this took over my pc had no uninstaller with it i could not move it from the tray i couldn't even stop it in services or task manager i couldn't connect to the internet or any other sites when i assumed it disconnected me i couldnt even get into settings to re start my WI FI DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS ESPECIALLY IF YOU HAVE ZERO KNOWLEDGE OF PC i was only able to get my pc working because i took most of the files away but it was still running in the background but at least i could go onto the net open files ,this is so bad these people are likely making money off people who dont even know how to work a pc. i complained then it took it away but even trying to contact them directly didn't work because i couldn't get onto any page , then i noticed something reading my pc 2 when it has a feed back box that doesnt force you to go to the actual website. no one told me what this was that just started going through my pc it said it didnt work but i could see it was still doing something so i didn't exit out of it if i had i may not have got it fixed because it told me it wasn't working the other box did say to wait it i noticed it was from the company at no time was i warned this was going to happen so again if you do not know computers at all dont touch it i could have closed it not knowing what it was or closed the one saying it isnt working . the other worked though 2 programs were running. then it was fixed

ZoneAlarm quarantines everything! I've been using it for years, & zone alarm is out of control. They want full control of my computer & every download is malware!!

Nick was great ... fantastic customer service. In the future however, I was very frustrated Monday "President's Day" I tried all day to get a chat session running, only to email and was told that even though your website says 24/7 technical support, there was none that day, consider a banner that states, chat is down during holidays.

Support has been very helpful and patience in removing pop ups on my device. Thank you

ZA was quarantining an app i needed to run, Not a virus! ZA software wouldn't let it be allowed! I contacted ZA support repeatedly over weeks to have the issue resolved, they are rude and ignorant, quite literally not caring about the issue at all. I ended up turning off virus protection and buying another Antivirus product that worked fine with App that was being blocked by ZA. FYI.. I have been using ZA firewall since yr 2000. It is a major disappointment that i now uninstall and delete any checkpoint products!

I have used ZoneAlarm for almost 20 years now. It started off very good, became ok, but has been terrible the past few years.

Whenever I loose internet connection (which is frequently now), I have to uninstall ZoneAlarm to get back connectivity. Then download and run the "clean uninstall", re-install the latest version, and contact support if any of these steps don't work (ie. on 28 Jan 2026, ZoneAlarm's own server was not working, and re-install was not possible at that time). This causes severe interruption to my work commitments, and wastes a lot of time.

There is also the hassle that every link, gets blocked the first time, so everything requires two tries, which is very annoying because all processes with businesses or governments etc are blocked at some stage, and one always has to start again, which creates a lot of frustration and waste of time. ZoneAlarm needs to have a better approach for identifying trustworthy sites, rather than the lazy approach of blocking everything and leaving customers with the constant inconvenience.

I would like to add that, when one sees a huge polarization in reviews with 65% trustpilot 1 star reviews and 25% trustpilot 5 star reviews, one has to wonder at the authenticity of the 5 star reviews. How can some people have no issues with the software, whilst others have constant problems?

Regardless, the bottom line is .... Don't waste any time or money on ZoneAlarm, unsurprisingly it's not rated in the top 10 cyber security software (you can verify this yourself). You can definitely get better.

My experience with Zonealarm Extreme Security NextGen has been faultless for many years now. I effectively trust them with my (on-line) life, and they have never let me down. The product is easy to use, effective, and reliable. I would use no other.
My one experience involving an Adware attack which could not be detected, was quickly resolved by Zonealarm expert Nick A., who eliminated the problem, quickly, efficiently, and effectively. It was very impressive, but I would expect nothing less from Zonealarm. Thanks guys!

Almost no user alterable settings. So when you install a new program, you have to fight Zonealarm the whole way through the install experience.

Besides that, any company that sends me a "Happy Holidays" email at Christmas time immediately goes on my "don't buy anymore list".

This is virus for my PC - issue with LAN and Wifi. No no no. 4 years with this and issue with internet.

Zone Alarm is hands-down the best consumer cybersecurity protection on the market, period! They might not be the flashiest name out there, but these guys are not a marketing company....they're a security company - not the other way around.

Very easy to use and also their customer service team are great and easy to contact The app checks your mobile phone and tablets on a regular basis and lets you check to see if you are being attacked on line it does not allow unsafe webpages if it finds an issue you get a warning saying not safe

I have used ZA for decades! I have (Knock on wood) never had an issue with a virus.

The only thing I dont like about this new version unlike the days of old is that there is no place to go look for when your subscription is expiring. That could be a continiously shown number on the form or have it on a clcikable link some where.

I recently experienced an issue with a routine scan of my mobile ZA. I reported the problem to tech at ZA and they got right on it! It took a few days of messaging back and forth but worked out.
