Stop stonewalling. Please release information to my new accountant

Nearly two decades ago I engaged an accounting company called Buckleys. Peter gave me good advice and I liked the ethics of his company.

Peter moved Buckleys into Xeinadin. In the meantime our business model had changed and the new, bigger accountancy didn't suit us. I gave it a couple of years, but it wasn't working for us so I gave notice to leave in February 2026 after paying all the invoices raised for 2024.25.

Yesterday, my new accountant confirmed that no information has been passed over (I have been chasing).

Last week I got a letter from Companies house letting me know they were beginning the striking off procedure. My new accountant can't help because they don't have the codes required to make the necessary inputs. I phoned, spoke to a new person at Xeinadin who sorted the situation straight away and promised they would let Lisa, our account manager, know we urgently needed the information to go across to the new accountant.

The law has now changed. As a landlord I have to submit quarterly accounts to the government. The first quarter ends in two weeks time.

In February, after paying all my outstanding invoices, Xeinadin issued me with two new unexpected invoices. It appears Xeinadin are working to a billing system that I was unaware existed. It took a while to renegotiate the invoices.

In return, I was happy to pay a cancellation invoice for each company (3). I paid one invoice to start the process of transfer. I will pay the second invoice once information is sent to my new accountants and the third invoice once my new accountants confirm that they have everything they need.

What do I want?: someone in Xeinadin to take control of this situation, make sure my new accountant has everything required.

What will I do next?: If we can achieve a situation where my new accountant has all the correct information then I will remove this review and pay the second invoice. We will check the information as quickly as professional timing allows and pay the third invoice.

If the next two weeks take us no further forward then I will update this review every week until we finally find a solution.

It is really simple. A few hours of someone's time to focus at Xenadin and we will be done.
