Counterfeit HORRIBLE product and customer service

I so wish I would have looked here before I leaped. I found an amazing perfume while traveling in Croatia and didn't have a chance to grab it. Upon my return home, I did some research and found the "same" perfume online with them. I purchased it and when it arrived weeks later it smelled like wet dog? When I reached out to them they indicated it was a third party seller and they would reach out to them. Well for my $70 bottle of perfume that smelled like wet dog, Yami offered me $12 towards purchasing something else.

Really? Why would I want another bogus counterfeit product from your site?

They should not be allowed to continue with marketing products that are shown as legit products only to find out its a third party who knows where, making who knows what and why.....

I'm beyond disgusted and $70 lighter. So wish I would have had time to run back to get the legit product.

Hardly ever write views but to be fair to Yamibuy, after enough experience with them, I feel I had to. As a Chinese American with a Chinese stomach, living at a high desert New Mexico, Yamibuy is a heaven sent ! Love the products, love the free shipping ( after an easy reaching minimum purchase amount), love the fast delivery, love the easy search online platform, love the hassles free online purchasing process! I bought numbers of items from this website in order to take the advantage of spending $50 with free shipping.
two of the items tasted “abnormal”; after checking carefully on the packages, i realized there’s a stamped for “use before date” showing 12 2023, but I purchased both packages in April 2025 online. REALLY?! I cannot believe they are selling foods More than one year after passing their expiration date!!!
To be fairly, their customer service is good because two packages showed up damaged; their customer service was responsive and refunded me right away.
To conclude: I would check very carefully for every item from this website for the product expiration date!!

If a negative 10 were a rating option

If a negative 10 were a rating option, I would give it to Yami due to their extremely poor customer service and the significant difficulty in obtaining refunds, despite their advertised 30 day worry free refund, which led me to request a refund via my bank. Caution is advised when buying from this online store.

Soy Knots

I was very pleased to find that this store sold exactly what I wanted at a retail price I was happy with (Amazon is 3x the price). I stocked up. I bought 30 pkgs. The shipping took about 2 weeks which I live in a very rural area and it even takes Amazon a week to ship to me. So I wasn’t upset. I got them and they weren’t damaged.

I will definitely be purchasing a lot more from them.

Confusing Expiration Date & Poor Return Policy – Disappointing Experience

I recently bought bread from Yami, and the expiration date on the package is formatted as dd/mm/yy, which is confusing, especially since the typical format in the U.S. is mm/dd/yy. This led to some understandable confusion. When I tried to return the product (unopened, of course), I was told by customer service that they don't process returns for food unless there’s a quality issue. Fair enough, but their return policy isn't made clear on the product page, and that’s something that should be communicated upfront.

It’s frustrating to see a company so dismissive of customer concerns, especially when I’m just trying to get some clarity on a simple issue.

Yami’s return policy is a joke, and they clearly don’t care when they lose a customer.

Do not buy anything from this store! If you want to return anything, they will charge you 15% restocking fee. When you starts the return process, they would never tell you this until you pay your own shipping and ship the product back.

My personal experience with Yamibuy.com…

My personal experience with Yamibuy.com has always been very positive in the past year I have ordered from them. Most of the items I ordered are Japanese items with expiration dates clearly shown on their website. No other online companies that I know of provide this information. Their price can be expensive but are actually quite competitive compared to the brick and mortar local Asian grocery stores in my area. They offer many items not available in the D.C. area.

DO NOT EVEN CONSIDER!

DO NOT EVEN CONSIDER!! RUN AWAY ASAP!!! I never even bought anything from them but I put my email for the checkout cart since I had consideration of buying certain product. I ended getting bombarded by promotional materials. I attempted their unsubscribe steps but I continue to receive marketing materials.

This should be considered business malpractices and should be severely fined.

THE ABSOLUTE WORST SERVICE.
Situation 1.
I bought over $600 worth of snacks. Instead of knocking on the door, they left 3 big boxes outside on the ground. If I didn't go outside they would've stayed outside all night. Who knows what sort of rodents, insects, animals would've got at it.
Yami's response - The courier is not supposed to disturb the customer. Ummm.. That's dumb.

Situation 2.
I have seven hour express. I ordered $300 worth of snacks on 11/20 to be delivered 11/21. Nothing. No update. No email. No communication at all. It's now the 23rd and still nothing. No response from Yami. Horrible.
