Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Considering 64 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Consumers frequently complained about poor product quality, noting that various major household appliances like refrigerators, washing machines, and ovens broke down prematurely or arrived with dangerous defects. People also reported deeply frustrating experiences with customer service representatives who were completely unhelpful, extremely difficult to reach on the phone, and unable to resolve technical problems. Though some customers faced difficulties, a few reviewers were happy with courteous support interactions or found certain product designs acceptable. These specific individuals appreciated receiving prompt replacement assistance or enjoyed the nice aesthetic appearance of their newly installed kitchen units.

Will not consider this brand anymore

i had a washing machine used for around 1 year. THe drum got damaged and the warranty just lasted for a year. Poor quality and everything needs to pay. Request a service at 1xx GBP then took 3 visits to have it fixed! Three months later, an error code appears again. Such quality is really annoying and disaapointing. Poor techology and the machine is not well designed so problems come out in a short period of usage with a short warranty coverage. Then request customers to pay for an initial check-up. No technical advice can be given to help users. I would not consider this brand (any products) anymore.

Rusting

oh no Zanussi! As much as I like your appliances, I am appalled the kitchen hob is rusting and before you suggest its the cleaning agent I used, it does not contain chloride. Its rather painful that a brand new hob is rusting

Had a built-in microwave the first week…

Had a built-in microwave the first week control panel started to come away.
Rang helpline they put me in touch with grimsby service centre.
Come out fix it then it come off again.
Took them a year after a few fixes and decided to put a new one on!!
I had problems with the microwave oven which only cooked a fish pie half a side cooked!!!
Rang the service center and got a very bad attitude manager saying there not wrong or I'll hang up!!
Be told to turn the pie around half way in the cooking times!!
Buy a beko far better that was an advice from there service engineer.
So I did.
Don't buy a Zanussi you will have sleepless nights.

zanussi Lindo dryer and…

We purchased zanussi Lindo dryer and it’s the worst purchase we ever made. It will only dry clothes from damp not wet ! It’s not cheap and it doesn’t do what it’s supposed to do. Very difficult to deal with customer service.

I used to think this was a great brand

I used to think this was a great brand. After purchasing a washing machine and a water heater and having spent as much money in repairs as needed to buy them again two times over, I had to radically change my mind.

Do not buy a Zanussi product

I bought an under the counter fridge, I noticed after just under a year of purchase the door was slightly open, I closed it, not realising it was a problem, by the time I called Zanussi it was about a few days out of warranty and they would not come out unless I paid. I got a friend to see if they
could see why this was happening and the metal under the door was bent. I called
Zanussi back, I told them it had to be a fault,
but no I still had to pay. Someone
straightened the metal for me, I also put a
child lock on and it seemed to work. A few
weeks later it started leaking, my friend
checked it for me and the container at the
back of the fridge was full of water, (which is
supposed to automatically evaporate), they
had the same fridge checked theirs and the
same thing, luckily theirs was under warranty
still, an engineer came out to them and the
container was not low enough so technically
a design fault, I never even called Zanussi
because I know they would not care. I still
have to pull the fridge out to empty the
container. I have now decided I am going to
have to buy a new fridge. I have always
bought Zanussi and had no issues in the
past, but never again.

NEVER BUY A ZANUSSI PRODUCT !!

New hob 2 weeks old and markings appeared around largest burner. Absolutely no help from Zanussi! now 4 weeks later and still no further forward. They repeatedly ask for your details every time I respond to an email as they fail to read the email trail. Stating the markings are not covered by warranty and insisting it is caused by spillage!! Have repeatedly told them this is definitely not the case as, firstly spillage would have been cleaned and secondly the distribution of the marks are around the igniter and appears to be some sort of chemical reaction! Latest response telling me to go back to Wren as purchased along with kitchen - this is not Wrens responsibility !!

Zanussi - an honourable company.

We have an unusual washing machine: Zanussi Mod ZWC1301 which needed a repair even though the one year guarantee had just expired. Although we contacted Currys -the sellers - we were disappointed by Currys who 'passed the buck' to Zanussi - despite Currys being legally responsible. I want to commend Zanussi for 'Customer Delight' by repairing the machine on a free of cost basis. We shall certainly purchase Zanussi products again because they are an honourable company.

I tried to write a negative review on…

I tried to write a negative review on the Zanussi website about my oven which got broken 3 days after the warranty expired ( surely by design?) and it didn't allow me to write an honest review! I chose 1 star and it comes back with an "oops something is wrong" message. That's cheating!

If I could give this a zero I would

If I could give this a zero I would. Awful customer service!!! We had our new induction hob installed & within 2 months one of the coils blew a fuse & the hob rendered useless. Engineer came out quickly but it was established early on that a replacement was needed & it’s gone from bad to worse ever since.

Their “technical team” canny be reached by phone (allegedly), no one calls you back with an update & 5 weeks on we still don’t have a hob because of their inability to streamline their internal processes. Frankly they should be ashamed of themselves.

You can’t log a complaint with anyone on the phone, only by email & this goes off into obscurity never to be seen again.

Someone needs to sort this company’s processes out ASAP & teach people how to return their customer calls.

Still no replacement in sight.

DO NOT BUY ZANUSSI

We bought a Zanussi fridge 15 months ago and it’s broke already! It started defrosting and making loud noises. The warranty only lasts 12 months and that is now obvious why (as they know it won’t last longer).

It has to be the worst brand I’ve ever known!

I would never buy anything of Zanussi again and I wish I would have read all of their 99 percent 1 star reviews before buying it!

The Zanussi team has been plodding and…

The Zanussi team has been plodding and unprofessional. They have neglected my issue for over a month and shown no urgency in fixing my hob despite my repeated notifications. As a result, I've had to rely on takeout because the hob isn't working. An electrician from their team informed me that some parts were unavailable. Yet, the Zanussi team has refused to replace the induction hob, even though it was purchased in October 2023 and is still under the two-year warranty.

New Oven ruined by internal cleaning program !

Purchased a Zanussi oven and hob through Wrens Kitchens recently.Submitted warranties online on 12/5/2024. Several days ago the Pyrolytic Cleaning warning came up so looked up how to proceed with it, Ran the C1 program. After oven cooled down hours later, we noticed that there were burn marks on the oven seals and on the outer edges of the glass door. Also the oven is now unable to get to the selected temperature ,always a few degrees over, so it seems that the C1 Cleaning program has ruined our brand new Oven! to make matters worse when contacting Zanussi , they say we have to pay for the repairs as the Warranty doesn't cover all that I've described above! Im so angry!!

Do not buy Zanussi

My Zanussi integrated came with my new build flat and two year warranty via AEG. Over the two years since I have had it and while with in warranty it has had a number of issues with noise, tapping, vibrating (stops when door is opened momentarily) and unpredictable loud banging noises.
This is the response from AEG Consumer Services:
"We are sorry for the delay. I'm afraid, if the technical team are saying that there is no fault with the appliance, we would not be able to organise a replacement for you."
Do not but Zanussi products if you value your sanity.

Dishwasher - main board failure

Dishwasher less than 18 months old model zdln1511, used approx. once every 2 days, cleaned well, dried well with auto opening door at end of cycle. However, main control board appears to have failed and Zanussi only have a 1 year warranty. Customer Services not interested due to being out of the 1 year warranty, but seems a major failure for a relatively new dishwasher. Cost of repair to be 1/3 of the cost of the appliance if DIY, over half the cost of appliance for a professional repair.
I will be purchasing a new dishwasher and will pick one with a longer manufacturers warranty, whilst avoiding the Electrolux range of brands in the future.
