Great customer service AND fast shipment !!
New customer, I signed up for Yami mainly for Japanese drug store beauty items. I ordered on Black Friday evening 11/24, and all 6 items arrived on 11/26 Sunday evening! Very happy with their online chat, even though it's a small purchase US$60 (for 6 items) , I received a welcome discount code email 5 mins after I placed my order, so I did a live chat trying to ask if I still qualify to use the 10% off, customer service J Tina replied :
"J Tina (11/24/2023, 6:31:07 PM): As an exception, we can issue a $6.08 refund for the price difference. After your order is shipped out, it will be back to the original payment method in 3-5 business days. " Excellent customer service, fast and efficient, I already received the refund on 11/26 morning, and all the goods on 11/26 evening :)
I usually order my J Beauty or K Beauty items from YesStyle in Hong Kong, but it takes up to 22 days for the shipment which is a bit long for the wait.
Very happy with the experience in Yami, thank you and will order more items soon!!

When I contacted customer support live chat and provided solid proof (the QR code on the product was scanning as fake) - the support agent was trying to argue with me that it's real. They kept replying in chinese even though I was responding only in English. Really unprofessional and take no responsibility for the fake products. Finally, the agent just said they will contact the seller and ended the chat. No apologies, just upright rude, critical, and tried to gaslight me into thinking I was wrong.
For such a big platform to blatantly sell fake products, they should be shut down!!
Yami canceling orders without reasoning
As pointed out by a few previous reviewers, Yami emailed me saying that they "encountered some issues while processing my order" and needed "a photo of my credit card". I sent them as they requested but received (very quickly, perhaps a bot?) another email saying "We had to cancel your order because your payment could not be processed" - no further reason or explanation was given. If they would need more information, I would have been happy to furnish them. But no, they just canceled my order.
Update: When inquired about the reason, they simply said "There are many factors causing an order to be held for further payment verification. When it triggers one of the factors, order have high risk, it will need further verification. Unfortunately, we are unable to check the exact reason.
If you still need the items in this order, we would advise to place a new one using a different payment method" - perhaps customers should test all payment methods to find one that works

I ordered a box from Yami Buy with a lot of variety, including fragile items like glass bottles.
Everything arrived in a timely manner, (within three days) and it came in good condition with albeit very little packaging.
However, nothing was broken and I am excited to try some unique Asian snacks. From what I have tried so far, the sweet potato Kit Kats are a standout. Yami Buy exceeded my expectations with how quickly it arrived and the accuracy of the order, but they do need to work on their packaging for more fragile items.
4.5 stars.
Very bad experience, waste of time
Use YAMIBUY, only if you have plenty of time to waste without getting frustrating.
Twice happened already! They charged me for the product I purchased on the same day, then I realized I didn't receive anything after a few days passed. Went to my Yami account, saw my order has been canceled! Without any note of the reason. I called them and they said they sent out a notification email which I need to respond within 48 hours. Tell me who will be expecting to have a normal online purchase which the money is gone from my card, but I should expect additional step like sending them the photo of my credit card, otherwise the money is charged but your order is cancelled. REALLY?
Huh, is it over kill? What makes more sense to me is: do their additional clarification ( if they really think it is necessary? ) , but not before charging me anything. I am very interested in knowing if they are allowed to do it at all ( take money out of my card, then cancel my order ).

I just made my first buy. A little nervous due to the reviews but everything worked out and the shipment arrived a little earlier than I expected for a price better than in store. Thanks, Yamibuy! Again, it worked for me.
Will not choose Yami any more, disappointed. Much better experience website outside, why Yami ?
It's very hard to return. And even they said free return, most of time it's not free. And if there is any, any little damage on the package or package is opened, they're not able to return. Very very disappointed.

I would not recommend to shop at yamibuy and my first ordered on July/15 /2023 and this ordered is starting okay . Then tell Friday July /21/2023 . The FedEx didn’t n deliver the package on 21 .then I started call the FedEx and said I asked me verified myself and home address , I did that .then Asking me what inside the package I said snack cookie and spicy fermented tofu ,soy sauce . That’s all thing I buy .Second time call FedEx lady first said can’t find this tracking number ,they she find it’s and said she can’t do anything about it .then I hangs up the phone .I Called the 3 times they wouldn’t do anything about it .then I did yamibuy first online chat said wait till Friday . Then I called Last time on FedEx and they said Owners of the yamibuy is investigating me .I said what for .the FedEx asked me for my email.I tell them my email account. They said the owner of the yamibuy will contact me in email .the call the yamibuy customer service second time and tell me waiting tell next Tuesday.then they will replaced my second package . Then number fiver time I called the location near me FedEx .I give him the tracking number .I said can I get the location my package . Him try to pretend , he doesn’t know when the package is located at .Then I filed a dispute with PayPal .they refund the money to my credit card. I am still mad at yamibuy .
I was worried but it was great!
I was really worried after reading some of the reviews about Yami because I never heard of it before. However, there wasn’t anywhere else that I could purchase the soy milk maker I wanted, so I decided to try. It arrived the very next day. Brand new. Just what I wanted. It’s legit!

Do not buy anything from this company! They only refunded my money after I filed a complaint with PayPal and also threatened to sue them. Until then, they told me the product that was charged but never received (over $130) was basically my problem and to take it up with the carrier. They told me I needed to file a claim with the carrier but did not give any info on the carrier. When I told them they needed to file a claim with the carrier because they hired the carrier, not me, they went silent - until I filed a complaint with PayPal and also told them I would sue. I just got my refund after a dozen emails to them. Never received the product. Awful company!! Never doing business with them again.

They Do NOT Make, They Distribute A+
People are complaining about the products. But this company is a distributor. These aren't their products. They get a shipment from asia, they quickly inspected and break it down into smaller parcels and distribute it. That's what this company does and they do an excellent job at that. I have never gotten anything expired from them in fact it's been quite the opposite. This company is 100% legit. They are the absolute best place to get any sort of Asian snack or Asian drink. They also have some weird little Oddities that are cool to grab. What sets these guys apart is their prices. It's sometimes more than 50% cheaper than anywhere else. They have cheap shipping. Yeah this place is legit. Don't listen to the reviews talking about the quality of the items. That's not what this company does. They are a distributor. That's what they do well, that's their job.
How can I unsubscribe from their constant emails
Im getting lots of emails from yamibuy. The microscopic unsubscribe button links to a completion with no unsubscribe option. Been to website and no Contact details. Infuriating. Any ideas on how to get rid of yamibuy??

Don't buy from this company
Don't ever buy from this company. They refuse to ship unless I send them photos of my credit card. There is something seriously wrong with this. I will have my bank cancel the charge as soon as possible as the charge is showing as 'Processing'.
Misinformed People
I love Yamibuy.
I had to make a review because a lot of people are misinformed. Most products you buy will have a date in the past because it does not mark when it goes bad, but when it is made. Google lens can translate anything you take a photo of, and it does indeed translate to "production date"
I never went through any sort of verification probably because I chose to pay with my digital wallet.
This is my 4th time ordering from them, and ive never had a bad experience so far.
My items always arrive on time and they have never arrived expired.
The worst customer service experience you can possibly imagine.
Don't expect to return anything when things go wrong.
The website claims "easy return" but when things go wrong and the product doesn't work, they make returns extremely difficult.
The whole "easy return" thing advertised on their product pages feels like a scam. I had to email them to request a return, then they refused, asked me to go talk to the manufacturer. I had to go to my credit card company to dispute it. The whole ordeal is just not worth it.
If you decide to buy anything from them, just know that it'll be a sunk cost if things go wrong.

The worst online shopping experience
The worst online shopping experience! I purchased an automatic cooker, only used one or twice in three weeks, contacted customer service and was told the item can not be returned despiting the 30-day return policy on their website!

Terrible system and customer service!!! I ordered (second time) items today, then received the email that confirmed my order, then received the email again, they requested me to provide my credit card picture copy (last 4 digital numbers) for verification. ...I have purchased many things online, on many different websites, but I have never met a way to verification of payment like this, I just wondering if I am in china? or in the USA ??? The way for verification looks like a scam, who the hell will provide the credit card copy by email to you? I canceled the order, and I won't use yamibuy anymore.
