I purchased a Policy with Bankers Life insurance. I was sold a Whole life policy. I spoke with the person who has been fired! And I signed and wet-signed the documents while this person sat in my home. Today I was called and told I surrendered the policy. I was sent a policy that said I signed. I have been making my payments, but it turns out I was sold a policy that is a scam; they put together some crazy document that is not what I purchased. They are still collecting my premiums, but I don't have a policy

Suspended From Yelp for Writing an honest review.

I wrote a very honest review of an individual who is running a business dishonestly. When he couldn't get a permit because he lacked the necessary license in Massachusetts; He became hostile and belligerent and threatened to sue me for breach of contract, slander, defamation of character and anything else he thought was appropriate. He posted that as a response to my review. I have the letter from the Town of West Springfield detailing his attempts at trying to put one over on the Town. So what does YELP do. They suspend me and keep him. So much for fairness in reviews. As an added bonus YELP you have over 3000 complaints on file for suspensions without reason on the BBB. P.S. I don't want my account back now that I( know they suspended the wrong party.

Hertz Rent A Car

Hertz Rent A Car - I rented from Palo Alto CA to Stockton CA. When I got to Stockton, apparently the agent in Palo Alto made an error and put that I was supposed to return the car to Palo Alto. The manager of the Stockton store told me it would be another $150. She said if I didn't like it, I could drive back to Palo Alto and discuss it with that agent. I paid the bill, called a taxi to take me back to my car. I later called Hertz company and complained and I did get an immediate refund of the $150 but the customer service in Stockton was horrible. That person who said she was the manager should be fired. I'll never rent another car from Hertz.

Concerns About Review Transparency and Fairness and Disappointing Experience with Biased Review Filtering

This company feels like a scam and fishy, as it's trying to get more money from businesses. I run a computer business, and my customers have left 18 reviews till now. 17 of them are 5-star ratings based on their genuine experience with my work. However, within a few days, most of those reviews were moved to the “not recommended” section on their website.

When I contacted them, they said it’s their automatic system designed to filter out fake or solicited reviews. But interestingly, the one 1-star review is still visible and considered “recommended.” When I questioned this, they again said it was due to their automatic filter and claimed that review was from a “real” person, while others might not be.

They also told me they couldn’t do anything about it unless I subscribe to their paid service, suggesting I might get more support if I pay. Until then, they said nothing can be changed. And wants me to pay almost $200 and more for their services.

This feels very suspicious—especially when genuine customer reviews are being filtered out while a negative one remains. Even if my customers submit reviews themselves, they’re still not considered valid. Based on this experience, I’d advise others to think carefully before trusting this company or relying on its reviews.

Yelp is as helpful as a blind security…

Yelp is as helpful as a blind security guard. Their version of reviews are awful, the only people whom bother to leave one are mad and post one on every review board. I hate that Yelp is attached to Maps, so you have to incorporate their slanted opinion when traveling. I generally look the Google Review up to ensure I am going to a good place, vs one that pays Yelp a bunch of money to have good ratings.

Yelp is your typical big internet…

Yelp is your typical big internet business. Unresponsive, don't care, they have their one-size-fits-all policies, can't resolve any problems, and just leave you feeling like you've just got f..ked. I paid them a lot of money and got screwed. They are the same as ALL the other companies, don't trust them, don't pay them. They may help out homeowners, but they screw contractors, and you'll likely get NOTHING out of it.

Deceptive Metrics & Data Privacy Concerns – Stay Away

I am writing this to warn other small business owners about Yelp’s predatory advertising practices and complete lack of transparency.

During December and January, my dashboard showed a massive spike in "Ad Leads" (134 in total) even though our clicks were actually down. However, our internal tracking showed zero actual customers from Yelp. Even worse, while under contract, I was harassed daily by "Yelp Partners" and telemarketers. The second I cancelled my contract on February 1st, the harassment calls stopped instantly—suggesting my "leads" were actually just scrapers or Yelp selling my data to third parties.

When I reached out to dispute these charges and the fraudulent metrics, I was ignored for over a month. When they finally responded, they hid behind their "Cost Per Click" model, stating they only "guarantee exposure" and refused any refund.

If you are looking for ROI, look elsewhere. Yelp is charging for bot traffic and "exposure" that results in nothing but spam calls. I have escalated this to my credit card company and the Texas Attorney General under the Deceptive Trade Practices Act. Save your marketing budget and stick to Google.

I had a very disappointing experience…

I had a very disappointing experience advertising with Yelp.

Before I signed up, their customer service was extremely attentive. I was told I would have a representative dedicated to my account. However, as soon as I became a paying customer, that representative was nowhere to be found. Whenever I needed help, I had to call the general customer service line and was passed from person to person.

Eventually, I reached someone who was actually much more helpful than the original rep, but unfortunately, my account was still mishandled. I had asked for a monthly spending cap because the charges on my card were getting out of control. Despite that request, the billing continued at very high amounts. Meanwhile, although Yelp claimed my page had thousands of views, I did not receive a single call or piece of business from it.

When I finally canceled the service, I discovered that I was still being charged. When I questioned this, a representative told me the platform is “self-serve.” If that’s the case, why have account managers and customer service representatives involved in the first place? No one told me at the beginning that I would be expected to manage everything entirely on my own.

To make matters worse, changes were made to my account settings, adding descriptions that I did not request and had nothing to do with my business, which created confusion. After canceling, Yelp continued to bill me and refused to refund the charges. I ultimately had to dispute the charges with my credit card company, and the outcome is still pending.

Overall, this experience felt extremely frustrating and unprofessional. I would strongly advise other small business owners to be very cautious before signing up, if at all!
