I tried to set up a account and send…
I tried to set up a account and send emails to friends and colleagues. ALL were labelled by Yandex as spam and there was a ridiculous process just to get my mail sent.
Also in the address area the sms as extra cc came whether I wanted it or not which I didn't - i just wanted to send an email not have sms copies, I could find no explanation for this
After more jerking around I simply deleted the account

I would like my money back would i get my money back
Rubbish.
Rubbish.. I verified everything and I am still unable to sent email. I tried to contact the customer service but they did not even read my messages. They sent me the same email again and again!!!
Don't waste your time
They selectively choose if you should recieve emails or not, regardless of the account authentication level you choose. Joke of a provider, use something like protonmail which doesn't randomly block your account. Shittest provider going, don't waste your time with this awful company.
Great email and a great wallet
Great email and a great wallet, if you are smart enough to read clear warnings that you will be able to spend money in Russia. Plus, identity verification is not that hard and yandex never failed me yet.
Simply thiefs
Simply thiefs . They stolen my founds, claiming that there was security reason to block my founds. There is no way to use your money if you can't verify your id onsite in Russia. Of course there is no problem to create account and transfer money in. There's no security issues with that at all and no id verification is needed. When you create account you are lied that you will be able to pay without id verification in russia - thats a lie. Dont trust them, dont create account, don't transfer any money.
I created an account without a phone…
I created an account without a phone number. Then I tested and found the service to be a joke. I sent an email (from gmail) to my new yandex account and received it in seconds. Then I tried to reply and this is where the joke unfolds. I was required to enter captcha 5 times before it sent the reply THAT I NEVER RECEIVED! OK, maybe gmail is on to Yandex and wont accept. So sent yandex an email from my own server that yandex received in seconds. I tried to reply to that one and my account was flagged as spamming (24hr suspension). WHAT?
In an effort to be fair, I logged into one of my windows cloud servers and created a new yandex account. Tried to send an email to my gmail account and I had to jump through the captcha hoops only to have my account suspended again for trying to send 1 email.
Recap: 2 account created from different PC's on different networks with near exact results. Account suspension and ZERO emails successfully sent BUT emails were received.
takeaway: use this service solely for receiving emails that contain verification links that can be clicked to activate and receive informational emails that don't require a reply. Maybe if I gave an active cell phone number, the problems may go away but so does your anonymity.
Is Yandex actually a phishing site?
I signed up for a Yandex email account to use as a spare address (i.e. disposable). The process was straightforward, and not too intrusive. I sent one test email to my main account as a test, which worked fine. I then suffered some illness and didn't come back to it until a month later.
I went to the webmail login page and used the credentials held in Keychain on my Mac, but, on logging in was given a full-screen message stating that they suspected I had been hacked, accusing me of entering my Yandex address in a phishing site or having a virus, and offering a recovery link.
Since I have not used the address (except as above) and definitely have no viruses, I was immediately suspicious. Oddly, the message even misspelt my username slightly!
I clicked on the "Restore access" link, but this started asking for personal details I don't remember entering when I registered. I bugged out quickly.
This feels deeply suspicious to me, but it is not just a phishing email in my inbox. It kicks in right from the point of login. I never get to see my inbox or anything.
It looks to me as if Yandex itself is a phishing site. If it is, it's very elaborate, but I can't see any other reasonable explanation for this behaviour.
The Yandex help pages take me around in a circle, from one automated recovery system to another (no providers want to pay humans anymore!) all of which ask more intrusive questions which I'm sure I never filled in at registration, so this cannot be for confirmation of identity.
So my only strategy now is damage limitation, by staying away, and stepping up security on my other account just in case.
So I recommend avoiding Yandex at all costs.
This is an experienced user of Yandex
This is an experienced, tried and true rating and opinion of Yandex.
Firstly the best part of yandex in my opinion is it's unparalleled handling of my mail. I'm over half a century old and have tried all the email handlers in my nation. The problem with capitalism is that it preys on others to capitalize upon, which might be why yahoo is my worst rated email handler (constantly asking for me to change my password for security or statements of my account being comprimized, etc.), I've tried msn mail/outlook, google gmail, rrmail, and of course the internet providers mail services. They all sucked badly. I'm going to guess that I've been using yandex for my mail now for over 5 or 6 years and would you believe not one solitary hitch!? No statements that "your mail cannot be accessed now, try later" crap, no finding important mail funneled to the garbage can, no customers telling that they received an email stating that their email was returned for blah blah reason, and more!
Yandex is U N P A R A L L E L E D in my book!
Now I'll admit, google is my first choice in searching for quick answers, HOWEVER, I have been fumed when not finding an answer for 4 or 5 pages deep in the results and finding it right on the first page of the yandex search engine.
Now the clincher, the videos section. Yandex rules over Youtube (even though most of the videos are from youtube, they're offered WITHOUT the train-your-dog to press "3-2-1 SKIP AD" cr*p. When yandex.com fails me, I move over to yandex.ru to save the day. There's more (seriously, like the free cloud drive, the webmaster dashboard, the unlimited accounts and linking of the accounts with never so much as a hiccup). I'm in America but ...my hat is off to russia for yandex!
amen
I joined this site and paid $97.00
I joined this site and paid $97.00. After reading about the different online businesses that were available I decided on medical coding since I have a background in nursing. I called the registration number to get more information but the agent started asking me questions about my personal finances which I felt uncomfortable sharing. This is a scam!! Trying to get money back.. no one answers phone
Yandex always claims I'm infected
Yandex always claims I'm infected. I tried to like their services, but these folks are either very inept or scammers. I signed up for an email account years ago, and they claimed I was not a human and demanded more personal information. I continue to try to use their web search years later on different computers behind different routers, and they still claim I'm infected and try to get me to download some supposed antivirus. I have no idea what their problem is, but as a programmer, I'm fairly certain that I haven't been infected for the last 10 years on every computer that I use. And while some may claim Yandex has amazing AI genius experts working there, the search results are of a low quality.
if you're not russian, STAY AWAY, JUST STAY AWAY
signing up in yandex money is so easy, you will get a wallet number and able to deposit funds there, BUT when you want to pay online or withraw they will ask for id verfication which is only available for russians, online id submission is impossible, the only way is by post or you have to go to one of their offices to verify it in person which is impossible unless you want to travel 500+ Km to do it and thus your money will be stuck forever in yandex money.
IF YOU'RE NOT RUSSIAN JUST STAY AWAY.
SUCKS
SUCKS. I can;t get the P.O.S. to work. It is not only blocking all outgoing email it also is censoring out all 'but their own' incoming email.

I did try to deposit 10 USD to my wallet. This worked. But if you want to send this money to somebody, you have to be verified first. The next agent for this is 300km away for me. Online verification is not possible.
I do not understand this logic.
Now i try to refund my deposit. After 14 emails with support, money is still there and i can not use it.
Very bad
Tried to use this email. My messages don't come. Something is not right. Proton is better.
Yandex is a scam
Yandex is a scam, it only tries to get your personal data, it’s unusable.
