Very limited inventory and expensive

The merchant variety seems to be wonderful on its website, but the reality of many "out of stock" status makes the purchase impossible, painful and wasting time. Also it's ridiculously overpriced on almost everything. Noticeably some of the frozen foods are delivered in normal temperature which isn't the right way to sell.

Do they sell your number to scam artists?

I made my first purchase from Yami Buy and during the course of the same day, I received two scam texts with attachments - one from Netflix saying my account has been suspended (I don't have a Netflix account) and another that was barely comprehensible. Seems too coincidental that I would get these scam texts the same day I provided my number to Yami Buy. I regret buying.

Unethical business behavior

Unethical business behavior!

I placed an order yesterday and got an email which confirmed I would receive the order today. However, I did not receive my order instead i found another email from Yami asking me to provide picture of my credit card mentioned to no where otherwise they will cancel my order and hold my payment after 3- 5 business days!
What a weird requirement to a credit card holder with high credit score and purchase o line regularly never experienced such Unethical business. Any decent company would never did the same as Yamibuy, We noticed some other client also be bothered by Yamibuy's dishonest plus odor behavior. Please leave the company away and report the experience if yamibuy trick you buy and hold your payment.

Shipping speed was great and the Tatung Rice cooker is great too.

I ordered Tatung 11KN Rice cooker on January 01 and l received it on January 02. Yamibuy is in California and l am in NYC. It is great!!! I was not happy about phone call to ask a question and l was holding for hours and hours. Anyway, l received the cooker before l received the email answer. Make me change from 1 star to 5 stars 👍👍👍👍👍.
Tatung Rice cooker is a great product. Very happy with my purchase. Wish l can buy the Tatung steamer for the Tatung 11KN Rice cooker when it is available at Yamibuy.

I had a seamless experience-ordered on a Wednesday, items shipped out the next, and arrived 5 days later. Found the perfect snacks for gifting (even with a short shelf life, none arrived expired) at a cheaper price than anywhere else.

Do NOT purchase from this website or company! I purchased a very large haul of food and snacks. Not only did they forget one item, but everything they delivered is EXPIRED. Absolutely unethical, dangerous, and ridiculous. Do not give your money to these scammers. Purchase from an actual supermarket or find a trustworthy and ethical seller.

DO NOT BUY!!! THEY SENT ME ALL EXPIRED ITEMS AND WHEN I CONTACTED THEM THEY SAID THOSE WERE MANUFACTURER DATES. THEY WERE NOT. I RESEARCHED THE MANUFACTURERS. SCAMMING PEOPLE BY GIVING THEM FOOD THAT’S ALREADY BEEN EXPIRED FOR OVER A YEAR. DISGUSTING.

non existence return policy

If you are used to amazon customer service do not expect it from here. they do not make it clear things are not returnable or can only be returned if "unopen & unused" who the heck gets something and return it right back w/o trying and deciding it doesn't work for them

Buy Direct from yami warehouse only

Do not buy from their third party sales, they suck, super slow shipping. If you buy directly from Yami buy they’re very fast they’re pretty fast. Just make sure you check the warehouse from yami Buy only.

Take a photo of my credit card? Hell NO! Does this company know the word call "Privacy "?

I purchased a lot of stuff from this website before. I stopped purchasing from it for a couple of years because I received a bag of rock sugar. The bag was broken, instead of replacing it with a new one, they sent the broken one with tape over it. It's just gross. Plus their stuff is constantly out of stock.

I started to give it another try this year. I placed at least 4 orders already. But yesterday, I placed an order about $50, instead of using PayPal, I used same credit card that I stored on my PayPal directly in order to get an offer from the credit card. Today, Yamibuy sent me an email and ask me send them the photo of my purchasing credit card with my name showing. No! I did lots of online shopping, this is my first time got a request from merchant like this. I don’t feel comfortable with this request at all. So I just canceled my order and buy from some other Asian grocery online retailers. This is company is very notorious of being operating bad business. Couple years ago, this Chinese company almost died because it constantly owe its suppliers’ money. Then it made it through, I thought it would be better. Well, I guess not.

Oh, btw, I left couple negative reviews about couple products that I bought before, for some reason it never showed up on the website. They are just not honest company period.

I placed an order yesterday and got the order confirmation email. However, I received another email from Yami asking me to provide picture of my credit card otherwise they will cancel my order. What a weird asking? Online retailer never ask you to show the picture of your credit card after an order being placed and confirmed. Is Yami's such request even legitimate? how to report this?

This company is not legit and trying to scam customers.

I downloaded the app and placed my first order yesterday. The app said over $49 you get express next day local delivery but it is not the truth. My order EST delivery is today but did not receive my order. I contacted customer service and they said because the warehouse workloads is overloaded so your order is being delay and they cannot provide a new EST delivery day because the driver already left the warehouse and not coming back today. This company is not legit and trying to scam customers.

I ordered a chest freezer from Amazon

I ordered a chest freezer from Amazon. FedEx delivered it to the wrong address. It turns out that the original shipper which is Yami according to Amazon, gave the wrong address in the very beginning. A completely different address. This address receives tons of packages from Amazon. Seems strange to me.

I had an AMEX Offer for $5 by spending…

I had an AMEX Offer for $5 by spending $25. So I went for it. This was my first time purchasing.

As others have said, they sent me "payment verification" email. They asked to take a picture of a credit card showing my name and last 4 of the card, and send it to them. OK, that's something different...well, that's fine. So I did. They verified it, so my order was on its way...until they actually shipped it (2 days after my order was "verified".)

The problem was: I needed the package sent to a physical address rather than billing address due to my billing address being an address confidentiality address. I am not suppose to send a package there. Only first-class mail.

When I ordered, I put the physical address as the shipping address. They deleted the physical address and sent the package to the billing address. As soon as I found that out, I called and tried to change the shipping address to the physical address. The Yami rep said she's going to talk to the shipping dept.

Nine hours or more later. The FedEx picked up the package according to the tracking. Oh, great. The destination city hadn't changed, meaning Yami hasn't contacted FedEx...

I called Yami back. They said they are going to try to change the shipping address or recall the package, but they are not sure they'll be successful. OK, let me call FedEx and see what they can.

I called the FedEx. The FedEx rep told me that only shipper can change the destination address or recall. Also, the FedEx rep told me that the shipper hadn't contacted them yet.

Calling Yami back. They kept saying the same script that what I demand isn't possible. Fine, let's do the 3-way call among Yami, FedEx and I. The FedEx rep told Yami that it will happen if Yami's Manager or whoever at this Yami signed up with FedEx call the FedEx to either change the destination address or request to recall the package. But, Yami rep kept saying the same thing that it's just not possible...even after FedEx told this Yami rep that it is possible. Just that Yami's shipping manager has to make the call to FedEx. While in the 3-way call, Yami's rep had other Chinese talking in the background and made pretty difficult to do the 3-way call although about half of the way of the call, Chinese talking in the background stopped.

Probably might have worked if one's life isn't complicated like mine. But, I'm going to make an assumption that if things go wrong, they can't correct the problem.

I now have to talk to the attorney general office of my state and see what problems this Yami created for me in addition to dealing with the AMEX for not receiving the package (the address confidentiality program will not forward a package to my physical address, only first-class mails...hope I won't get kicked out of the program...and hope the package gets refused).

Oh, by the way, I did feel fishy about Seirogan (正露丸) that they had on their web site, and I ordered since I needed it. It's a Japanese thing, but the picture of the box shown on their web site was in Chinese. Hope it's not a counterfeit (I now will never find out). Seigogan Toui-A was in Japanese though. I assume if you don't know the Japanese, can't tell what's written on the box.
