I never had any problem ordering from Yamibuy. It is not the most user friendly for folks who don’t speak Mandarin OR do not know enough about the Asian goods being sold at Yamibuy (as most buyers know what they are looking for since they have either gotten them before in those respective countriesor had something similar).

Demanded I send them a copy of my credit card and driver's license in order to complete the transaction. My credit card bank said never to do this. I refused to sent it. After several very frustrating emails I closed my account. These people are either a scam or very bad at business.

How is it that Yamibuy wants a picture of your credit card and id for purchase but still charged my credit card for more than 1800 worth of crap and I have no idea who they are so I never ordered anything from them. I'm getting pissed off all over again.

I do not recommend purchasing from here, try other places that sell Asian foods or snacks.
I tried ordering from Yamibuy, TWICE. Each time they cancelled my order on me, the first time was because of their payment verification that they needed me to email back to them in 2 days (Which I missed, my fault the first time) then I emailed them and they told me to reorder my items and it should go through and they'd email me again if I needed to verify my payment, I ordered with an extra item or two and they still cancelled my order without any email to verify my payment this time, I can't say I'm very pleased with this situation and will definitely be ordering from the mentioned above, instead. I'm thankful I used PayPal as my refund was pretty quick and will be using this on other websites with a better system.
UPDATE: Received an email, pretty generic and automatic and just told me the same exact thing. They said "And if the new order still needs to be verified, we'll send you another email." which they did not. Still would not recommend this website.

I had to cancel my order twice because they asked me to provide a picture of my credit card and ID over email, which is a crazy suggestion and scam likely. This is the first time I've ever been asked to do so from ordering anything online. Not only that, but they charged my cards twice in the interim. Ordering from YamiBuy is too much of a hassle and is not worth it. I will never be purchasing from them again. Also, they have extremely poor customer service - I do not recommend at all. If you're thinking of ordering from YamiBuy for the first time, don't. This company is incredibly unprofessional.

Disgusting company that sells nasty, expire products
I ordered from them in December and received products that had EXPIRED back as far as June. When I reached out to them to make it right they told me to just go ahead and eat it, it is probably fine. I had ordered over $200 worth of stuff and the half a dozen things that were expired totaled to less than $20. Seriously? You won't even make $20 right? It wasn't like I was asking for a full refund and there had been a few things that expired at the beginning of the month that I didn't even complain about. Horrid customer service. I won't ever buy from there again.

Used to like Yamibuy until .......
They recently cancelled some of my orders without any reasons or further notifications. Contacted customer service and asked me to provide pictures of my business credit card, business website link and bank statement in order to purchase a product from them. But on the other hand, they have already charged my credit card the day when I placed my orders. Held my money and cancelled my orders? Who looks more like a scam here?

So far so good
I have shopped with Yamibuy a total of 6 times and have only been disappointed ONCE when an item I ordered was substituted for another flavour, after it having apparently gone out of stock (which was never listed as out of stock and I was not alerted). Pre-Corona my boxes arrived in under 14 days with everything I ordered inside. As a rule of caution, just like I do on Amazon, I only buy items I need that have 'Fulfilled By Yamibuy' stated under the product in order to further reduce potential issues. Customer Service could be much better, but so far so good.
EDIT: Placed two orders and both arrived within 5 working days after being notified that they've shipped. Everything intact, but as I said I only buy what is 'Fulfilled by Yamibuy' and never through overseas vendors connected to Yamibuy's online bazaar. Yamibuy itself has a vast enough storehouse of goods imo.

I placed an order on Yumibuy with my credit card that I use for all purchases online and instore for years without any issues whatsoever. Youmibuy denied my purchase and sent me an email, quote:
"Please provide the picture of your payment card and your ID/Driver license or Passport."
This feels wrong on different levels:
---Why is it the card is fine with everybody else?
---Is this safe to have them possess your picture of photo ID, passport....?
---Is this practice legal?
No response from their customer service to my inquiry.
As another consumer who ran into the same conundrum says: run the other way and I did.

Delayed delivery and no tracking available
Website says delivery in 5-8 days. After placed order, got an email says delivery will be delayed due to covid-19. Then the tracking is not available. Don't know when my order will arrive. I also ordered from T S EMPORIUM 德成行 two days after I ordered from Yamibuy. Already got the package on 12/16.

do not buy from them, cannot trust them
made a order recently, received it pretty fast, but three items did not have production date, shelf life or best before date on the package. I contacted the customer service, they just gave me some best before date, which I don't know whether it is true or just some made-up date, and one of the date they provided was not even for the product I requested.... it all feels untrustworthy. And I contacted them again, no response whatsoever afterwards.
