After many weeks of research, I was fortunate enough to get a first hand recommendation from my sister in law who had their garden office built by Your Extra Space. She in turn had done a lot of research and found them to be the best value by far. Having seen the quality of her build it was a no brainer to go with them, particularly as rather fortuitously their office is just round the corner from me.

Martin and Michal came for an initial site visit, giving excellent recommendations and explained the whole process going forward. Having visited their showroom, which is impressive by the way, i was confident that they had ample stocks of materials, which at the moment are in short supply due to the high demand for garden rooms since Covid.

Their payment plan spreads the cost based upon work carried out. Tiny criticism is that the bulk of the payments are paid relatively early in the build, which meant that progress initially was extremely fast but then tended to slow down towards the end.

However each team were specialised and carried out work to the highest quality. We had a reinforced concrete base, a tree felled all carried by Marcin, and Wojtek (foresters back in Poland), they even cut the trunk into small wood burner sized logs, really going the extra mile. Both nights they worked until 7.30pm. Yes there was a bit of mess that should have been cleared, but other than that I couldn't fault their professionalism.

All the teams I couldn't fault, from the carpenters to the plasterers. Andrew is renowned amongst his colleagues as a perfectionist and the quality of the paintwork and the flooring was second to none. he even made a special trip to get some trim that complemented our flooring. The electrician Damian was also excellent. Monika and Denisa were also first class at driving the project forward.

I have to say I have seen some of the comments but on my experience I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them most highly. As others have said, be polite and courteous and I am sure you will get a better service.

I have just had my build completed today and am very happy.
Like some on here I was a little concerned about a couple of the bad reviews but chose to speak with Martin about this. He explained the situation and based on what he told me I was happy to go ahead. I was keen to get the job done ASAP however Martin said so not to disappoint expect the job to take 6 weeks. After a few weeks Monika rang to tell me the job would start, the guys turned up to do the base and worked incredibly hard and were polite. I in turn made sure they had a toilet to use and plenty of cups of tea. Throughout the build Monika and Denisa were in constant communication with me via text, phone call and WhatsApp. Yes there were days where contractors were on other jobs and in total I think the most number of days nobody was on site was four days, however throughout that time Monika was in contact with me. Due to them building the unit from scratch, there is obviously mess, however at the end of every night the guys sweep up and due to the level of work, you have to expect the area to be like a building site for a few weeks. We saw two electricians both very polite and clean, especially Damian! The guy that painted and did the floor was also very good and did a great job.

Honestly, I can't fault them, yes you may have to wait a week or two more than you are promised, but that's probably because they are very busy due to there competitive price and everyone wanting garden offices. However the wait is well worth it, the finished product is excellent. I paid £20k as I had aircon and lights etc, and compared to some quotes ethis is a bargain. One of my neighbours has viewed and is also going for one.

Be polite and patient and you won't regret ordering and working with them!

Would highly recommend. We had an office and shed built through YourExtraSpace - they went the extra mile for us and one of the shortest lead times amongst several other companies we looked into - within 8 wks on site after order placed and job completed within 3 wks.
Quality materials, good craftmanship, very considerate of noise and our neighbours and gave us valuable suggestions re the design.
There might be a few adjustments to make in communication or delays whilst waiting for materials - but in these difficult times (covid, fuel, supply chain etc) having a little patience and understanding goes a long way in getting the best outcome.

We employed your extra space to build an office for us in the garden. Overall we are very happy with the finished office - there have been unavoidable delays due to covid, materials etc but the workmanship has been excellent. Actually as we got to know Michael and his team - they are very easy to work with and do a great job. We will definitely recommend them if you want a really good finish and quality workmanship.

We were a little concerned about our build given some of the recent reviews but we have been very impressed with them. Greg and his team have been working their socks off and my office looks amazing. The communication with Monika and the team has also been first rate. I wouldn’t have any problems recommending them.

Your Extra Space specialise in garden rooms, summer houses and having just got mine completed, I am independently sharing my experience of a job well done through to finish. Yes Covid has brought its challenges and with many of the team having to self isolate and considering a boom in garden offices, you need to be patient and Martin and Monika will go out of their way to help and expedite the build but please bear some patience and ensure you plan contingency. These guys know their stuff and once the work starts the men just get on with it. They have a huge team so various teams involved at certain stages but make coffee and tea for the workmen, be a nice human being , treat them well and they will give you the finish they promised.

They will promise you the moon and then leave your job unfinished and your garden a mess. Shame on Your Extra Space, really shocked at thier unprofessional behaviour, works carried out to substandard and poor commitment to our project

Your Extra Space is a cowboy one with reputation! They will ask to pay upfront and run off! If you were to give them your garden room project make sure you protect yourselves at the point of contract, set a final deadline for when they need to complete the work and discuss what would happen if they don’t finish on time and ask for penalties.I have had a set deadline for my project too and they did not respect it and refuse to take responsibility for so now after claiming will be taking the matter further they have now vanished leaving my project unfinished and it is now hard for me getting another company to take over the build.This company should be banned from trading. They have no clue about professionalism and what customer service means. They are not qualified and seem just a pop up business, appointing random builders to deal with your project. Stay alert and be mindful as you don't know who you're are opening your doors to nor Your Extra Space know either as they are contracting people who don't even know their identity. Nobody will asses your project throughout its development, they won't respect timelines, they will keep asking for money and if you show signs of no longer trusting them, they will leave you with an unfinished project and a whole mess in your garden. Do not give your money to these people M..rtin Mi..hael Mo ..ka will not take responsibility for anything and be aware they promise you 10 years guarantee but I wouldnt be surprised if this company will be shut down soon as they are fooling people! Very untrustworthy and unprofessional, never came across anything similar in my life, simply shocked and will take this matter further!
