Great experience with Wylies

I was looking for a Keela Talus jacket for my husband, as I have been so pleased with mine. Not only did Wylies have what I wanted, it was at a really good price and also included delivery with a reliable courier (DPD). Everything went smoothly from start to finish, including a very quick response when I had a small query. (I don't often leave reviews, but in this case they definitely earned one!)

Really great service

Really great service, I took a very friendly phone call after placing a large order for scouts, confirming the order and offering some advice on what had been ordered.

Would definately use Wylies again for future kit needs

I still haven’t received my order

I still haven’t received my order? I was told via email that unfortunately my parcel had got lost and as soon as they had another one in stock they would send it out to me I was impressed with the service but I’m still waiting for my order despite them saying they have resent it. Tracking doesn’t know where it is. Messaged them today to ask for a refund.
Update April 18th
To address a couple of issues with the company’s reply, firstly there was NO error with the address from the order form I filled in. If any error on the address is to blame it is not my doing. I have NOT received my refund yet. In all the correspondence with the company they told me they had resent my order ( so it was sent twice not three times). I have been called harsh and unfair because I wouldn’t change my review by Drew and told that if I hadn’t left such a harsh review I would have been offered discount on further orders, like I’d ever order again after this experience. I do not think my review is harsh or unfair I DID NOT RECEIVE MY GOODS!

Tina was sent her original order, but it flagged up with a delivery issue after a couple of days due to an issue with the address according to a recent update from DPD. We dispatched a second to rectify the issue quickly at our expense, to hear that also had not arrived. At the time of writing this review, we are waiting for confirmation.

It's entirely possible there has been a typing error in the address field at the time of ordering. Two orders going missing or being delayed to the same address is not something that will happen without an error with the address. I have verified that we have no internal issues with the delivery and currently troubleshooting to see what caused this and if the customer has not received a second.

Without question, we did issue a full refund on Tina's request within 24 hours.
We were responsive and dispatched a second including express shipping at our expense for Tina, with our apologies.

I am not sure what else you expect from us to be satisfied.

We are the value of 3 orders and shipping out of pocket (at the time of responding) after issuing a full refund.
We handled your request, and resolved your issue, an issue that we have no control over, at each stage in an apologetic helpful, and timely manner, and at our own expense.

Here is the facts,

Melvin's parcel was delayed in transit. So we ordered a replacement. A day after it was due to arrive we contacted him, apologized, and informed him we had ordered more because he ordered our last item and that it would take a few days to arrive because some supplier's suppliers (including the one for his items) do take a little longer after COVID and Brexit to deliver.

That is just a fact known by every business in the UK.
Melvin has bent the truth like a pretzel for his review as people like this always do.

A couple of days later his item was with us and it was dispatched the same day. I can confirm Melvin had already received his item days before writing this review.

He had constant communication with us from the moment it flagged up on our system as not delivered and was notified within 24 hours after the expected delivery date that there had been an issue and we were rectifying it, I even offered him a discount on a future order as my own way of an additional apology. Which I quickly retracted after a very unnecessary email from him calling us scammers and thieves when his order was 1 day late.

parcels do get delayed on occasion, no matter what courier is used or how much the service costs, DPD is the best at not losing parcels with an error rate of 0.1% of the thousands of parcels we send out every week.

We know how to resolve that issue. Sometimes it will take a few days if an item needs to be replaced. If this is the case we will always offer an additional discount and keep you informed every step of the way.

We are confident that we did everything in our power to rectify his late delivery, we were courteous and apologetic, and we went above and beyond what was required to rectify the issue and appease Melvin.

We are glad his issue was resolved, and even happier we won't have to deal with him again.

The only thing I find annoying, is the pop up item advertising on the Web page as it has stopped me from going to certain pages, or has blocked choices from the menus list. Love my new dd hammock many thanks

I am very happy to recommend the service and quality of goods from this small company. Dealing with Wylies Outdoor World is a pleasure that you may not find when you are dealing with larger businesses.
Working a lifetime in forestry and following outdoor persuits, I require good tough well designed, outer and inner wear and Wylies can supply in these in spades. The Insect Shield range of trousers, socks and tops are my go to range, whether at home in Scotland or in some tropical location.

I bought a Keela Talus insulated jacket. The price and product were very good. Delivery was included and tracked. Dispatch was prompt, and my item arrived sooner than estimated.

John is customer that disregarded the information on purchasing age verification items for bladed tools.

We reached out to him on several occasions with illustrated, step by step instructions that were simple, easy to follow, even for the most computer illiterate.

John kept sending us a poor quality, blurry image, that was impossible to read. Dispite us trying to help him on several occasions he kept just disregarding them and sending the same blurry image.

In the end he tried to blame "our tech" as if we are responsible for taking his photos.

To this he got a stern responce. A couple of hours later a negative review pops up out of spite.

Another example of someone feeling that we should make an exception for them and break the law.

we have said it on our website, on every page offering a bladed tool, on email after purchase in several review platforms...

NO EXCEPTIONS WILL BE MADE ON AGE VERIFICATION ITEMS!

If you are not willing to complete the age verification, we will not break the law and dispatch your order!
