Ordered item via Amazon marketplace which arrived a few days later. Unfortunately the item was damaged and faulty out of the box. The seller refused to respond to any communication from myself or Amazon customer service leading me to believe they knew the item was faulty or second hand. Would not recommend this company at all.

In response to sellers feedback.
1. The order was not with Amazon. It was with your company through Amazon's marketplace.
2. An RMA request was completed yet no prepaid return label was provided thus leaving me unable to return at no cost to myself.
3. At least four emails were sent by either Amazon or myself yet still all four remain without response. If you were only too happy to help why was none of those emails answered?

Genuine Sony flash unit brought an ILCE 5100 camera back to full operation.

Be careful NOT to throw away the old flash. There is a small rectangular piece of metal on the right hand side of the flash tube (looking from the front) on the original which is NOT supplied with the replacement. It looks like it might be a contact.

This is in fact a MAGNET. You need to transfer this from the old failed flash to the new one - it is just a presss fit Otherwise the camera can't detect when the flash is closed and it keeps flashing even when closed.
