I am using the Zone Alarm for my Gaming laptop and 2 mobiles. Best security solution for personal and corporate devices.
For the laptop, I am using it mostly for Antivirus security, and it takes care of the back end and helps scan links and browser pages for malware.
The best part I observed for mobile if you click on links from any page or application or in a message, even by mistake, instead of directly opening it scans first and assures you it's not malware or phishing

The Software is running smoothly without bothering me with more messages than necessary, and so far I never experiences any security issues.

A very patient Nick A. Also very knowledgeable. And, most importantly got me up and running again.

Had to reinstall Win 11 and ZA would not install. Spent several days with Tech Support trying to solve the problem. Tech Support was timely and stayed with me until the issue was resolve. Thanks to the Tech Support......

I have good experience with chatboot zonealarm

I’ve been using Zone Alarm for more than 8 years and it’s been rock-solid. The firewall and antivirus are excellent, and the anti-ransomware feature gives me extra peace of mind. It runs quietly, updates regularly, and keeps my system safe without slowing it down. Highly recommended!

Again today I had my problem solved in a quick and efficient manner

The ZA tool was infinitely scanning my credit card fields on Dyson.com so I could not check out. The ZA support rep suggested I try in the "incognito" mode, and that did the trick.

I think ZoneAlarm is a virus. After the latest update, several of my programs stopped working. I tried every way possible to remove the updated version, but it was impossible. I wanted to re-install the earlier version of ZoneAlarm but was prevented from doing so. I'm furious.

It work very well, save me some serious problems.

Slowed down my computer to the point I couldn’t open chrome and also wouldn’t allow me to stop it from running. For reference I am a streamer and stream games like Valorant and Overwatch while having chrome tabs open, I don’t know why it did this.

I am sharing my experience with this security software and associated company with the aim of helping other computer users from falling in awful bad experience and loss that I suffered.
I purchased a 2 year /730 days license to be used on the Zonealarm Extreme security platform, used it for 199 days after which that platform was killed and superseded by newer platform of the same name with the addition of “Next Gen” in the name.
The Extreme security Next Gen is not compatible at all in any way with the previous Extreme security, it requires total removal of the previous version discarding any user setups and tunes made through its use in addition to that is its none compatibility with the license of the Extreme security version requiring the user to buy completely new license at elevated prices.
I have contacted customer support for help as one would normally in order to get away for me to continue using my valid remaining license of 531 days only to be faced with one hell of bad treatment one after another. For starter they spend best part of 5 days questioning the authenticity of my license and how I purchased it, after I provided that proof their aviation tactic took a different twist.
I got passed from customer support agent to another and another, day after day to a count of 6 till now including and 23 days later, still ongoing with me remaining with no cover! What a reflection of a company that cares for its customers and seeks good reputation as they claim. Throughout this experience the emerging picture my repeated contact to customer support is bad attitude, slopy Sholders /don’t care and have no clue all strongly visible, throughout which not a single team leader or manager ever encountered at all in all communications! What an intriguing setup!
The other big disappointment is that I have been a very long term customer buying this product with customer support knowing that well yet it's to no avail or any weight, it makes one wonder if they really are that hard up!
Another scary discovery I found from customer support is that the new zonealarm extreme security next gen platform can only be installed via online installer and no offline installer is provided unlike the normal practice of software use by many other companies and similar platform. This process is in effect enabling the software to have unconditional access to the PC with running many hidden applications and functions in the background without the user seeing any or knowing what’s actually being done, that is serious breach of privacy laws disregarding user rights under the banner of “using the software”.
Simple autopsy is that the company either didn’t believe that its possible to have a valid continuing license to exist at point of them killing that platform or they did but didn’t care, both of which reflects unprofessional and bad customer courtesy with zero care /goodwill here in addition to its simply echoing as a clear plain scam with them only focusing on few dollers it's really beyond petty.
If my review here can save just one customer from falling in the claws of this company then I would have been compensated for my painful experience and losses serving a useful propose and all not lost in vain.

I have been a customer with ZA for about 10 years My problems started on Sept 16th with an E mail from ZA saying because I had not got Auto renewal on( which I had) ZA cannot up grade my ZA extreme security and I could do it my self by using the following link which I tried but it did not work. I spent 3 hours at various times on the chat box eventually to be told I could not upgrade because it was already done. Fast forward to the end of September I bought a new computer witch worked fine for a week then it started to fail to get on the internet even though I had a strong WiFi signal I got in touch with my provider who checked my Fibre line out the company said my line was OK but to be on the safe side would send me a new router this worked OK for a couple of days then I get the same message cannot get on the internet this time I contact my computer manufacturer who spend a couple of hours on a mobile phone guiding me though various ideas In the end it was suggested that I send my computer back, the company had the computer for two week and could find nothing wrong they rang me and asked for my windows password later in the Day they came back to me and said that ZA was doing some thing in the background which was causing the problem and that they had removed ZA Even though I have a years subscription left I am not inclined to download a fresh copy of ZA extreme security In case it happens again

Used Zonealrm for years with no problems until they “upgraded” it to their NextGen version. Absolutely useless - locks up the computer and makes it unusable. So slow I can’t even browse the internet or open Outlook to read emails. Have now uninstalled it and computer is back to normal - won’t be going back to this again.

Unusable, locks up my mid-range PC

Using ZoneAlarm Pro Antivirus + Firewall since 16+ years. Reliable, easy to install and use. No dubious 'All inclusive application', but just a very reliable anti-virus and software-firewall program. Reneval is not automatic and prices are moderate. The App is using 326 MB RAM (unfortunately 32-bit), with no performance slow-downs.

I'm very satisfied with their product - NextGen

In the beginning, Zonealarm was a very good firewall. However, it's grown into a monster writing thousands of temporary files in less than two weeks of use on a new laptop. The ability to control installed software, from companies that poke around in your computer, under the guise that they're giving you a 'better experience' is gone. These are two major issues that have brought me to dump Zone Alarm permanently.

Removed their software because it was slowing my pc. Now I cannot remove their Harmony folder from my pc or backup drive.

I received an auto renewal notice for my Anti Virus subscription today.
1) I never ever enable auto renewal
2) the links they gave to cancel the renewal were not direct and there was still additional navigation to a different URL to cancel the auto renewal.

Basically these are highly dubious business practices to retain their revenue. When did checkpoint become such a nefarious underhand company to deal with?

You can bet that the only reason I got the renewal notice was because under UK contract law, they are obliged to do so.

The CMA also state they should make it easy to cancel auto renewal, it wasn't, the link provided did not take me straight to where i needed to go, I had to navigate my way to another website entirely to do this.
Cheap dodgy practices means that I will never use them again.

If you currently use Zonealarm, i urge you to check the auto renewal status of your subscription and cancel it if you do not require it.
Like I said, I NEVER keep auto renewal enabled when I sign up to a subscription service, so how did that happen ..hmmmmmm
