We absolutely love our new garden office - it is fantastic! We went to Squires in Badshot Lea and spoke to Nicole, who was very helpful. The teams who came round worked very hard and were polite and helpful. Everyone who has come round has said how amazing it is!

From making the decision to go ahead with our garden room, work began just days later.

6 weeks on, we have a beautiful functioning room for the teenage children (and us) use to entertain in. We also added a toilet and kitchenette which was a decision we will never regret!
We are so pleased we went as large as we could as the new space is simply amazing.

Despite a few communication ‘problems’ at points to begin with, we soon found it easier to speak to the builders when we were at work and the issues were no more. Greg and Peter were fantastic craftsmen and we’d definitely use them again. When one issue arose with the TV bracket in the wall, it was sorted within 24 hours despite having paid which was hugely reassuring. We are so pleased with the build and would recommend Your Extra Space to others.

We are so so delighted with our cabin built by Your Extra Space!! We designed it ourselves and nothing was too much trouble…I especially love the “hidden door”.

We the showroom at Squires and had an initial conversation with Nicole, who was so knowledgeable and provided us with a few ideas and a rough quote.

Next up - a site visit with Michael and then the work started two weeks later!
We were keen to get it all done by Xmas, which was a tight timeline, and they did not disappoint. The cabin was fully erected in just a week to an exceptionally high standard as you can see from the pictures. Maciek and his brother were brilliant. We couldn’t believe the speed at which they worked.

Just after, I noticed that one of our bi folds had a chip in it the size of a 10p coin (but didn’t affect functionality). I sent over a picture to Monika via WhatsApp, and the next day a new one was delivered and replaced.

One of the reasons we also chose Your Extra Space was the 10 year warranty they offer. Given the immediate replacement and disposal of the bifold door, I feel extremely reassured by this (and hope we never have to use it!)

Ps it’s now mid March and our cabin is brilliant. It’s quite shocking to read some of the other negative reviews as our experience has been the polar opposite.

Absolutely awful company. No customer service once paid. Never spoke to me in person once until I went to their showroom and that was on the phone. Had to go to the showroom twice as they would not communicate. From day 1 their work was unprofessional. Steel base held up with bits of wood and unlevel. Plumbing above frostline and waste doesnt even run as no incline. Forgot to put DPM down so squashed it through the gaps in the floor. Plumbing put in and never tested with running water and covered. EPDM never glued down just stapled also walked all over it. EPDM left stapled hanging on the rear of the building and was told this is standard finish. Kept demanding 3rd payment when the work hadnt been done to a good standard. Terminated contract on the understanding they would at least provide me with the last door as I had paid £19k and make it watertight. Turned up with white doors when all my other doors are grey and then said I would have to pay extra as they had made a mistake by giving me grey doors!! Building still leaking. All workers on site could not communicate. Left my garden like a building site. Wont refund me the £2k to finish the electrics (which is being generous as it will cost me at least £8k to rectify) or change the ridiculous multicoloured door and handles. No OSB after membrane and was told had to pay £800, agreed £500 and I admit I never paid as service didnt improve, more for this as optional (advertised as £18 per sqm on site so overcharged me) - noone ever told me this as couldnt actually speak to anyone. Please go elsewhere as these are cheap but you get what you pay for. The people who work for the company are rude and unprofessional and now pursuing the court route as they dont deserve my hard earned money for the shoddy work they did. (They will most probably pretend they dont know me ,like they usually do on bad reviews, or they did the job to a good standard but happy to provide a video and photo evidence for the actual 11 days they worked on my site and the state of my multicoloured leaking box I am left with.)
REPLY to YES: I dont know how you have the audacity to say all problems have been rectified and 85% completed? They have not been rectifed to my approval (you wouldnt know as youve never spoken to me) I still have multicoloured doors (you supply grey doors and then give me the last door in white and tell me I have to pay extra to get the same coloured door, how is that right?), the plumbing/waste is unusable. The bifold doors leak. The EPDM roof has not been glued down. The outstanding balance was £8803 actually would you like me to post the invoice to prove it and all the photos of your so called standard finish. Total price was £27875? not £32985k? did you forget to minus the VAT maybe? Anyone in their right mind would not give you any more money when you are incapable of actually doing the work (I was also advised not to make payment and in accordance with the consumer act 2015), to a good standard. I am not being threatening I am giving an honest true review and do not want other people to get caught out like me. I am happy for anyone to request the photos and video evidence and to show the shed that I have been left with for £19k. You told me you was a professional company the only thing I can say was done to a good standard was the actual wooden frame. I will let everyone know how you treat people and not once have you ever picked up the phone to try and resolve the issue all you ever did was demand the 3rd payment and threaten me that the work would stop!! I have had a month of hell, anxiety and stress and have lost £19k in the long run. Also the non payment has nothing to do with my financial status or personal reasons, I have the money but refuse to pay for uncompleted poor work and as you well know I offered to pay in installments after each stage of work was completed as I could not trust you to do the work correctly but you declined and I wasnt prepared to pay you the remaining £8803 in full due to the way you had treated me and what standards you had provided so far. All of this could have been avoided if you actually cared for your customers and had the decency to speak to me on the phone to try and rectify the situation but you wasnt interested as you had already fraudulently taken my money. All I can say if people decide to use your company, prior to starting, make sure you know exactly what you are getting as they will say, thats an extra charge and show us the proof when you challenge it. You did 11 days work and obtained £19k+ I got an empty composite leaky box with multicoloured doors. I'm sorry that I actually know about building standards and could see what you were doing wrong? What so professional company puts water pipes 2cm from the ground line and waste with no incline? This review is 100% true with all evidence to back it up.

I am so happy I have picked Your Extra Space. They have done a fantastic job and all their builders were amazing ( hard working ) I visited Farnham showroom and Nicole was super friendly and polite she help us choose the cladding and the doors. Highly recommended company

Really happy with our Garden office. As mentioned in some of the reviews communication could sometimes be a little better but the job got done in around the timeframe given to a high standard. Overall we’re really happy with our garden office and would recommend Your Extra Space.

I am only giving them 1 star as i cant give them any less. Terrible service, terrible quality build, terrible communication. Really not happy and would not recommend to anyone. Held back final payment after a catalogue to errors including leaking roof where there said they used lead flashing but used a tape instead to save money. They never bothered responding, so I never made final payment ( less that 10% of the build ). I am now getting roofing company to fully fix the leak at a cost of £2800. Note to self - if its sounds cheap its for a reason.

We heard good things about Y.E.S from our friend who has used them before. We visited the Stanmore showroom and met Monika. She has so much knowledge about the garden rooms and patiently explained the process, the material and specifications, and all details we could thought of. Their pricing for a bespoke garden room seems to be reasonable comparing to other ones we have seen.

A week after, we have Martin inspected our garden and provided the initial quote swiftly. We loved Martin being our project manager. He is very responsive, reliable and reasonable. He managed and led his team very well, so we had no or very little gaps between different teams (foundation, joinery, plastering, decorating and electricity). He and the team completed our building to a high standard in a month – for this we are very grateful.

We particularly want to thank Beka who is the joiner and built the whole structure. He gave us a lot good advices which we have adopted, and he worked indefatigably from the day to the night in the cold wet winter. In fact, each team performed with a great quality and went above and beyond of our expectations.

Therefore we would highly recommend Y.E.S to anyone want to have a bespoke garden room in London (and surrounding areas). We read a lot reviews about them before we commenced and thought we’d pay extra attention on managing between teams and comms. Yet our experience has proved that Y.E.S has effective communication and smooth coordination between teams! I hope our experience will be similar to your future ones.

Everybody at Your Extra Space were excellent to deal with throughout the process, there were a few niggles along the way, which is to be expected with any project, but they were always dealt with swiftly and professionally - they even came back after completion to sort out a couple of small issues we had only spotted when we started to use the room

Also a special mention for all of the builders/contractors who came to our house, who were always polite, respectful and very hard working and definitely worth a 5 star review

Let me start by saying that this company is one of the VERY BEST we have ever dealt with for any of our home improvement projects. The two guys that head up the company, Michael and Marcin, are truly wonderful to deal with. Honest, reliable, trustworthy, professional - and most important of all - they do exactly what they say they'll do. We couldn't be happier with the entire process - and the quality of build far exceeded our expectations. To be truthful, we felt they treated us as 'family' because they really cared about our thoughts and suggestions as the project progressed, and did everything possible to make it right for us. Even when there were material delays, they jumped in and provided higher quality materials just so that our completion would not be delayed. It's this sort of integrity and commitment to 'deliver' that impressed us so much.

To sum it up - great product and an amazing on-site team - Because of my experience with Your Extra Space, I've already recommended them to family and friends and would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone who's looking for something special for their garden.

I had a 3x5m garden composite office built. Majority of the workers were really hard working and I am very happy with the office, both the interior and exterior.

My main negative experience was the communication, which has lost them a star. Prior to going ahead with the build, and after viewing the reviews, the lack of communication was quite transparent. Therefore we requested a different payment plan to spread out for each stage which helped.

I was fortunate enough to work mainly from home, as you are not told when workers will arrive and when the next stage is. There are also different workers for different stages.

If the communication is improved, then I think this is a good company to go ahead with, as we are happy with the outcome.

We have a few snags left, which hopefully will be sorted soon, but otherwise I am happy with the office.

Highly recommended, very good quality, insulated buildings in any spec and for any budget. They have 4 amazing showrooms...Thank you Your Extra Space....

Impressed by the speedy process. My garden office was up in no time.

Not great at all. Made mistakes all along the process. Delayed a relatively small build. It Took 1 month for a 3x3 m garden building . They have a problem with unreliable suppliers of doors especially. Left the building With low quality finish and building materials left onsite. Wouldn’t recommend.

Your Extra Space has done a marvellous job for me. My Extra Space building was built in no time, the team worked very hard despite the weather. They understood very well my needs suggesting best possible solution. My garden room was built tightly from fence to fence which was very important to me as my garden is rather small. I was very happy throughout the project, communication was also helpful and accessible. Five star service and highly recommended , gladly adding my review to their already great reputation.

We had a small snag with some electrical part of our garden Room...some 6months after it was finished.
Monika and the team couldn't be any more helpful ..as they have always been throughout the build and after sales too.

After having responded immediately, wiithin a day or two, she came back to me with a proposed date Patrick the electrician could return back.

And he did: on time and cheerful and professional as always.

I can't speak highly enough of the company & being quite some time after the build was completed, I was so impressed at how dedicated they remained & completely helpful.
